Overall good update. The multiplier overview is nice and lowering the cost multiplier will create a better pace which until now was rather sluggish. Extra point for so quickly for changing the buying multiple units to showing total cost even if it's more than you can afford.
Can't help feeling that this game is missing something though. While it IS a rather good incremental, there is really no original mechanic to differentiate it from the swarm of others out there. It's good to hear that you are planning on overhauling the conquering mechanics which I hope will create some deeper gameplay.

Kinda strange logic : (dev threat) Bad rating - no more development. How about just delivering great stuff and getting the reward for it ?
It wasn't a threat. If our game loses playercount due to the rating being low, we can no longer afford to support it and can mark Idle Conquest as a learning experience and will need to move on to a new project that will hopefully have better success. We do this stuff in our free time so how we use this time is important. Currently the playercount is fine, I left in update stating that I will be taking a break and watching things, it isn't unreasonable to ask for support so that we can continue supporting it. If things are still going strong in, say, a week from now there's no reason to NOT continue supporting the game. Anywho I'm off to bed and relaxing for awhile. Testing the waters. Our rating is pretty low so once we stop being a 'hot new game' Kongregate will boot us to like page 10 of the game list and our plays will stagnate. So we really want to see if this thing improves otherwise we will not be able to expand to it anymore since I do this in my free time while working 50 hours a week at some demotivating job and with such limited time I'd need some sort of a gain or a sign from people that they REALLY like the game for me to want to continue it, since I'm the programmer, nothing happens without me lol. So far our complaint/compliment ration is like 10000000:1 so lol. ~Taiga

I'm on a mac so saving to clipboard doesn't do much since macs don't have clipboard... please make save files import to somewhere like documents or maybe let us copy and paste our file into a word document we create?

@Chimaker ...i agree with the "Buy X" should show the full cost and not only what you can afford ...because if you cant afford all of them then its obvious that you are going to spend almost all your money ...there is no need to show that ...its misleading people to think that that can buy x100 for really cheap amounts ...i prefer the way its done in Adventure Capitalist

Hey, me again. I'm having a visual error on the "cost" part of the UI. I've been buying by 10 and after so many purchases, the cost says it goes down, while it actually doesn't. Clicking on x10 again (sometimes requires me to click it more than once) will show how much it actually costs.
Not sure why this happens, but I doubt it's intended.
I specifically programmed this in a way so that if it's going to break, it will break immediately instead of break random sometimes. So I know for an absolute fact this cannot happen. One thing I really regret doing with this game is add decimal numbers to big numbers as well as make everything 'center justified'. The numbers shift and bounce around a little as you are buying so it looks, at times, as if your costs were getting smaller but they actually are not. ~Taiga

since the new update the cost for multiple pruchase is off. for example it says buy 10 for 2mil however only enough to buy 6 when hit.

*Update hits* *Suddenly 100 mil buys 50 cathedrals instead of 5* One comment on the "Buy X" toggles: The cost is for how many you can afford, rather than what is actually toggled, giving the misleading impression that you can afford all of them. I'm not sure what the best way to fix this would be (doing it this way DOES help by telling you how much you will spend when you click...), but off the top of my head, perhaps you could put the full cost of what's toggled on the button, and the actual cost/number being built since you're short on money... (I'm a bit OCD about my building, and like even numbers, otherwise, I don't suppose this is as much of an issue...) Just an observation.
I know what you're saying, however I also feel it's fine the way it is. The tooltip pops up when you mouse over to buy and it shows the total built. When you click you can watch the total built change in real time. I feel anymore time spent on little things like this instead of working towards a major content update such as things to do with conquered countries would not be time well spent. Even if something feels 'small' it can turn into a big process surprisingly.

Import/Export is good but it shouldnt replace the old force save button because its easier for those who dont have any problem with Unity. Also, the buy 10, 50, 100 are supposed to show the price of buying the whole stack? Because i get random numbers (ie: 1 market is 9m, 10 market says its 108m, 50 market says 201m, 100 market says 201m, if i click 10, 50, 100, 10, 50, 100, 10, 50, 100 then the 100 market rise to 218mm) and even if i have the amount of money that it shows its needed when i click i usually get less than half (probably not because the button is broken but becuse it shows a wrong price)

For those wondering about the math behind the "buy1,10,50,100" options. It shows the correct prices, but the price won't go past your current total. So if you have enough money to buy 10 of something, it will show the correct price. If you don't have enough to buy 10, the price will only show up to how many you can buy max with your current money.
Saved data shouldn't be wiped, at least I ran tests on 11 people including myself and nobody had any wiped data. Pm me and tell me what you had before the wipe and I'll send you a binary export for you to import and get your stuff back.

Looking at the multiplier totals... your multipliers from achievements really do next to nothing compared to your multiplier from dark knights, from the looks of it. I really feel like the two different types of multipliers should be stack with each other multiplicatively rather than additively.

Not being harsh, but how was this update even tested? You said that your team was hashing out bugs, did you not come across these problems? They are quite substantial, I don't know how your team could have missed them.

New update has problems. For one, the math is way off on a lot of things. The alter dark knight gain is broken as well. One minute it said I had + 6,000 dark knights per tick, after refresh it says 1,000.

Dark knight achievement seems off after the update. i have 449 altars but i am only getting 898 per cycle. I may be wrong but i thought it should be 2245. J

over 70k troops and 30k dark knights, and my power is only ... 157.53 ... first country to conquer on the map: 50k troops and 270 power... really?
Yep that's correct. Go check the new Show Multiplier in the options screen to see your multipliers including your current army strength. This isn't a "wait 2 days, get 50k dark knights and beat all the content in an hour" kind of idle. Get more dark knights :P
After you press buy 10/50/100 you need to actually click on the thing to buy it. It's just a multiplier to allow you to buy more than one at a time. ~Taiga

PM me if you lost your conquered countries. Also the buy 50 and 100 show the correct amounts. They show you ONLY the amount you can afford. I have no plans in the future to make it show you how many you'll actually be buying. I need to use my time on real content instead of nitpicky additions.

so if the default of astrila is 25k and im getting 28k with 1.5million dark knights that makes tributes still useless xD. I hope the overhaul to conquering makes some good changes to that. If not then all that part of the game is like if it wasn't there.

Awesome, i like the new update.
Conquering is now much less annoying to do and i don't lose 10 times more troops even though i'm 10 times stronger.
I think though that we gain gold a bit too fast now.

when selecting buy 1/ 10/ 50/ 100 etc. the prices of the various items actually increase /decrease every time you click them getting more expensive every time you click on the buy selector (not actually purchasing anything). went from around 1mil/ 100 to over 3m/ 100 with no purchases made. this is pretty bad
It shows you how much it's going to cost to buy 1 / 10 / 50 / 100. Of course the cost is going to be higher. This is pretty good. Now you can see how much you're going to spend. However it will only show you the maximum amount you can buy's cost.

"- Dark Knights now affect tribute gains" Are you sure this is working? i have 1.5million dark knights and im getting 28k gold on astrila and 42k on cuoowana thats not an increase at all.
It's working. Astrila's default is 25k. I would rather rework the benefit you get from conquering countries than continuing to add on to a bad system. My time is limited.

suggestion: currently, if you do not have enough money to complete a bulk purchase (x50, x100, etc), the "cost" of the item you're trying to purchase will only list the amount that it will spend, without telling you how many you're actually able to purchase. my suggestion is that in the case of being unable to buy fully in bulk, to also list how many you're actually able to get beforehand

Oh jeez, okay I looked back up and it resets the altars back to "0" with the price multiplier resetting each time it completes but if you buy one it puts it back to the proper number, this could be a problem for the dev.

For the people that seemingly lost their altars just buy one, it will update the number with how many it should be. (Un)fortunately (depending on your point of view) it also resets the price multiplier from the beginning it seems like.

Is there anyway to show the amount of time each action takes? Im just wondering how long it takes for each gold/soldiers/dark knights ticks are.
I am going to be creating that when I make the kingdom overview screen. For now, you guys are given a very poorly made multiplier list to tie you over :P ~Taiga

Brutal, I lost 225,000+ troops to destroy the 50,000 that were in the on the island next to me. The others are across the ocean and have much larger oceans. Gonna have to make sure to have about 5x whatever they have to win.

I think there was a bug with my altars: gains and costs were reseted, and when bought one it started from +840 black knights and about 150K$.

New UPDATE is LIVE! Check out the news for changes! Lots of stuff you guys have been asking for got added this time around. But there is still lots to go. Expect our next update to include some actual honest to goodness new content! If our player interest holds steady and rating goes up some, the skys the limit! Seriously though guys. The rating is what determines the true potential of this game! If you can find it within you to give us a 4 or 5, it really helps keep us motivated to continue working on this game, as opposed to starting a different one! So rate! Comment, Enjoy!

from 10k dark knights to 348k dark knights is a big help.
to any new player wait till about 100k dark knights before you reset don't do what i did and do it at 10k you'll thank me later.
