I had a thousand norman knights left against 1 unit of archers with 100 men left in, and two units of knights flee after the archers taunt them 0_o

Excellent game!
Though I must add - taunts are seriously broken on the highest difficulty. As conclusion nears, I find more and more enemies who tend to stop fighting and start swearing. Then I lose.

I like the game but story mode is too short and the odds are completely in the cpu's favor (why do they react to moves real-time and why do their taunts do so much damage?) I would play this much more if the multiplayer server was still up, and I'm sure others would also.

'THINGS TO REMEMBER DURING A WAR'
1.The best defense is to stay out of range.
2.Smart bombs have bad days too.
3.You are not Tom Cruise!!

Wow! What a game. Historical references are incredible. They make the game even more interesting. Very different from all the other games out there. I liked the music and sound effects too. 5 stars for me. I want more please .... please .... sigh.

The only thing I could possibly flaw this game in is the occasional hilariously illogical fights, such as the norweigan king charging my shieldwall of vikings or killng 206 enlish spear militia for losing my last 39 vanguarian guard. Apart from these, brilliant game! 5/5

This game is the best strategy game that I've played so far, and I love it 5/5. The only problem is the lenght of the game.

Im SO impessed with this game! Love the concept and historical references! Id pay for more conquests :p Pvp? Also itd be worth it to let the gamer know WHY an attack is stronger or weaker? Overall GREAT game! |(finished it & im playing it again :p)

great game, but my enemy just taunted my own troops off the field. . . .and I can still hear them running. I think its a glitch

milkwagonb17 people actually wrote stuff down on manuscripts or in the form of pictures. There is a 200m scroll in a muesiem somewhere about the battle of hastings. Btw , just to add nice facts because the english were actually on a hill in a sheild wall formation with the huscarls behind.

If real-time strategy and real-time tactics are involved, it'll be so easy to bully infantries : )
Start with cavalries, mess around and go straight to their logistical supplies.

I love the story and the narrator and I love turn based strategy games, but I really hate 'guitar hero style' game play. Without those elements where you have to type words with a time limit or press keys at the right moment, I would easily have given this 5/5, but it has to be a 3/5 for me. If a sequel is in the making, PLEASE remove those guitar hero elements.

@malkrow21: I doubt they when in battle they also had to press up, down left or right. Who cares if they didn't shout fire?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"Fire?" What do you think "fire" meant to an ancient archer? "What, fire?! There's a fire! Where's the fire?? Quick, get a bucket of water!"
They never shouted "FIRE!" They said, "shoot", "loose", "release." They're using bows, crossbows and other spring-based weapon systems; not firearms.

What I really like is that you can experiment with army combinations and landscapes for a really long time, for instance I first tried out an army of full varanian vangaurd with 1 warrior group on the hastings battlefield, and later created an army of 5 men at arms (+king) and 5 archer groups on the stamford battleground so that I could just shoot my enemies full with holes
5/5, favorited, great game!
