Great game, can't stop playing the custom battles. A more developed editor would make the game almost perfect - the game system can basically describe any battle in Europe from about the 6th to the 12th century. Add a few units/armies (Avars/Magyars/Saracens/Byzantines, slightly adjust statistics for Standard Units depending on People/Nation), and you've got a universal game. Keep up the good work :)

Norman Cavalry dies too easily, and Norman archers cost too much. Vikings, especially Varangians, are better than everybody else.

my short but pro guide:
1: always pick normans
2: use the horses for ramming into people beacause
it hits alot
3:always have a defense or offense formation so
that you team is mostly safe.

5/5 but there is a glitch with cavalry charging, whenever someone charges with cavalry it gets stuck on the animation of the chargers hitting the unit. This needs to be fixed, please.

It's one of the best strategy games on Kongregate. Maybe it's the best.
This game is filled with historical information and you have to think before every step you make.
I gave '1066' 5 of 5 stars and added it to favourites.
A sequel would be nice.

Full out CHARGE. That was for fun but this game is awsome 2 complants unlimeted armys well 2 actually defense to a base ad nmake it longer but other than that it was a great game. Spelling i know.

this game was pretty fun. only a few balance complaints... Cavalry die too easily and ovarall just arent effective enough. Also, taunting is TOO powerful... My army isnt gonna run away just because they got called a mean name.... overall i still enjoyed playing the game. 4/5

bug found, my men kept running off past the map on the enemy's side and some of them were running in place. 2/5 for that

Actually I agree with Sunflash they should make sequels, like the war for britannia: Welsh, Irish, and Scots included or even make a europe version with all the medieval powers

I have not played in a long time so a good strategy game. I recommend the red third nation in the campaign. I spent time with her two hours and could not further away ....... My rating for this game is a 5 / 5.

It would be good if it was longer, like after the storyline there could be a made up part to rule the world and you get to upgrade your troops and by different weapons and skills :D
