Unfortunately the skip button didn't work for me so I couldn't get past the opening screen to plat the first battle. :(

I had a problem were the enemy troops just charged through all mine from one end of the map to the other, and then past, now they won't stop even though they are way past the edge.

My best victory: I lost 652 Men. Enemy Lost 4310 Men. None of my men Fled. 1209 Enemies fled. My Archery: 3031. Enemy Archery: 152. My Morale: 100. Enemy Morale: 0. Difficulty: Hard. I played as the Vikings vs. the Vikings, on a large battle in Stamford. I used 10 Archers, two Guards, and 1 King (obviously). *Brag brag brag* :D

An easy way to say what I am saying would be "Taunting sucks". But really, I don't like it because it is implausible that any army would take such lame taunts to heart. Also, in some cases, they taunt me till I have 0 morale. That sucks. Less battling, and more screaming "YOU PIG FILTH" at each other until the enemy (usually the weaker army) wins. So please, developers, do not put this feature into a sequel (if one will be made.

this game ROCKS!!! only problem is that there is only 3 armies and 3 types of units [4 if you count the dukes and kings] i think there should be a prequal for the romans and greeks! how bout that? + if you agree

I have to say, an educational game, with such good elements! I wish the story was better, but WOW. Great! I hope to find a sequel. 5/5.

Lol so i'm playing on hard. So i am the better equipped, well rested, and superior numbered Norman army and have knights at my disposal while Britain does not. And even with all of this, my troops start up with less moral than the Brits. Man my troops are cowards XD

if 1066 is added to risk then the factor of dice rolls will be out and strategy will be more of an importance in the game. The game will take a long time though if the objective is to conquer the world so i suggest continental campaigns and such.

I loved the game, and the concept itself, but if a second game was to be made, make it where the mini-games are optional and add like the Celtics, and more countries. Overall I give a 1000/5.

The concept of this game is awesome, it would be better though if I didn't have to have great typing skills to win though. I won't play it for that reason alone.

If you want an easy game, be Norman and vs. the Vikings on medium at Stanford bridge. Make 6 arches and 4 men at arms. I killed 6054 (5105 killed by my archers) with 508 fleeing and lost a massive 992. Just make sure they don't cross the bridge and enjoy lining them up :D

i outnumbered my enemy 10 to 1, then my king unit died and all of a sudden they all run away... wtf? this need fixing. five thousand men shouldn't run away from five hundred no matter who's dead.

True Lorika, you can flank like that but the bonus is small compared to that gained by charging. And it also exposes the unit placed behind to being charged at and outflanked. Shield walls are easily broken by two units repetitively charging one of the soldiers in it. And due to the fact that one soldier against it prevents the formation from advancing, the only option is to be torn apart, break formation or retreat (retreat is ruled out if cavalry are charging it). Also, even though it is a "shield wall", the unit charging it (even defensive noob units like those spearmen) will almost always fair better than the defenders (unless you have arthritis and can only press the spacebar two or three times lol).

Actually, you can flank. If you have infantry on both sides of an enemy unit you'll gain substantial bonuses in combat. Formations are also useful: Shield Walls are important to maintain (automatically forms after charging if your units are set up correctly), since it acts like Fortify; and Boar's Snout formations are useful for the first couple of turns (units share the lead's movement speed, I think).

well i sorta agree on what Agent Red but he game is not ruined and the cheap moves people do is sorta easy to counter (still hard though) but all in all the game is still fun and the spaming (tip if a unit is going to charge at you move your unit back if its your turn first)

Game is ruined due to the absence of flanking - and having to protect your flanks. It could have been very strategic, but instead generally depends on archers slogging it out and units trying to charge each other down, no matter what their defensive/offensive qualities are. Thus, shield walls and formations are useless, and independent troops in a line so they can repetitively charge (one charges, then the unit behind him charges while he breaks away from combat) is what the game unfortunately is about. And, due to not being able to attack from the side, and having no advantage attacking from the rear, the game does not resemble this kind of warfare in the slighest =(
