Total shite. Fix the broken archer controls, the whacked out balancing involving the taunts, and ferchris-sakes! Sort out the taunts - I taunted at the start of the match and no boost? No chipping of their morale? Stupid system. Stupid game. Such a shame as it's visually beautiful.

Really, really well made game. Nicely finished, and although repetitive, it doesn't get boring. Maybe that's just because it's quite short? But then again you can't invent history, so great job!!

no morale were lost. and my soldier which were just standing still just ran away. they wasnt attacked. also one or a few time it hapened that it didnt let my soldiers move AT ALL some turns. jsut the computer was allowed to attack. also the thing where you push up down left right... you have like 2 seconds time to push them (and get like... 2 or 3 to push). it starts frmo 9 seconds and it takes like 7 or 8 when it get tthere where you shold push it.

heres how the balancing system goes ENGLISH:balanced armies
NORMANS:mainly calvary rushers that charge at mostly anything. only weakness a fortifying infantry with good def ratings
VIKINGS the type of army that usually sits back with its best soldiers and fortifies

My troops are over 9000!!! Although I rated a 5/5, I think there are too many troops, I know it doesn't affect gameplay, It simply shows that humans aren't really THAT weak. The arrow storms are like the Persian army in 300 that blotted out the sun and they wouldn't kill that many people. Looks amazing, though.

I love this game it is exactly the kind of game we need more of, I hope that there is a number 2 coming out soon. Although I wish it had a save set up so we dont have to repeat the same levels to get to the one you are on. 5/5

This is an amazing game. Definately 5/5. Absolutely awesome narrations and, get this, a game creator that actually isn't an idiot! Historically correct, Battle formations (though having simplified names for ignorant people) were cool. Great game. Definately needs badges. May I suggest in a sequel (yes, I know there's no sequel to history but) having naval battles. Or have the persian war instead of english invasion. You guys are geniuses. Needs badges. 5/5. Absolutely awesome.

How the **** do you get your ****ing archers to fire a SUCCESSFUL ****ing shot!? Retarded game I don't recommend it 1/5.

Seemed great until whenever their archers got a good shot my group would run off screaming. Didn't matter that I had my morale in the 70's and the enemies in the teens. I had almost double the army too. Pain in the arse.

I love this game! It's graphics may not be the best, but it only makes the game better! The historical content is as right as it can be for a game and the gameplay is exiting and puts your tactical skills to the test!
Really good 5/5, A+, dicethrow 6 and 100% good!

I really wanted to give this a 5/5 for the historical context, the integration of battle strategy and mini-games, and the implementation of battle strategy such as charges and shield walls. The opening sequence, very reminiscent of Shogun: Total War, was also splendidly made. However, I am forced to give it a 4/5 because of serious flaws. Units not being able to attack (or flank) to the side is just silly and is a significant fault in gameplay mechanics. Also, the inability to make formations backwards (boar's snout) is ludicrous and belies a lack of forethought on the part of the developers. It's also unfortunate that in Campaign mode there is no option but to choose Vikings, then Saxons, then French...especially when army customization is already possible. All in all, this is a great leaping off point for a series of games, but by itself is just too lacking to deserve much fame.
