The taunt function needs to be limited somehow. One unit should not be able to "scare" off an entire army. While I was messing around and experimenting with archers, I left the sole remaining unit alone (except for firing at it with some archers) and that one unit was able to lower my Army's morale from over 60 to 0 and win. I had 7 or 8 units.
Perhaps weight the effectiveness of taunt based on the size of the forces.

Did a charge with a boars snout formation. The units that didn't engage an enemy ran off the enemies side of the screen and now the game is stuck on "charge" animation.

They don't flee because you call them names or anything, they flee because your troops are showing that they don't fear the ennemy, that the ennemi is miserable compared to what they've already faced in the past, they're showing confidence through these insults, and the opponent, seeing that the ennemy seem unbreakable despite all these losses, is discouraged and abandons the fight, as victory doesn't seem to show up. Remember that these guys are putting their lives on the line...

seems like medieval battles were won simply by calling the enemy names. I can already imagine Vikings returning home, somebody asking how was it? "Well, we outflanked them, but then they started yelling at us and calling us names, so we fled."

good game but the soldiers are cowards. I can never put the difficulty on hard without my entire army running away because of insults.(I wish the the northern Europeans were like Spartans back then)

I always make sure to kill the king the second I see him out of place. It doesn't change that a "brutal" taunt from an enemy unit reduces my moral by 8 points while my own brutal taunts slightly poke them.

All my badass vikings ran away after they killed all the englishmen cause the asshole on the hill kept shouting at them...

Wow somehow those taunts from the english almost beat my as the vikings. I had five units left and killed all but their king, but those taunts made two of my units run away and reduced me all the way to 7 morale

I had four units of archers and i crushed them
In one battle i had 7000 they had 7600 andi had 5000 left my arhcers got 4500 kills

This game is just brilliant. The only flaw is that the game is too short! Even so, it has near endless replay value, and the singleplayer can be used to create any number of tactical situations.
The art style is lovely. The tri-color approach really caught my eye, and the splatter effect really added to the game.
The voice acting is solid, and the narrator is great. As a bonus, you get a history lesson!
Overall, the game was well implemented, simple, and elegant. One of the best flash games I've ever played, 5/5.
