I love the story and the narrator and I love turn based strategy games, but I really hate 'guitar hero style' game play. Without those elements where you have to type words with a time limit or press keys at the right moment, I would easily have given this 5/5, but it has to be a 3/5 for me. If a sequel is in the making, PLEASE remove those guitar hero elements.

@malkrow21: I doubt they when in battle they also had to press up, down left or right. Who cares if they didn't shout fire?

"Fire?" What do you think "fire" meant to an ancient archer? "What, fire?! There's a fire! Where's the fire?? Quick, get a bucket of water!"
They never shouted "FIRE!" They said, "shoot", "loose", "release." They're using bows, crossbows and other spring-based weapon systems; not firearms.

What I really like is that you can experiment with army combinations and landscapes for a really long time, for instance I first tried out an army of full varanian vangaurd with 1 warrior group on the hastings battlefield, and later created an army of 5 men at arms (+king) and 5 archer groups on the stamford battleground so that I could just shoot my enemies full with holes
5/5, favorited, great game!

I loved it! Brilliant thinking and excellent tactics/points reward system. My only complaint is that it is too short.and more units will be nice.iloved.i can't wait the episode 2 if is he coming.

great game i liked how the warriors are all blacked out and the art style cut scenes are beautiful if only there was a longer campaign and more units :(

I love this game not only for its simple yet additctive attitude, but also because of its historical background and strategy approche. I would love to see many others game like this put out, with different stories and troops. As for me I give this a 9/10 which is very high according to my standard!

If you ever wanted to make a equals to this 1066, you could always do any of the Holy Catholic Crusades, the Golden Horde invasion (Mongols), The 100 year war, Battle of Tours, or even the Baron Wars. just some fun suggestions!

This game is very well done according to history. I play Crusaders and Kings II and that game really lets you know how history went down in the Medevil era. As far as I can tell the only thing phony about the game would be the accents xD
