another key on the early mining levels is to figure out the enemies attack pattern and plan your mining accordingly. For example in the first couple mining levels the waves will ONLY come from one direction, which means you can branch out through the entire asteroid field in one direction and not even worry about making it defensible.

I liked the first one and I like this one even more, due to the different kinds of missions. I also like how you opened up the settings more, allowing us to slim the game down to help with lag issues, which was sometimes a problem in the first one. Good goin, keep up the good work! :) 5/5

for those having trouble with level 7, the key is to have most of your defense revolve around basic lasers, and then rotate the lasers as the enemy waves rotate around you.
Once you understand how the level works its actually quite easy, no motherships or swarmers, really missles arent even required, although they can be helpful

to Psilo707... those pictures are just how to be neat and beat that level... I just use huge amounts of rocket in a straight line...

@zecrus
these things called energy stores are really helpful they save energy for later use rank one is 200 and 2 is 600

I was getting bored of TSG1. This is a nice change of pace. I really like the little "side missions" added on here. They give you a break from the main missions, and it's a fun challenge to try and create the ultimate barrier of destruction. :D Again, it provides a good change of pace. True, it's exactly the same structures and weapons, but what all you get to do with them has changed a bit, and the goal isn't always the same (with the side missions). 100% awesome. 8D

Use Energy Stores, those will fill up with energy when you aren't in combat using it up for lazers...once those get full, it's harder to run out

There should be a more powerful version of the solar station, fully upgraded solar stations just don't generate nearly enough energy. During response 2/4 I had 9 fully upgraded solar stations and still was constantly low on energy

Good game. Ignore those who say it is the same.
Suggestion: Could use more zoom levels. I feel like I can choose between only being able to see my base, or squinting to see things from halfway across the galaxy. Need some intermediate choices there.

Wow, until I read Ritesign's comment, I didn't know that you could build while the game is paused. Loads of help right there!

Same gameplay as the original, but a variety of enjoyable new levels. The difficulty levels scale well, and most missions can be tackled in a variety of ways. Setting up your base while the game is paused is a useful feature for overcoming some more difficult levels. All in all, the game plays exactly as titled; it's still "The Space Game", but now there are missions.

This game is exactly the same as its prequel. In fact, I thought it was for a moment.
Nothing changed, besides different text dialogue. Perhaps an upgrade system and new towers would suffice. It gets quite boring using 4 types of ultimately similar defenses.

If you have an opion on how this game can be improved go to the general gaming forum a find the the space game improvement thread.

This game is harder than the last one, particularly the moving protection levels, like weapon 2/6. Escort missions aren't fun, never have been. They might be necessary in real-life situations, but they don't belong in games...

way too hard, you can only beat it ONE way; set it up JUST right otherwise you fail. - That isn't funny. Let it be at least a little bit flexible

Slick, fun, challenging (only if you want it to be), and just long enough.
Only criticism is the smaller-than-usual upgrade levels and number of buyable objects. Small potatos, really.

>.< I guess I suck at RTS because I can't beat lvl 3 on normal. A game that I enjoy even while I'm getting owned is definately a 5/5. Well done.

good game 5/5 just got one thing they should add upgrades so u can make stuff faster and such otherwise very nice game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
they should add a factory sort of thing that builds jet fighters or sumthin and it unlocks a load of fighters instead of just turrets

I love it, There is actually a use for thels and upgraded pulsars in this one for the defense levels.
In the original it was about 95% basic lasers with missles, here they mix it up more
