@cine: In such complex games like this are extreme builds with one dominating component not avoidable. The most extreme build is currently having lot of capacitors. A minor change in balance could maybe make a build with lot of vents or platings. But one thing is shure. Its even for experienced developers very very hard to make it impossible to make extreme builds where no part is dominating. The prestige makes it possible to increase output drastically. This one will deliver 81 T in 2 cycles of protium cells and there is still a bit room to get more out of it. http://i.imgur.com/WO1Xqer.jpg After next prestige with 10 k particles this build will have twice as much. But i have to wait some days for it.

It still feels wrong that the primary limitation is actually collecting/selling the power. All builds I try stumble on number of capacitors - and thats before growing protiums.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The caps cannot really keep up when you reach 40T-45T builds (build 16 with 600 exotic) and thus impossible to make more than those 40T, even though the build is actually outputting double that.

@Cael Bug report update^^ i wrote: "Bug Report: There's a problem with passive cooling now. i have enough (outlet + 4vents) combos to cool down 6 Protiums, but the first one already blows it up. no idea why..."
now i have an idea why. i need a plating to place a new protium cell without causing an explosion, but i can remove it when the reactor is running. there seems to be a kind of "initiation heat" going into the reactor after placing a new cell that causes a short overheating.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Suggestion: Making an upgrade for auto replacing the experimental Protium cell. even if it cost a massive amount of Exotic particles
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Im not shure about, but there seems to be sudden explosions when the cooling is done with outlets and the maximum heat of reactor is lower than the sum of heat per tick of cells. It seems to occur after clicking pause to let the reactor run. Its nothing worse but i guess others are also curious about the sudden explosions as i was.

Is prestige still based on the *lower* of heat and money in equal amounts? I'm running 43 Dual nefastium now. Generates a measly $29.5T, but, 17.8T heat. (With upgrades, I could get $55T idle, but only heat matters.)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Stop complaining about the new update, nothing changed in the stuff balance, my reactor has the same values os if your reactor exploded is YOUR fault.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is something going to be done for the fact that "uncontrolled heat" is actually detrimental to buy because it slows your protium growth?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ah, an interesting idea for the double and quad protium cells just occurred to me. You could have them last twice and four times as long, respectively, but give twice and four times as much of a protium bonus, respectively.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
With lates update i can run 5 protium cells (almost 6 without 2.5 qi and 10qi upgrades) stable only thing is manually replacing them can be tiring. And again an achievement system can be nice with benefits of course.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Update just makes it look epic, now I can waste time or go idle in style!
PS, How do you get exotic particles? I did prestige (free one) and got none on next playthrough, ?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The back key for upgrades and prestige would be better if put closer to the actual upgrade and prestige buttons. Going all the way to the bottom is annoying. I know, it seems petty, but you'd be surprised how much a difference it makes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sorry to say it but I actually don't like the UI update, I thought the game had a unique style to it the way it was. Just my two cents I still really enjoy the game.

to dev & @gotan - thanks for replies/comments, here's a suggestion for offline calculations to be clarified : the game summarizes influx & efflux of heat through reactor based on build. Though this is a process that has dynamic interplay when viewed at the component level, taking the big picture perspective would help simplify the numbers into static properties for use in offline mode calculations. The crux is to handle both coolants and vents, which are the only components to remove heat from the system in this game. They either last for the entire time between logins, or they don't. Interplay of inlets/outlets are immaterial (superfluous components, but i understand why they're used). Hope this helps. @nicolea - your twitchy clicking finger(s)/abilities >>>> mine. i'll just let mine idle.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ellysius I can assure you, at the rate i'm clicking the manual heat venting button, it's 100% stable. I ran it for hours today! The only issue is that i can't collect the money faster than i'm earning it >:D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@elly: and how do you "calculate to make sure reactor doesn't blow"? For some reactors the only way is to simulate the whole time, and that might take too long.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@TylerL45: Look here to understand what The_Froggy talked about: http://i.imgur.com/0LoUs0F.jpg You may notice, that the TWO cells are already giving 71 Trillion per tick and if the froggy playd as long as i he will have the same result. If i continue this for another day, one cell will be enough for same result. Nefastium will never be as efficient and allways be limited to a way lower value while the power of protium increases continously.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
One problem i found you can reset the game really easy on accident it would be nice if a box in the middle would show up and be like are you sure you will lose everything and gain ''x'' points for the reset just my idea
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@nicolea - *YAWN*, unstable build
@gotan - offline mode easy, 1. calculate to make sure reactor doesn't blow 2. if so, use time needed to blowup to calculate energy gen, otherwise calculate energy based on last login, that simple (+anti-hack)
The problem is calculating whether or not the reactor is going to blow. It isn't simple. You can't just see the rate at which the reactor gains/loses heat, because that changes over time based on various states.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is there some way to enable offline progress? I don't really like keeping the window open at all times just to generate power.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@The_Froggy: Let's get this straight... You said "if you look, i'm earning multiple times more money than any of the "safe" setups." I don't see the words "for protium only reactors" anywhere in that statement. You then argued with "That nofastium build will always be limited to that 26T", which is also bullshit because that same reactor is now at 29.878T per tick. Over 5T/tick more than your reactor. http://imgur.com/nwrcAru

I think I consider it a misstake to invest EP in unleashed fuel cells.
To burn 100 protium cells will have the same effect as the upgrade without the drawback. But I might not get there as fast with the upgrade because of cooling issues.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To all asking for an offline mode: this might not be possible with this kind of game, since it's near impossible to do a time integration without simulating all the steps, and that could simply take too long. While some idle designs are not a problem, an offline mode must handle all designs.
An alternative could be an "acceleration" bonus that is accumulated offline and lets you run the reactor 20x faster until used up (19 hours give a bonus that lasts 1 hour).
Otherwise power and particles accumulate much too slow and make the game a little boring. Also the costs rise too fast for too little benefit in the later part of the game.

I'd like to make a suggestion to help save some players some time. allow us to click and drag to fill empty slots. It helps with the configuration I'm currently working on....especially after I put one Protium cell in and the whole place goes Willie-E-Cyote.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@oldyouth: The protium cells get one upgrade of 1 % everytime when one is empty. It is permanent and does not depend from placement and lasts until next prestige.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How does protium radiation work? What is effected, for how long, and how much? Do they need to be adjacent? Does it still work if they are separated by a reflector?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
around 127 'ultimate capacitor' are enough for best 'active vending' upgrades :D rest should be 4 'ultimate heat vent' with one 'ultimate heat outlet' 31 times. Only upgrade 'heat vents'/'active venting' in relation > 'heat exchangers'/'active exchangers', so no 'heat vent' is overheating
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Would have been nice to know that the first experimental took 51 particles, now im starting over from the beginning with no benefit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be nice to be able to see how much heat is being dissipated per tick, since that is the main factor determining gain of exotic particles.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game so far, enjoying it alot. Was hoping to see in the future a total heat production, with maybe a total indirect heat reduction. It hurts alot when your trying to figure out a new set up on a higher tier cell and you only have a half second before you blow up.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To those of you complaining about the Inlets and Outlets spreading heat incorrectly, I ask you to READ CLOSELY. In the description of the item, it states, and I quote "Each tick, for EACH ADJACENT COMPONENT, this device takes XX...." It is not XX spread out, it's XX to EACH vent. This is not a bug, it's user error. Please stop complaining about this, since it's your own fault it's happening.
