The campaign cheats so bad. :L My archery is like theirs but I hit nothing and how am I supposed to win when I get brutal attacks with plus 70/60 moral and my men run...HELP

I find this game possibly the best strategy on the net, simply because of the perfect balance of tactics and execution. I love also how the programming and style of gameplay lets the two factors support each other's effectivity.
I only think that units should be able to attack from 'above' and 'below', as well as the sides. MAKE A SEQUEL IN A DIFFERENT TIMEZONE!!! YAH

Tactics:
Fulford - Use min. 4 Varangian Guards to block the 3-space passage, then send all your warriors round the 1-space passage to kill the earls. Don't bother with archers.
Stamford - Block the bridge with min. 4 huscarls, then use min. 3 archers to all aim at the king.
Hastings - Really difficult on hard. Get 3 archers and loads of huscarls; use two huscarls to kill the king, and it gets easier after that.
TIP: Only use your king in battle if necessary.

It was the end. Both our leaders had fallen and all I had left was two archers. As the barbarians drew near one brave archer yelled "Pig filth!" The remaining barbarians ran away crying for their moms.

This game is simply beuituful good graphics i love it i like how its tactics you got be good its awsome game i like the history matches i simply love this game anybody who likes a good streagty game this game is the one ur looking for this game is simply awsome 5/5

I used to love this game and destroying everyone on multiplayer but unfortunately, the multiplayer doesn't work anymore. It says there was an error connecting to the multiplayer server.

This game sucks when it comes to "Morale" Im winning, they only have 1 unit left and i have 4... they just sit and one spot and taunt then i loose!?

a good strategy game, isn't modern warfate,it requires a lot of logic, a lot of ways to battle, good strategy gameplay, it will be really more simple withour moral, but with the moral you need to adapt and a lot times that you are losing if you hit the enemy chief and kill his troops, the battle changes a lot, everything you do is really important, the archers miss, the charge that you do, all can change the battle, and you will need to adapt an the because this the strategy will need to be really more complex. perfect game, one of the best medieval strategy game, probably the best 5/5

I'd like to see this done, *NOT* in the WWII straight off... there were other wars in history you know. How bout the 100 years war next? Napoleonic wars next? Then the Crimean war, and so on... finally World War I, THEN World War II, and of course Korean, Fawklands, Vietnam, and so on from there. Dont just jump straight to WWII.

You could do a game just like this. But with world war 2 and guns. with trenches! Then artillery so trenche will be valuable.

i love this game this was my childhood game and seing it once more is the greatest thing i always used o put everything in to archers and couldnt beat 1st level but now i am more strategic thank god for this game

It is a good game.. and it had vikings in it which made me happy... now they need another one of the spartans, the romans, and the persians.

takes forever 2 load but is an awesome game that totaly deserves a sequel
maybe the war of independnce or ww1 or 2

Oooo, loved it, but missing some things: for instance, lateral atttack is completely gone, mabey the ability to mke longer shield walls, more troop formations, terrain (?), and other things. Would love to see these things in a sequal (perhaps 869, when the danes invaded) + if you agree
