the story is correct, and i like that. to supply: the Normans were descendants of an earlier viking huscarl who got exciled, and the vikings did exist in sweden and denmark as well - but it was the norwegean ones who took England. for instance, the town York was actually named Jorvik by the vikings. and the king's name was Harald Hardråde, but i'm sure you couldn't get that in English.

Great game i would love to see this idea continued through other battles, i loved the unit/point system, i would complain that it was short but that is not the fault of the creators, the battle of hastings was only so long

3 battles might seem short but, because of the graphic, the multiplayer option, and the "build your own battle" feature I think is more than enough. The thinking behind the game is excelent. 5/5

For all those people complaining about there are only 3 levels... well, in fact in 1066 there were only 3 important battles in England, so...
Yes, the game could be better, improving the multiplayer, or making a second part in another period of history, but i give 5/5.
Please, improve multiplayer!

ok .. wait .. that was it?! 3 battles? .. holy ... no .... i mean .. story is the most easy work ... you could just even copy the levels three times .. what the heck^^ shit shit shit... almost 5/5 .. its killing too much ressources -> 4/5 ... for the shortness .. almost 3/5 ... damnit .. it has a multiplayer .. hard vote .. somewhere between 3 and 4/5 .. ill give it a 4 .. it was fun.

This game is the best strategic game i ever played on kong.
Not only a great game, with perfect historical accuracy, but the only that makes you to fight the battles in the way they were fougth. (i.e charging and retreating with cavalry in the hastings battle, and much more)
I give 5/5.
It needs badges, and a much better multiplayer, with rankings and chat.
And, a lot of times the multiplayer shuts down.
Anyway, i loved it!

The only thing that could make this better would be if you added move formations like the Tortoise Formation and other famous formations like it, and maybe special units like catapults.

this is great... multiplayer is a bit useless as every1 takes normandy, so you cant get a figth or it would be normandy vs normandy. still a fantastic game. 999999999999999/1000000000000000

HORRIBLE. The archery is poorly done. HORRIBLE. It's supposed to be a war and strategy game. Archery clearly favors the computer, is near impossible to aim. And too many of the attack commands rely on typing and rhythm? Absolute steaming pile of poo.

I love this game, everything is right. How refreshing to play and learn. (although I'm English and already learn't this chapter of history). Non-bias factual, educational and fun. i loved it it included vicking and my ancestors might have been vikings it included archry whitch i like it included the english men and im part english it needs badges and a sequle and i liked the cavalry

Best strategy ever. Use Vikings, use no archers (their archers blow, anyway), and use charges as your main tactic. Flanking, and charges. Boar's snouts will let you wipe away any shield wall. This works on just about any difficulty, against every enemy. I use 6 Varangs and 4 warriors.
