@cael: nice update, but i think it's a little bit too generous ;)
And there is one problem: After resetting my uranium produces 36qi heat/tick; took a long time to cool down my reactor again :P maybe you should let us scrounge until 60$ so we can afford a vent or make single uraniums uneffected by EP-upgrades.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ah. apparently i connected as the update was being applied so the description to the right said the last update was the 8th but the game had just had the last update applied
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok for some reason I just came back to the game and all my upgrades had been reset. I still had my reactor built but none of the upgrades. anyone else had this happen?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I truly hope you guys see my comment this time, I mentioned it once before. I'm really hesitant on going through with a prestige because of the cost of exotic particle upgrades. Going up by 10 times the previous amount per level is just too much, please scale it down, or do something, because the increasing requirements for EP's is already on a triangular scale as it is. Upping the cost for EP upgrades in multiples of 10 just throws the scaling to levels of insanity.

We really need big update on cappacitors, or at least the last one. Currently half my reactor is only cappacitors so i can auto-sell the power i produce. Prestige increase from level to level of upgrades is crazy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh crud. I meant to prestige but I reset instead. You should put a big red warning message when people click the reset button the first time so they don't make this mistake. Either that or put the reset button smaller in the corner. Something to think about for the next update.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this game is epic, its missing only one thing: sound! seriously, this game is amazing and unless the sound is crappy this game will only go up. also mute button is obviously a need.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be nice if we could see something like 10 second instant replay of our reactors exploding. Because I placed down a quad uranium cell and my reactor turned red and everything was gone! Kablooie!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Okay, you need to fix your algorithm for heat transfer. Placing two fuel cells and two heat vents near each other, all of the heat goes to one heat vent, and one heat vent gets unused. This is dumb.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I wouldn't mind seeing the reactor start off small say 5X5 grid and let us buy new blocks for new parts 1 at a time til we are at the current max blocks or greater, tho letting us decide the shape of the reactor also. Some of us OCD folks like perfect squares while others might like an octagon. Letting players define the final shape will lead to more diverse builds I'd like to hope.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is going to sound a little OCDish- but could you add 1 more layer to the top/bottom of the placement screen? It's quite uneven :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
so, for anyone who's gotten to getting a few fans and/or exchangers, a good tip is to always keep a balance between power output, and not accumulating too much heat, and a good tip is to use heat outputs (the blue things in the heating thing) to link with other fans not part of your main reactor, to add to how much heat can go in, while the reactor dishes out, so bon appetite!

@dillybar9876: not sure if the prestige bonus applies but it was going up from 7.5 mil to 7.75 mil IIRC.
However, that's moot becaues the short lifespan of protium means that it will quickly overtake a nef build with the constant increases.
However, that is also moot because exotic particles is calculated using the lesser two of heat and power, and you get a ton more power than heat so you want to maximize heat anyway (after a certain point: power gives you upgrades which let you maximize more heat, but it's not worth getting protium for that short time period when you have to switch over anyway)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just an observation, it seems that the upgrades (regular, non-prestige) quickly reach a point of diminishing returns, as the bonuses are implemented by modifying the bonus value by a constant amount each time. The first few times, the increase is substantial, but it because proportionally smaller every time after that until it almost isn't even worth your time. This somewhat defeats the purpose of multitiered upgrades. I'm also not a fan of mechanics where the upgrades are so powerful that the game loses all coherency, so I realize this is a tough thing to balance. Just my 2 cents!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Does anyone know how much power Protium increases by after it depletes? because Im making 41m constant and I don't want to go down to 15m if it's going take forever to surpass the 41m

Formula for exotic particles:
P=floor(sqrt(2*H+0.25)-0.5)
H=Total heat dissipated in trillions (ommit last 12 places).
P=total particles+particles from next prestige.
floor= round down, sqrt=square root.
If you dont care about slightly overestimating: P=sqrt(2*H)
So to double your particles (total) you need to quadruple your heat (total).
Actually instead of H it should be min(H,Power), but who has less power than heat?

One intake valve breaks down...and the entire reactor explodes.....serves me right for buying pre-owned parts from Chernobyl.

What is the frigging deal with idiots thumbing down perfectly valid comments, does it make people feel better that they can try to oppress someone?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A suggestion:
Define, clearly in the game, what you need to do to prestige.
I have the top tier items and run my reactor hot but I see no ability to presitge.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I have a suggestion, sound effects.
I often let the game run while i do other things or I don't pay attention to the game fully for various reasons. If the game had sounds such as explosions or a klaxon if the heat exceeds a set amount (such as 80%), it would be cool.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yup, I'm matching a triangular progression from 1T for the minimum of cumulative power or heat, independent of prestige selection.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@oldYouth does not look like it resets, atleast mine fits with a triangular progression with first one at 1T. total now 3631 NeXT one 2102 so 5733 total. have 16.442 Qi total heat (power >>). f(5733)=16436511T=16,436 Qi
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@JustAMinute: It's actually Power OR Heat on a triangular progression from 1Qa (although reddit have found it may be from 1T) It uses the lower of the 2 (Power or heat)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Can anyone clarify how exotic particles are totaled for a given prestige? I thought it was power+heat on a triangular progression from 1Qa. Did that change, or am I just doing my math wrong?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Clarification on my comment, single cells have 2 added for adjacent dual cells and four added for adjacent quad cells. Dual cells have one added for adjacent dual cells and two added for adjacent quads. My last comment wasn't very clear.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ravensvoice:
Single cells get adjacent dual/quad cells added then squared. Dual cells are only increased by one for adjacent cells. Hence,
(4^2)*2 = 32 times base heat for a dual cell bordered by two dual cells and
(9^2) = 81 times base heat for a solo cell bordered by two quad cells
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
trying to make a heat production design for farming exotic particles I came across the following: a single nefastium cell with two quad delorium cells next to it produces more heat then a double nefastium cell with two quad deloriums next to it. I think there is an error in how you calculate things.

Suggestion: When you have an empty space(or even not) if you mouse over a block, it'd be nice to see the total cooling capacity for said space.
So let's say I have a Quad Dolorium in a spot...I want to see with my upgrades if it can support a Double Nefastium Cell... it should say "Total Cooling Efficiency is: X". I can then see how much the Double Nefastium cell generates.
