extremely good game 5/5. @ iRevo, I don't think that would be a good idea, as the archers are kinda the long-distant things here, and buildings will make it more complicated, an I love this simplicity

I love this game but it just doesn't work for me. I can't do the battle (DDR thing) sequence because it just completely laggs out x.x

Love it; I love how realistic the strategies are, though you are missing the Tooth formation, but it's fine. Still a wonderful game with very good graphics. 5/5 +fav.

Awesome game, though very short. Also, the taunting can get a bit overpowered. Maybe you could make taunt an option only when a certain distance from the enemy? I'd love to see a sequel with more civilizations and units, bigger maps, and maybe a map builder with terrain types? Most importantly, more battles! 4/5 =D

this is a real good game, it's one of the best flash games Iv'e played in months also the BEST stradagy for this game on multi is to get all the lower class troops (men-at-arms,warriors,spear militia) (i mean spening all points on them) but dont put them in any formations keep them aprat, then make them all do taunts if your even modernitly good at this then by the time all your troops have gone there moral will be about half or close.

Finally a flash game about real war history. Good gameplay. The charge, taunt, and formations, but no vertical attacks/flanking? 4.5/5

theres really only 1 thing i dont like about this, and its the defensive formations. Wtf is this dude talking about some of you are saying, but no matter if your fortified or shield walled, if a charge comes you are usually going to lose more units then they are

D; i just had an army of a over 2600 vikings after breaking my enemy's army's main line, and killing their king unit, and then after mopping off their last units, except for three archer units in the back, i had about 2000 guys left, which at least 1700 of were king or the better warrior type units. And the ass got a couple rounds of brutal taunts as i rushed the archers, outside of their firing lanes, and my army BROKE. ALL OF THEM! GAH! i lost. D;

Its funny how the English are never used in mutliplayer. Im using them all the time. Just get 4 archers and 4 hurcals and position them very close to the front. And then fortify all the hurcals. Let the archers bomb the crap outa anyone (Xept the english archers do tend to suck)

A bit of your typical stuff - strategy with other game elements, ridiculous accents. Gameplay's fun, except for the part where the minigames aren't bonuses - they're required to get any sensible effects. It's also kinda hard to build formations, since larger ones don't exist and the game will just choose a smaller sub-formation. The campaign is just three maps - on the other hand the creators did their homework, both in history and english, a very nice break from the average flash game. Again, surprisingly fun and addictive.

oh yeah, and archer spamming sucks, I really dont know how somebody can think its useful... it only makes the other player angry or bored :D

ultimate combo: 4 kngihts, 4 footsoldiers as normans. put the 4 knights in very front and charge enemy and repeat charge until kngihts die, have footsoldiers follow in behind and when knights die, finish off weakened enemy
