Scratch what I just said, I added one more ultimate heat plate and it went from just a measely 0 to 14, I think BILLION!!!!!! In one single tick

Maybe we could have an alert for when the heat in any fan starts going up?
(I'm in t4 fuel and have to leave the game for hours, and I don't want the whole thing exploding a half hour in because the heat went up by 100 per tick or something for each fan)

And yet again, my reactor blew up, this time, it was absolutely zero, at a steady 1K, then all of a sudden it spiked to 8M, 8 FREAKING MILLION HEAT!!!!! SERIOUSLY! WHAT THE HECK!?!?!? I NEVER EXPECTED A DISASTER LIKE THAT!!! Also, it's a bit annoying how the heat exchangers are majorly needed now, I understood before they were an upgrade via doubling the cooling rate, but now? It's a bit annoying, but, whatever, can't complain that much.

It would make more sense that heat exchangers should prefer to push heat into the heat vents rather than other places. This would increase the cooling efficiency overall, and would allow the system to completely drain of heat.

So, um... After doing a bit of calculations... The final time upgrade for the final cell will last for... Well, um.... 64 days... Real time.......

Currently the biggest limiting factor is Heat exchangers, best model exchanges 231.48k. To offset 1 of the Quad Nefastium Cells you would need 450 exchangers. You can only fit 8 around a Coolant Cell nested Quad Cell, exchanging 1.851m of the 104.166m it creates.

Serinorah: Using quad nafestium cells is not efficient to use if you use cooling cells. First reason: Their power:heat ratio is low. While I am using single cells I get 5 power per 1 heat created. With quad cells it's not more than 2 power per 1 heat. Second reason: The quad nafestium cells generate way too much heat, that the coolant cells are filled pretty quickly. So you pay 1T cash for a item that is suppose to last 1 (or more) days, while it wouldn't last more than 2 hours, that's a waste. Also, to clean up the screen, it's very easy, just remove all reactor plates, and put a low tier Cell in the reactor. It will overheat, and everything is gone. Then start building again.

The bug with the reactor plating upgrade really limits this game because, after a certain point, you reach a point where you can't use higher-end rods without reducing your total income or using coolant cells, and if you are using coolant cells and forget to check your game every hour or so, everything will blow up...

Also, it would be awesome if physical location would matter more. For example, heat exchangers could transfer heat between adjacent components much faster rather than between itself and reactor.

I'm a little too early in the game to have too great of an opinion, but so far the game is great. It reminds me of Industrialcraft's nuclear system from Minecraft.

The game seems broken at the end, because I can't make it go faster when nothing is going on, it doesn't idle when closed, and I can't sell back the fuel with compensation. Like, there could be a 'stable state' light and then I could "finish fuels". Or, it could idle. Probably the one I like least is sell back fuel with compensation, but it would work, and is easy to implement. It takes up a lot of processor, so I don't necessarily just leave it open.

Decided to experiment a little. Changed location of some reactors. Production got 1.5x boost. Ultimate meltdown a minute later. Would rate 5/5 just for what, but 4/5 because it is rather repetive and boring.

@lokeli in the upgrades down at the very bottom left that path will automatically sell 1% of your max energy per upgrade so once fully upgraded(will take quite a while) you will automatically sell 6% of your max energy. but i do agree it takes quite a bit of work to get to the point where you can idle especially if you have to learn how everything works first

its such a good strategy to have 8 coolants 2 up down left right and having 4 spaces in the middle and placing cells in the square its so good

interesting game, but i would rlly prefer it to work towards a more idle gameplay. For Example, were you wont have to click "Sell all power" every fricking 1 to 5 second

Tried to push my reactor a little bit harder, overheated the vents causing a cascade meltdown full-on China syndrome. 11/10

reading thru the comments it is pretty obvious that an expanded tutorial should come soon. a lot of people do not understand how the heat exchangers balance the heat percentage between all available sources (itself the reactor and the vents) so that it will actually keep your reactor temp at the percentage that a vent takes out of its own heat. for example, assuming you have more than enough heat exchanger power and your hypothetical vent can hold 100 heat and get rid of 25 per tick your reactor will stay at about 25% heat capacity

I'd love to have heat exchangers that you can toggle the flow of heat. Being able to make one heat flow only towards fans would make for much more stable designs.

Heat generation seems to be odd. I was safe at 300/4k heat, then it shot up to 9k and everything exploded. I didn't even add a new component

Adding to the Heatsink passive doesn't add anything after the first 1%. I have bought 5 of this skill and it is still 1% per heatsink
