Description

Medieval Merchant Simulator is a text-rich strategy and trading RPG set in Europe in 1205.

Begin with a modest purse and a handful of goods. Study local markets, buy where supplies are plentiful, sell where they are scarce, and plan caravan routes between more than thirty cities. Every journey can bring profit, injury, ambushes, unusual encounters, or difficult choices whose consequences follow your company home.

Your ambitions extend beyond simple trade. Establish a headquarters, develop its tavern and farm, hire people, craft valuable goods, fulfil personal requests, enter tournaments, and uncover stories told by travellers. Different starting characters provide distinct advantages, drawbacks, and a unique starting die, so each campaign encourages a different approach.

The game supports mouse and touch controls and can be played on desktop or mobile browsers. English and Ukrainian are available in the settings.

Age Rating

Recommended for players aged 13 and older. The game contains non-graphic depictions and written references to medieval combat, injury, death, imprisonment, gambling with dice, and alcohol in tavern settings.

AI Use Disclosure

AI-assisted tools were used during development to help create some visual assets, draft and edit narrative content and translations, and assist with programming. All generated and AI-assisted material was reviewed, edited, selected, and integrated by the developer.

How to Play

- Use the mouse or touch controls; no keyboard is required.
- Start a new campaign, choose a character, and complete the short introduction.
- Open the Market to compare prices, then buy goods that your caravan can carry.
- Use Travel to choose another city, prepare escorts and supplies, and resolve the road map one day at a time.
- Sell imported goods where demand is stronger. Reinvest the profit in transport, workshops, personnel, and your headquarters.
- Most activities spend an action. Use End Day when you are ready to restore actions and advance time.
- Save regularly from the main interface. The game also keeps autosave progress in the browser.
- Tip: a cheap local product is not automatically profitableโ€”check distance, danger, provisions, carrying capacity, and the destination price.
