I have found a bug. Sometimes the ridicule of the opponents to enter text breaks off in between or at the charge as it breaks off between inside and freezes. Is it just me or with you in so well?

this game is certainly one of the best games ever created vote up if youd like them to make one with one of the world wars

I absolutly love it. A bit confusing at first, but very good. I would pay for this game. I do like the "create a battle option" it adds more levels.

No, because only rarely did soldiers break ranks in medeival battles, the punishment was to high. The godwinson example was a rarity, because of the effects it produced. So it's better to not have them immediately adapt.

awesome game, i love it! only 1 complaint: the game is too short. but defenetily 5/5. is there a sequel to this game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this game needs badges i think i have a suggestion maybe for easy or medium kill 10000 enemys or something because i mean i the first level you at least kill 5000 or 4000 enemys.

I understand what your saying about Godwinson's men at Hastings, but since they did break ranks in the actual battle, wouldn't that happening in the game make it more realistic? I see how you controlling it would subtract from it, but would the individual units acting in such a way increase the realism? If it would happen it would probably be along the lines of running away with low morale.

I wasn't being hostile; rather, I was saying the inability to immediately react is needed to make the gaem realistic. Units did not chase down any unit which moved without orders; They waited until their general ordered them against the enemy. If you want to know why this was needed, see the example of Godwinson's men at Hastings. You are grumbling that the game does not have a feature to adapt to the enemy's moves, which is in a way complaining. I pointed out exactly why it should not have a feature to immediately adapt

@easy506th
When did I "complain" about this game? All I did was play it and then leave my opinion about what I felt would improve it. If you don't agree with me that's fine, but I feel that this is no reason to be hostile towards me. For an example of why I think some ability to react would be good is when attacking units. If I order one of my units to attack another and then it moves slightly, logically, shouldn't my unit chase it down and attack it if that was what I told it to do? I also never said anything about not being able to win and don't know why you brought that up.

I keep going in for a Multiplayer, but there never seems to be anyone in, which is a pity cos I think this game may be the perfect one for that..... anyone else feel the same?

Don't complain about inability to immediately react to what your opponent does. You have the next turn for that. In the actual battles of stamford and hastings, as well as most medeival battles, commmanders did not have that ability. Having to wait a turn for your plans to work or fail makes the game more realistic, and that's the most important thing in such a game. Just because you can't win does not mean the rest of us want it changed

This is one of my favorite games on this site and is easily a 5/5. The main thing which I would like to see added to it is the ability to react to the battle. When you give orders to every troop before the turns begin, your plans don't always work out. I feel that you should be able to react to what you opponent does.

This is rally an excellent game!!!
Just one thing: i think a squad's damage should depend on the number of men still alive in it (1archer does not throw as many arrows as 15)

a few points about the game:
it is one of the best strategy games ever
it is challenging enough
to short campaign
it is cool that it haves online
it is also cool that it haves free battle

Best Tactical ive ever played!!!
Only negative is that youre rank is being controle by how much Moral you have in the end i think it should be a mix between how many troops you killed/Lost an moral combined but thats just my opinion.
Awesome game!!!

The FINEST period themed tactical game I've ever seen in a thousand, over a decade. Strongly hoping for a sequel, with offline battles (preferrably a two player option). Extremely high quality and production values, will be checking back for a sequel regularly... please don't disappoint. Oh, and the minigames added delightful variety

great game by channel four. EPIC! I disagree with Odecjusz. The game does not need to be long. There was only 3 battles in real life and the game is for channel four website to educate people on that particular war over England. Also, my archers always get different casualties and hitting space repeatedly adds more fun to the strategy game.

Odecjusz i agree and also i think you should get a better rank if you win with a loy more troops than the others.
I once killed 2300 more than they killed of my troops and i got "captain" rank.
Then once i killed 1300 more than they killed me and i had 71 moral left and i got "King" rank (This was on hard and i have only got King rank once on hard so i was pretty happy :))
But i just think thats weird because when you fight its about losing as less troops as possible but in this game its about the moral you have in the end...

2/5... in first reaction I want give 5/5... but:
-1 for shortness
-1 for strange casualties calculation. Why my archer always done the same casualties? For example with 500 No of men always 54... and with 250 the same 54?!?. The enemy too :/
-1 for that bonuses... in tactic game, hitting "space" for bonus? I understand that words when "tauting" but in charging, heh... and where is radom in battle?
It could be very good game, need little more effort. I hope that vol.2 will be much better ;)

Loiner, while remembering a code may be a bit of a pain, I find that it has its pros as well. You are able to continue your game from anywhere, even on a different computer.
