The mysterious woods level is horribly unbalanced. I easily beat hard mode on every level up to that one, and then found it impossible to beat even on easy. Armored giants kill me every time.

Takes way too long to enter the game. A loading screen, then 2 longer-than-necessary sponsor promos, then another loading screen (wtf?), then a story video, then the title menu has an animation that takes a few seconds. Just gives a bad feeling to start the game and doesn't make me want to come back.

Good game, but too easy. Only "Frozen Peak" was really difficult. I've done all map on hard mode. A bug : so I get 15/15 on "Win all maps in easy mode" Award but It isn't check.
Some awards seems too long to get : I killed only 600 ennemies with the Monk out of 2500.

Also the quick speed should be regular game speed and then have a speed up button.
The special enemies need to have constraints. Like the ninja, their stealth should come at a loss to hp, I have yet to kill one no matter how many towers or upgrades I have purchased. Think through all of the specials and do a balancing disadvantage for every advantage.
As for the spells. the only one that seems to be effective is the tornado. Punch up the initial power or reduce the initial refresh.
Make the monk place-able! or give him students we can move around.

review pt 1
Not a bad TD game but, I agree with the other reviewers, it needs some tweeking. Mainly in the towers and enemies area. In most TD games upgraded towers are more effective than a bunch of non upgraded towers. In this game I started with a level four wind tower and was completely wiped out by wave 4 on level 4. This isn't cool I spent all my gold on one tower and got practically nothing out of it. But when I tried it again and spent all my gold on all level one towers I didn't have to touch the game until wave 7. The benefits for upgrading need to go up or the cost for upgrades needs to go way down.

The sound effects that occur when the enemy dies certainly aren't from Command & Conquer... :)
Anyhow, good game! It just needs a little polish and maybe someone to fix the spelling and grammar.

Finished the game today (didn't three star everything, but most of them).
I thought the game's a bit better than many of the comments imply, so to try and counterbalance that since I liked it: it's one of the better TD's on Kongregate. It's pretty challenging, and requires a fair amount of repetition of missions to succeed. It doesn't feel imbalanced to me, it just requires the right strategy and good timing with your spells. It's similar to the Kingdom Rush games in that regard. If you're struggling with bosses, take note of how multiple adjacent powered up air towers can basically freeze juggle bosses, leaving them stuck in place for lots of damage, and incorporate that in your strategy.

there is some bug coz of which if you click to upgrade tower and decide not to, at times, the upgrade pop ups remain through the game.. good graphics ..but would be better if the enemies have weakness .. and we get stars on achievements ..

it's doable to finish the game on 1st playthrough in hardmode, just gets difficult around lv 6-7 combining fire nova turrets with earth splash turrets does the trick, use earthquake only when enemies are @ your monk. fun game!

Good game. Balance is fine. If you can't beat the bosses on easymode first try you are simply playing badly. I'm beating hard on first try with 75%+ lives left every time.

Suggestions for skills: Rain, makes a weak thunder-bolt. Tornado, makes enemies outside of range get slowed down by 10% Meteorite, after-fire makes enemies have a burn effect for 5 seconds. Earthquake, after earthquake happens, all enemies are stunned for 3 seconds. (Press [+] if you want this to happen!)

Could be more balanced, I've played with just two elements air (reflector to push them back) and stone (3/5 bullet) for damage, sufficient to get most levels done with no loss of lives. Good game though!

As far as I'm concerned, the monk is useless. It's damage is inconsistent, on top of the fact that he doesn't scale with the level.

You don't have to do perfectly to get three stars on the hard which is nice, you can lose a bunch of lives, although I didn't know that and kept pressing retry until I got perfect. Now I got two levels left and can breath a little easier. Maybe for the next ..one more top upgrade for each tower would be nice and maybe the monk could be a little more powerful. I like the game hope there is a sequel!

Developers: this is the third time i lost a game without a reason, suddenly it's just Defeat. Could you check it out? It happens at the "Monastery on the Rock" lvl. Thanks

overall good so far. I see other comments complaining, but maybe those things are fixed now. I like the balance mostly - the first few levels are pretty easy even without upgrades; but then level 9 is darn near impossible. strangely after that, not so difficult again. but everything works - fun graphics, seed up button, different towers (what is water tower useful for though?), upgrade paths. good job.

i completed everything on hard to the mysterious woods i reset my stars but i always lose on it even when i try it on easy

fun game, but too easy. First play through, and I completed each level, on hard, first try. Tip: use all fire towers, with maybe 1 or 2 air for fun. fire towers have the best DPS, plus the best upgrades; why use any other?

The game is actually quite easy. Here's my strategy: I use stone, wind and water towers only. Build a stone tower at every entry, so that it covers only the beggining of the path. Build one stone tower near the exit. Cover the rest of the map with wind towers and water towers. Upgrade a stone tower near the beggining first (one where most enemies have to cross). Upgrade it to lvl 4 - multiple missiles tree. Upgrade the exit stone tower the same way. Upgrade a wind tower near the exit to lvl 4 - push. Upgrade a water tower near the exit to lvl 4 - freeze group. Upgrade the two stone towers to lvl 5 (5 missiles). Max out the rest. Tip - 2 maxed wind towers (push) and 1 maxed water tower (freeze) stop a single enemy completely. Use that against the strongest enemies to your advantage. Don't hesitate to use spells, they are very usefull, especially upgraded. My skills upgrade order: stone, wind, monk, water, earthquake, meteor, tornado, rain, fire.

Just to show that the balance is pretty off: final wave in hard mode with Earth towers only (flawless victory) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nB0oBPXUtCE

By the way, one original feature of this game is that you still get full stars even if you lose lives, even if you finish the stage with just one life left.. meaning you don't have to hit restard when one monster frustratingly gets through.
