Ahubrel- the infinity symbol replaces fuel cells as they go out. it's quite handy, though the upgrades are a tad pricey.

Finally made it to Stavrium. I've got a pretty good setup, I think, but configuring the upgrades correctly is a bear. I'm generating 940Qa/t, but can only sell ~338Qa/t of it. Naturally, I'm focusing my money on capacitor upgrades, but it still takes a while. Maybe I should focus on exotic particles and get those prestige upgrades.

for everybody confused about the button under the play/pause button: It enable/disables the "auto replace" upgrades (such as perpetual uranium, perpetual plutonium, perpetual thorium, etc.) Plus this comment if you found it useful.

is the game forsaken by the dev or just out of ideas? the prestige cells are pretty OP compared to the normal ones in price.

It would be nice to have a kind of selection tool to add or remove multiple components at once, or something to upgrade multiple vents for example.

there shouldn't be a cap on money... especially when you have like 192 per ticks but can only receive 100 per "sell all power"

I spent 4 days in row and my game froze and lost all progress.
If you dont help me recower savegame i am done with game ....

I think it would really use some kind of component that only transmits heat when either it or the reactor gets to a certain amount of heat, possibly even being programmable. Then it might be possible to actually use forceful fission without babysitting it.

There are a few things which are not clear, just from a cursory examination of the in-game tutorial, and I'd love to see a diagnostic or experimental mode (as others have suggested) to test out new builds.
Apart from that, I gave it four stars. I'm an avid Minecraft (Tekkit) player and am always trying to optimize my reactor builds, so this hit home for me. I think it's different enough that the IC2 team shouldn't have a problem with it. Honestly, if this is an homage to their work, they should be both proud and impressed.
Planning, waiting, planning, waiting, planning and waiting. It's far more amusing than it should be.
Lastly, I'd like to point out that this is the only Idler I've seen where you can actually fail. I like that. It puts some challenge into it. Sure, it's frustrating when the whole thing goes kablooey, but at least there's a reward for not screwing up.

Something I have noticed and tested out on my own: For beginners (much like I was when I blew up everything), I have found two designs that work autonomously with proper upgrades. 1. In the middle have 6 vents arranged in a pattern such as :::. Around those vents you of course put power cells. Double up on the cells and put vents down. After that, repeat the process until you can upgrade it. 2. Heat exchangers, heat outlets, and vents are a lifesaver. Place heat outlets in a square 5x5 or larger. Then put vents on two parallel sides of the square. Add a lair of heat exchangers beside the vents, then after the heat exchangers, put a final lair of vents in the middle of the square. You have just made wireless heat transmission and should be able to place power cells wherever you'd like. Just make sure you have plating in case you place too many cells. Sorry for the long message but I hope I helped.

what about a pattern maker, where you create patterns with components so we can click once to put lots of components at a time. it would be amazing to put a entire layout with one click

being able to see heat per tick in paused mode would be incredibly helpful. it'd be nice to know if what I'm doing is going to blow up the entire reactor before I unpause the game.

kNIGHT0wl that would make the game much easier then, so you could just get a really good cell that produces a lot of heat an energy, but u slow it down a lot so u just wait for the power, sell it and then just spam click the heat down button

still anyway if your new place a heat vaulve (blue componant for putting heat into a item) surouned by 4 fans surounded by capacitors for a 6x19 area last ro set capacitors, this cooling grid needs all fans upgraded before the heat valve or you will find every thing goes wrong fast and tier fuels apropreate, us a fuel reflector fuel reflector pattern should look like a chess board if done right over the rest of the remaining area, upgrade reflectors via prestige to get better power proformance multi block fuels will create too much heat, hope that helps new gues to get to better adv setups have fun ^^

To experiment stuff in this game i built few platings, lots capacitors and pause game. If i done building new compounds i unpause and pause quickly to avoid all reactor kaboom.

After countless hours of playing this, I think it's safe to say that I should never be allowed to own/run a nuclear power plant..

maybe add a better way to track heat, like an actuall heat map, because these mini bars dont tell a very good story when it comes down to it. also, maybe an experimental lab of some sort for testing of special designs, make the price real but no profit. and maybe add a "save modle" feature, mybe make it so thats an unlockable option with prestege.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
added some quad plutonium cells, paused to see what i could do about the overheating for about a minute, unpaused and everything explodes. 10/10 would play again
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This could potentially be great, but as I can't save/test heat I would place down one too many ___ cells and have to start over.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
dont hate just coz it lets all noobs get max out of a reactor and use protonium within 3k presteige but i get 45t power and can absorbe 7t heat with only 5k prestiege just rember to upgrade the capaciter and heat exchange prestiege points for better proformance

like this comment for chrome users and share for people who use unity on chrome https://gradecam.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205443017-Enabling-NPAPI-in-Google-Chrome-Version-42-or-higher this will allow you to use unity web player on chrome just type chrome://flags/#enable-npapi in your browser, enable NPAPI and restart browser!

about previous set up last row should be capacitors till the plate then copy the fuel reflector patern also if done right its 1/10 in coolers so keeping track is easy as if you hold 140 bil in 1 you hold 1.4t in the set ^^

Another thing I'd like to see is the current heat reduction for a setup so I know how much heat I can generate before the meter becomes non-zero.

I have an idea: you can get a biger reactor by
getting money
selling the money
getting a bigger reactor for $!
it is a good one, id love it if you did add it though :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I suggest for these things
1:More tier of Heat Vents/Plating/Capacitor and all other related equipments. For now even the Ultimate Reactor Plating can't hold a single seconds with some misplaced high tier cells
2:Larger Reactor upgrade/Prestige
3:Rebalance the Heat Outlet
4:Testing mode which allow you to see will the reactor blow up before you really place a higher tier cells into it.
5:Quick replace all you to replace all your cells to higher tiers.
6:More Better Regular cells(can auto replace, generate fair number of heat and power)

I can manage to get 6.427T cash per tic using 39 dolorium cells and surrounding them with reflectors. I have infused fuel cell 4 and unleashed full cell 3 with level 5 for energy production. I don't understand why people hate on indirect cooling, I don't see why you would use direct cooling. I mean sure if I place anything that produces too much heat and I don't react everything blows up, but I can always easily afford to fix the problem. It is kinda easy to get it in a state of balance and leave it. I got up to 2362 exptic partices from 76 by leaving it for a few days.

@720K None of those fans are doing anything; they're just wasting space. That setup will eventually overheat. If you want an actual efficient build, here's one. http://imgur.com/gallery/DVwydXz/new

A great potential tool could be the ability to select a portion of the grid and either sell everything in it or buy a copy of everything in it and place the copied items somewhere else. It would speed up most construction by a lot.
