Screwed up my comment...Anyway, + if you've had the bug where it looks as if they're charging and fleeing as well, and they infinitely charge off the left side of the screen. "They're coming!" … "There they…go? Wait a minute…"

I am a medieval history fanatic and this was, and is, the best medieval game online that I have had the honor of playing. The gameplay is smooth, well thought out, and quite easy. While the gameplay is easy, the strategy involved playing these, are not quite as easy. A good amount of thought goes into each round of playing. Do I send in my cavalry or do I hold my ground and fortify for this round? There are so many options to weigh where one tactic worked wonderfully in one round, just doesn't seem to cut it the next. Hands down an easy 5 out of 5 for this game! Beautifully fantastic!

Some time ago, there was an ad on kongregate that this was gonna get badges as they were looking for a designer, what has happened since then? I still wait for this awesome game, and I've completed it like seven times now lol. By the way, for people asking "will there be sequels?" sadly not likely. This is a British game specially made as a one-off for the TV series "1066" http://www.channel4.com/programmes/1066 that came on Channel 4, a british tv channel. Little flash games based on tv programmes (you know what I'm talking about) turn out this good. They must have put so much effort into it is amazing. So in short, don't get your hopes up for a sequel, this was just a special one off thing, a shame as its so great, and I hope it will get badges sometime, if Channel Four are even on here anymore to give it the Kong API. High Tea is another game made by Preloaded, the production company, and it got badges so hope is there. Thumbs up for people to see.

I got 93 morale on last campaign level.Heres how I did it.I got 3 Men at arms,the rest were archers.I made my melee go on defense(Shield Wall) while my archers slaughtered.If only they would not taunt you I might have made a 98,99,or 100 if my arrows somehow won without them reaching me.

There should be badges for this! I have an idea on some: "The Filthy Mouth": Use x (could be maybe 20, 25) taunts throughout the campain. "Whew! We finally won!": Complete the game on Hard difficulty. "Enemy sighted ahead! CHARGE!!" Successfully do x (Again, variable. maybe 10... 15?) Charges throughout the campaign. "We cannot the taunting anymore! RUN AWAY!": Make more then 2,000 of the enemy units flee using taunting. "The Slaughter!" Kill x (Maybe 10,000; 12,000?) units throughout the campaign. Like this so this may stay alive!

I like the game..but when half my army leaves because some guy said they smelled funny it lacks sense. King-"Why the hell did you desert the invation!?" Soldier-"Well, my lord, he called me a...a...a raven starver! It was so mean I just couldn't stand it!" *King face palmes*

Completely awful game. So i out number the enemy 2000 vs 400 troops. But i forgot one key thing!!!.... Saying "you onion eye'd oaf" will win the battle for the 400 troops. Really? lol? stupid game one of the worst ive played on kongregate. How can it get 4+ /5? you just spam boring sub activities over and over with 0 depth or strategy not to mention the English are Saxons in 1066. 1/5 would give 0 if i could.

This is such a great game, and I especially love how its possible to hit yourself with your own arrows, much more realistic.

This is easily my favorite game on Kong' for the history nerd part of me and art side as well. This is proof that flash games are an art.

Whoever finished this game on hard wuld know this game is a cheap bitch becuz it keeps taunting and destroying my army's morale regardless of how little men they have. Also the Viking taunts are too hard and all i ever got was good taunt. Sucks on hard but ROCKS on EASY and MEDIUM. Keep it up.

With Normans make a shield wall of Men-at-Arms, a row of archers and a row of Knights. Eliminate single enemies with Men at arms, bombard constantly with archers. Final step, charge enemy shield wall with knights + this to keep it on
