The range improvement is especially important, because it lets you start to pick off enemies before they come within firing range.

Univern72: remember to take into account space savings and range increases. It is easier to defend a few larger, but tightly-packed structures than it is to defend a bunch of smaller ones. There's also the fact that the "power lines" between structures and energy sources take up space as well.

I did weapon 2/6 on normal finally using 4 missles maxed to kill the mother ships. a couple thels and a couple pulse and 4 repair stations. turn off the missles when you don't need them it saves resources.

Style and idea are awesome. Upgrades are NOT better than lots of small structures. For example, two mining guys are better than one upgraded mining guy. THELs are pretty crappy, using a ridiculous amount of energy and costing an insane amount of minerals. Missiles are infintiely better. The math behind the game is unsound.

Very good job guys. For the future, I'd like to see a little more variety (one more weapon that works very differently from the current ones should do the trick). Also, while straight defense levels are nice, I really like the levels where you start out with few resources and must build your defenses over time, balancing mining expansion with defense expansion and choosing which areas to protect.

I am just beyond terrible at this. Most of these levels I can't even fathom at normal difficulty. 24 mother ships at once? Without resources? What could possibly work? I can't make heads or tails of this.

Strangely_Blue: This is a seriously cool game. For the first few missions. After that, it dies the death of all base-builder games: it gets REPETITIVE. Very. Repetitive. Did I mention that it's repetitive? Most base-builders attempt to survive, in the same way that lifeforms do, by evolving as the game progresses, but here there's absolutely NO progression in the tech-structure as the game goes on: just the same old units and the same old upgrades again and again. So, to paraphrase Zaphod Beeblebrox: plus ten for originality but minus several trillion for replay value, okay?
--- signed, repetetiv as hell

Last level, just build 7-8 energy generators, upgrade them. Put 5 pulsars upgraded all the way on the left and right in a vertical line. Build 4 repair stations upgraded and build 16-18 missle silos and upgrade them. The missles kill large groups of ships and with the number you have the ships will barely reach you. When they do your pulsars will get them. The only 'hard' part about it is get your 7 generators built and upgraded before you start building the other stuff.

There's one problem with using Pause and massive builds.
Don't massive build =p Your building is based on available power. So build up a few power plants first, or at least upgrade your existing one before building. Otherwise you'll be wasting time bogged down with lower power from the get.

My stragtegy for defense always works!
I have about twelve fully upgraded missles inside a ring of fully upgraded pulsers, with one thel on each side , two total. Inside the wall I also have two repair things and one fully upgraded enegy storage(that things rocks it will save your life) and five fully uograde solar stations.

I did the whole game on normal and hard, except for the mothership missions, which I did on easy.
This is an excellent game, but boy, those weapon missions are hard! I can't even get through the second one!
The wierd part is I did the rest of the game on the first try.
Still, spectacular game. Good work. Could use upgrades on turrets that you earn and don't cost money, and badges would be nice too.

Awesome game. Great graphics, great gameplay. 5/5. So far I only beat one level on Crazy (the final level), but I could be enticed to play again for badges... (hint, hint!)

Easy little hint....use the "pause" button, the one next to your normal and fast speeds, and set up your entire defence and power systems right there, Hit fast and bam....you got al the work it would take you to do in 1/4 the time. (( you lose alot of time clicking in real time))

When you hit "SPACE" or "U" when selected a Basic Laser, it gets upgraded, but not THEL nor Pulser. When fully upgraded, it acts like a beam weapon and it's powerful if you ask me. Haven't done the calculations, both power wise and money wise, but it seems it's powerful then a fully upgraded pulser, though I don't remember its HP, and if it can destroy missiles or not. Neither energy consumption

@ Xandramas: it does have upgrades, you just dont know how to do this.
there is no certain way to complete this with little hints you gotta do it all on your own.
@robotking98: your just a guy who doesnt know how to coop with strategy.

I didnt really count the missiles, but i just packed in as much as i could till i had about 5k minerals left, and only upgraded the outer walls of missiles to level 2

Last bonus level used 4 rows of 10 missiles, 4 power stations, 2 repairs, and 2 pulsars. with the powerstations, repairs, and pulsars in the middle of the walls of missiles, the ship gets 3-4 of them, but dont kill enough for them not to be able to take the 2nd ship 5/5 :)
