the idea is to out manuver the apponent and determine where he'll strik with archers. no doubt if you bunch the group they'll attack the larger group. so keep them spread, archers in back and the captian further. 5/5 good game!

Its freakin stupid. I had a company of all norman archers, and i ended up killing 4100 viking soldiers, with only 1200 of them running away. But my morale dropped and i lost, when i had two archer companies against one enemy

The taunt is completely overboard, I outnumbered the enemy 2000 to 500 and lost because the enemy taunted and got my morale down to 9.

I think three battles is entirely reasonable - or maybe I expected it already because there really weren't more than three battles during that time. But I think the same game engine can be used to engineer a greater game. Perhaps something similar to the Total War series - you get to upgrade your troops, maybe even unlock new formations, as you go along.
Archers are a bit overpowered.

OK.first the enemy has no mercy on you even if you suck at archery...HE WILL PWN YOU WITH ARCHERS AT THE BEGGING OF THE GAME.other then that the game is fun :D 4/5

Normans are waaaaaaaay underpowered.... archers cost 3 but can't kill more than 41 on a direct hit? Knights should be able to form the triangle and charge to maximize damage and lessen casualty.

everything moves to slow, the mini-games get boring before even begining, it is repetitive like hell, there's little to no strategic options, the battles take far too long, the diference betwen each faction are almost irrelevant,it is repetitive, and i saw no advantage at all in using the "vertical line formation" since the triangle one was able to kill more enemy troops at any situationl, it gets very repetitive, the morale sistem is a pain in the ass and completely useless to the game, and did i mention it is VERY repetitive?

taunting is bullshit, eniemy had only archers left, but every sigle turn they wouyld taunt, the result? everytime before my guys got up to them, they would run, they weren't even in the line of fire! taunting make the enemy overpowered, they don't even have to fight, they can just keep taunting and you'll lose every time
