this game is the best free strategy game ever, but campaighn is short and it kind of sucks in the end but the normans are cool

Great game though i still have some issues with it: Even when there are only 50 troops left in one unit, they still have the same strength, for instance, 50 archers fire as much arrows as 500 archers and i lost 84 knights on a charge against 500 spearmen but also 84 against 120 spearmen. Also didn't like that you could only attack from 2 sides and that there's no backwards boar snout.

This is one of those rare games that occupy your mind greatly for a very long time, for every battle is a challenge and though yes, it is short, the battles are relatively long. This game... it's diamond on top of the coal pile of flash games, along with a few with, as far as I'm concerned. 5/5 stars, thank you for making this game! it's awesome!!!

Just for fun I fought with an all (but 1) archer army in a custom scenario. Worked out pretty well - killed 5k of their troops, and only lost 900. The bridge map let me line up 4 archers in each line cut most of them down before they got to my duke/infranty troop that blocked the bridge.

It's lies!! I try on the hard difficulty, it's Vikings vs. Normans. I fight off their calvary and their men-at-arms, it's about one thousand of their archers against about five hundred of my Varangian Guards and Harold Hadrada. Long story short the enemy taunts me, and everyone surrenders... :P

I agree with Pedrolafalc, I wish that we could attack from all sides, and I also think that the moral system isn't quite right. BUT, I still love the game and I give 5/5.

Waterloo seems too far down the line, by the 1800s all the weapons and armies were completely different. A closer period would be the hundred years war in the 1300-1400s, where they were still using knights and archers.

This game was essentially a tie-in to a British series, oddly enough broadcast on Channel Four. As such a sequel is unlikely, but still... Waterloo would be pretty badass.

Really great game, I enjoyed it a lot. But one of the main problems for me, regardless game length, is that you can't fire arrows to your left or your right, or attack a unit from all sides, only front or back. This ruins some strategy skills I wanted to use...

Before you guys get all angry, try to use your brain a bit more. I said a sequel, I did not specifically say 1066 version 2.0, and others have already suggested using this game system for other historical wars such as Romans, Egyptians, Persians, Alexander the Great etc. It would actually be a better idea to base the sequel on a different era, since the 1066 campaign is going to be this short no matter what, and several ppl have complained it was too short. I am only giving suggestions to try and improve an already good game system, rather than you guys who just criticize others without giving any constructive input.

My only complaint would be on the moral ssystem, I've had 6 healthy armies to one damaged enemy army, but i lost due to morale. A little moediversity in the units would not hurt either

@Synegg Do you have any respect for history? They didn't have siege weapons or phalanx formation. Have some respect for history
