This game is mostly good. The only complaint I have is the whole "taunting" command. I lost a battle because two very weakened enemy units kept taunting me even though they were seriously outnumbered. Seeing your friends die and your own death coming is far more frightening then being called a dog turd...

theres a glitch, when there is a formation of troops and the middle ones gets attacked and flees the rest will keep walking till the end of the world and beyond :s

@Burnstuff People DO run away when they are scared. Moral adds alot more tactics in game. => Epic game. I'm lovin' it! 5/5

It's fun, very limited single player though. I'd like to see more battles and units. What's the best rank you can get from a battle? King is the only thing I've got so far.

hmmm... my moral was from 97-37 when i lost 400 people? what happen to the other 4k? seriously... how did I lose when the enemy have only archers left?

brilliant idea, some good mechanics, but just as many flaws :/ i lost a battle by killing 5000 english and losing 2000 vikings? maybe i just have a problem haha

i agree PatKDay´s oppinion but i think that the story mode is too short maybe add more historical camaigns but all in all good game^^ 4/5

Nice looking, and fairly historically accurate, but there are a few flaws in the gameplay.
I found archers to be almost completely useless. They cannot inflict sufficient casualties before the enemy closes to make them worthwhile. Charges are overpowered, especially on the bridge battle where you can hold your end of the bridge and keep rotating units to charge the enemy each turn.
The morale system is annoying, so I ignored it one battle and managed to lose with 2700 troops remaining to the enemies 90. A permanent bonus to morale based on how much you outnumber the enemy would be excellent.

The battle KI fails sometimes, e.g. building formations with which they can't march over the terrain, therefore getting shot/taunted the hell out of the body.
And taunting is far too strong, while combat losses are totally laughable. All fights are basically won by taunst, which is stupid.

achieved master general rank ^^
but yea, its the basics of combat to flank someone, and i think they knew that in 1066's.... good game, even if theres still room for improvement.

the combat minigame is hard to understand, there's a big margin for error. if the arrows went red if you messed one up that would be good, rather than always being a hit.
