@Ellysius: Every coolant cell can hold the energy of 8 pulses of your protium cells, which means one collant cell is enough for one second of one protium cell. I guess you are more busy changing cells than actually running the reactor. Even with upgrades you have to change the cells still every 14 seconds.

Bug: Basic heat outlet (16 heat/sec) surrounded by 4 basic fans ((4x4)heat/sec), yes the outlet still fills all the fans and causes them to blow up. Should not be possible. What's happening here?

This game needs offline calculation. Who the f**k runs the PC 100 hours straight just for this game? And then look at the high scores. even with offline mode this wouldn´t be possible....wtf

I do think this is a nice little timewaster. But, I can share the frustrations of others when it comes to lopsided tiers between power generation and the ability to handle heat (in any fashion). I do understand this is a work in progress. Many of us here are glad to see work still being done on this game. It's very nice to see a developer taking time to finish his/her work (especially on a free to play game!). I would like to thank the developer(s) for taking the time to make something enjoyable for us. Suggestions: 1> Allow heat exchangers to have certain directions blocked off from connecting to parts as needed. 2> Add piping of some sorts to allow channeling of heat in a more direct fashion. 3> Possible bonuses to all performances based on unused exotic particles. This one would probably help bridge the gap between the tier 5 heat sinks/capacitor vs tier 7 power generation problems. Nice work once again though :)

1) prestige formula needs rework, like the lesser of heat dissipated vs energy generated, really? How about some synergistic calculations?
2) hacking prevention algorithm, ie as seen of the current top 3 possibly top 5 scores

I do think that heat outlet need to have changed mechanics it puts 4 times more heat into heats vents that they can handle. So it will not work. Maybe with heat exchangers? But then i can give 3 vents per exchanger, so still not good. So there is problem in balance.

autoreplace tech for protium (either for money after you've unlocked them or for exotics)

vent upgrade @ experimental tech (either a buff for all vents or an unlockable next tier)

Ok, upgrade cost scaling up by 10 times for the exotic particle upgrades, that needs to be fixed so it doesn't ramp up so insanely fast. It already takes a while to even get EP's, but then the upgrade cost scales by 10 each time on top of that? Please look into this, and thank you for making such an awesome game.

1) put numbers into scientific notations (especially statistical page, I get myopic trying to figure out how many digits are there)
2) offline mode plz, i like idling my games offline, no need to contribute to global warming trying to play this game.

@rick_4235 I was stuck on this for a bit too when first started playing. Then had a facepalm moment when I realized once you select an element, you then click where you want to place it in the grid. And please don't rate down the *entire* game just because of that. It's one of the better idle games right now on the site, and very unique.

The heat outlet does not work properly. It takes all heat out of the reactor, not only the amount stated in their details. And the reactor heat is not split equally to all heat outlets. Just like russian roulette.

Anyone got a good max *HEAT* reactor? My current one is 19 dual Neft. Reason being, prestige is based on the *lower* of heat and power, so, heat will always contribute more towards prestige given that after a decent amount of upgrades, all cells produced more power than heat.

tip: since there is no clear all bottom, exploding you reactor is faster if you intend to completly restructure it.

Tyler my comment was towards a different build using Protium cells..
That nofastium build will always be limited to that 26T, where nofastium will rise until i have the capacitors to support it.
Kohle, the first upgrade is managable, but i still like the idea of burning 4 protium cells instead of 2. Racks up the "radiation" faster.

@The_Froggy: Thanks for your suggestion. I decided to prestige again and look at proper upgrading. I bought unleashed fuel cells directly after first prestige, but the disadvantage is not that bad. I got two protium with twice as much power as your four protium cells and thus half the costs and required place. But you are right, i will not buy the 5 k unleashed fuel. This wouldnt make much sense due too much heat. I need not much for the fourth cell, so i installed two double nefastium cells for additional heat (heat pays exotic particles). http://i.imgur.com/zCa3Pe5.jpg

There's something about running your hull heat to the absolute red zone and setting it up so that you can idle it at that heat, that I just enjoy doing.

Can you make it so cells of different types can be placed over each other like you can upgrade cells the same way? Left clicking and then right clicking to replace cells can take a long time to do.

It would be really nice if we could save reactor layouts, then rebuild a saved layout with the click of a button (assuming we have the finances to do it of course). A saved layout could just be a string of text, like a chess FEN.

not sure what happened but when i placed a tier I seaborgium cell alone next to my wonderous heat vent my entire screen exploded and i lost everything. the seaborgium cell produced only 1.25m heat and the heat vent lowers its own heat by 25m every tick. still liked the game while it lasted

there is 0 way for it to blow up if you set it up correctly (as long as your outlets pump in LESS heat than your Vents can handle: you make sure of that with correct upgrades aka not getting exchanger upgrades too high. and 2nd if you calculate your outlets and vents. For instance, i know i have 19 outlets handling 4*75B heat. that means i'm safe for 4 cells, but i'm 250B heat output short of handling the 5th cell). and if you look, i'm earning multiple times more money than any of the "safe" setups. Have in mind: the whole setup is worth 15Qa. you get that much in a 5 mins if you set it correctly.

@the froggy Although your strategy is a fast way to be more space efficient it is also much more dangerous since doing it the more basic way distributes heat throughout your vents and such. It is less heat than this strategy so risk of having your stuff blown up goes quite high.

the room being 16x19 really bothers the spacial organization, I would sugest a square 15x15 or 18x18 since the basic cell-vent disposition is 3x3

Shouldn't i/o evenly distribute heat by something like (total inlet)/(total outlet) to each outlet, rather than randomly pick an outlet and give a full burst from one inlet?
