Pliso707, you cant do that because the solar stations need powering to be build and if you let the thing go to the middle, it blows up the station, re-think your solution.

As some comments below say, having a fighter base, similar to the repair station, would be great. Each fighter would cost X mineral to build and would need to be charged with Y energy. That way they'd have to keep coming to get charged again. It would make the game a bit more exciting.

Heres how i beat Response 3 on Normal: http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2484/response3a.png <---- trap the ship in the middle cause thats where it goes at first no matter what. then it has to choose each of the 4 corners to go kill. while its doing that, the other towers are all firing on it.

I agree with Rhinogamer, and you should be able to deploy, maybe at a limit, some fighters. Maybe as a temporary support, or have a "shipyard" of some sort and they would have to reload their munitions/ordnance.

Great game. I loved the original. Wish there were more "new" things in this besides missions though. Would love to see upgrades that you could "carry" with you from mission to mission (like technology upgrades or something), that you could purchase with winnings from missions, or would allow you to gradually power-up your technology so you could tackle harder missions, or tackle a mission that is giving you trouble,

On the last level with 2 super ships, I had 20 solar station 3's, and 5 energy storages 2, full of energy, and the 5 thels and 7 missle launchers (twice that for weapons, a set on each side, which I sold the one side once that ship was dead) and yet, despite my 2000+ energy stored, the thels were actually running out of energy by the time I killed the last guy!
Those thels are huge energy gulpers...

This is a great game I Love it 5/5
would love to be able to download it to my computer. would be neat to be able to have your own ships to sent out on patrol too so you don't have to rely on just the lasers and missiles just an idea for the next version of this great game.

Gets a bit repetitive, powerups would have been nice for variation.
Just max a couple of pulsers and 4 maxed missiles and you'll beat the game on hard.

Sweet Jesus! On the first super miner level, near 80%, it went like this: 5 motherships, 20 exploders, 8 motherships, 8 motherships, 20 exploders, 16 exploders, 8 motherships, 8 motherships, 5 motherships, 20 motherships
That's a lot of firepower =\

really good 5/5 i never upgrade to THELs if i don't have an energy store they take a lot of energy i usually use lasers on most or pulsers i rarely use anything else...i pause at start of game and mass build miners usually done b4 enemies get there

Pause and build, never upgrade miners, only upgrade to THELs when you plan to make a permanent defensive structure. Recycle EVERYTHING when it isn't being used, swarm small asteroids with miners to clean them quick, expand by building defesnses in the direction of the enemy and branching off of those when they come from a different direction, etc. etc.

It's probably too late to ask, but it'd be nice if we could turn off lasers like we can with the miners. Sometimes THEL's take unnecessary energy from my reserves when the weaker weapons do just as well.
