How much do the dark knights boost production? I haven't restarted the game yet, but it's gotten really slow now (500-600 of most buildings up to gold mine), with not much gain in a day. So is it better to restart now or keep going? And will the dark knights stay for good (if I restart again, will I only keep the dark knights produced in that run, or will it be cumulative?)

@RyanRiverside: The idea started with "lets cap the max amount of soldiers to reduce the number of your soldiers that stay in the invaded country so you can have more avaiable to conquer another country" but now its kinda pointless since we have too many soldiers anyway. I never let the game runing for more than 2 minutes which means conquering is useless for me (since it doesnt work offline until next update). After the next update if even without cathedral soldiers i still have too many then i would join to your suggestion to unleash my whole army into 1 country for a faster battle.

@Taiga: Awesome! It's just frustrating to have 1000x the Army Power of an enemy, and then sit there for five minutes waiting for the battle to play out. Kudos and 5* for being attentive and responsive! :-)

I love the game, but I wonder why you've chosen to arbitrarily cap the number of troops who can commit to each battle. I feel like Queen Catherine would share my sentiment of throwing everything you can at a battle, instead of what appears to be roughly 180% of whatever the enemy brings. If I could bring my whole army to each battle, they'd be over much more quickly. I'd accept higher troop losses for the ability to battle more often.
I don't actually think it would be hard to implement this I will see what I can do with it and get something like this out a few days to a week after the big update goes live. ~Taiga

currently trying to win w/out any resets. Currently lvl 7 farm achievement, lvl 4 barracks, lvl 6 marketplace, lvl 4 arena, lvl 5 goldmine, lvl 3 castle, and lvl 4 cathedral as far as achievements. Conquest wise, my next target is Zanonia. Can't say I remember when I started this idlefest though
Hmm... mathematically... without any dark knights you would need 750,000,000,000 troops to conquer gray isles. 750 billion lol. To overexaggerate things, assume you are gaining a total of 500,000 troops per second, 1,500,000 seconds to gain that many troops, 25,000 minutes, 416 hours = 17.36 days leaving it idling nonstop with a troop gain of 500,000 per second (which is an extreme exaggeration). The Kingdom Overview screen should be out soon and that will allow everyone to pinpoint the near exact time it will take to do anything so you will know when a reset is necessary :3 ~Taiga

I'd like to see all of the country names on the map change to Touria once conquered, while the key on the right keeps the original name. I don't think Catherine would approve of the blatant usurpation of power in keeping their names!
I agree with this idea but our artist built the names into the map and it's no longer editable >_> I can't change names that aren't separate text objects unfortunately. I will likely see what can be done later on though because I think it should all read Touria too. Or at least remove the old names, keep the red and, after you conquer a continent, it will write big letters Continent of Touria or what not. Trust me, I'm looking for new ways to make the conquering feel more 'epic' without actually creating a battle scene which I feel would be a bad idea. ~Taiga
Because our rating is 3.78 instead of 4.0+. We decided to use a new version of Unity that has random stability issues for people so people opened the game and, instead of installing Unity web player and updating things they hit 1 star and moved on. The people who gave the game a try come back every day it would seem, but the rating really REALLY hurt us. We tried to encourage people to 5 star but it created a backlash for us being the 'dev asking for a high rating' lol. But even so, I will continue working on it until the promises I made are kept. If the game continues to do really well, I will take care of the game like my own child, otherwise if the plays diminish we will need to start production on a new game since I have no idea how to get the game more plays if it's not on the 'hot' list anymore >_> ~Taiga

@Rickey: Hell, no! DK increase too fast in my opition. Why would you even want it to be faster? Lets say in 1 day you get 100k DK. Then you reset and on 2nd day you get 110DK (+100DK you had from previous day) then you reset and on 3rd day you get 120DK, etc. In 1 week you should have 1m DK that means x2 multiplier (equal +100% gains). With 2x money you buy 2x altars so now you get 200k on next day, then 220, etc. End of 2nd week you have 3m DK. Which is already enough to conquer every country.

the thing with achievements is that getting the 900 ones its actually pretty hard just to get no reward. Just got the 900 farms and feels underwelming xD.
When the update is out, the 900 farms achievement is worth a grand total of 675 multiplier from achievement instead of a grand total of 9. I hope that will make it more worth it. ~Taiga

The problem with Dark Knights is that with a lot of them, they make all other multiplier additions so small they barely affect anything. If the DK bonus was multiplicative rather than additive, this would be solved.
Nah making them multiplicative is a recipe for disaster. I don't feel everything should 'stay' useful forever. I mean once you've been playing for a month and have like 10 million or so dark knights, why should 5 achievement levels still need to matter? Those 5 achievement levels still helped you get those dark knights up anyways and that's what I feel is important here. Achievements got a buff next update though. ~Taiga

Great idle game. I'd suggest some things, but seems like its all been covered or taken care of in the next update. Keep up the good work :)

I think it should be more challenging and some other con tries attack you ( maybe just near ones) ----- I might have just not gotten that far yet :\
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Really needs some sort of time measure imo. All you get is how much is produced, not how fast, so it makes it hard to compare different buildings.
Wittiness keeps this lonely programmer sane :3 Thanks for sticking with our game for this long NifMaster! Don't think I don't notice the long-term players! <3 Taiga

There needs to be a troop power multiplier upgrade somewhere, unless I just haven't found it/haven't unlocked it yet.

Hey coderiftstudios,
your game is really nice, but in my Opinion there are too less ways to earn money. The price for some more farms, marcets, etc is too high for the income it gives to you. a few hundret million for 1-2k more gold per cycle is really heavy and for one more level you need hours. Thats really hard ;)
Yes, it has the 'addiction bug' and it's contagious. Once you play it, you can't stop for some really weird reason. Mind control virus or I dunno. ~Taiga

Maybe add revolts that only happen if you do not have enough armies? If a revolt succeeds then you lose all profits from that country and they built their army up while you idle. When next you open the page up the rebels attempt to liberate other countries thus reducing your profits further. This would give an incentive for people to be more cautious when attacking other nations and be more realistic. Maybe even a multiplier where if you have enough armies to prevent revolt but not more then what you needed to conquer that country you get less profits and troops.
Numbers are correct, we just used a different method than every other idle game, because we are not every other idle game =P. Also fairly sure there are no glitches left unless you are talking about unity glitches, which we have little control over. Next update will include the Kingdom Overview which more or less lays out all the math for the world to see. If anyone still has problems, I can make a tutorial on how to enter numbers into a calculator =). Thanks for playing!

I really don't get the neccessarity of army power currently, since it's directly tied to your troops and dark knights and besides that i only need to look at the gold cost for the war, so there really is a balancing issue... Why not change the army power to some sort of ressource, like weapons/armor or research, which then gives a multiplier to your troops, resulting in total army strength, which then is needed to attack countries?
And about the gold cost, how about removing the gold cost for the battles and make it optional, then the more money you spend, the better your army will fight, the less time it will consume and the less troops you loose? Just an idea ;) (but seriously something must be done, it's missed potential the way it's implemented currently)
This will be changing as soon as the new update is live. We have changed conquest to only require army power and gold. as requiring both troops and army power was a little redundant. Now you have to have the troops to give you the army power. Hopefully this will make conquest more clear and straight forward. Look forward to the next update soon(tm). It's is more or less done already, we are just doing final testing to minimize the chance that we missed something. =)

I really want to pay this game and enjoy it, but it stopped giving me offline gains. I am thinking "Ok, everything is set up nicely, when I come back I should have a nice hefty sum of money and dark knights", but what happens when I come back? Nothing. The game resumes exactly where I closed it and with the costs of everything going up substantially, it makes it virtually impossible to actually play and get anywhere. Of course unless I want to leave it up and running, which I don't plan on doing. I do play more then one iddler, and this is the only one that this problem occurs. Other unity ones are fine, every flash one I played works great.
When you dont get offline gains, look on the options panel and tell me what version number shows on the top above the option buttons. Thats a code we can use to diagnose network related problems. Sorry for the issue.

I would love to know the time that it takes for everything to complete. You give us the gold per completion, but you don't tell us how much per building, nor how long that completion takes. 5/5 since you are updating constantly. Good luck!

lol, "cuz beta testing is the NEW alpha testing". To say it with Metallica: "Sad but true". Looking forward to the new version, makes this great game even better. :)

I think it'd be fun if, after the Grey Isles, you could visit other continents/archipelagos. Eventually, you'd find a portal to the underworld/heaven, and you'd conquer both. I can picture Cathy sitting on a throne made out of Divine Gems, with her staff decorated with the Devil's Skull.

thank you to the dev for advice on unity issues but after deleting and reinstalling 2-3 times clearing my cache and looking up on Google about the error message still does not work i have deleted unity and still getting the message hope it all goes well for you anyway
I assume you are downloading this: http://unity3d.com/webplayer right? Are you able to play any Unity games at all? It does require a video card with at least basic 3d support. ~Taiga

Ok, I haven't been able to find out anywhere else, so I'll paint myself as stupid and ask here- Why do all idle games seem to do local saves? Why not online saves to save the hassle of import/exporting whenever you wish to go on another computer?

I conquered the world with only 2.3m dark knights; took quite a while, but done. However, I'm not remotely close to being able to afford the 4th tier of upgrades...
People have managed to fix the Unity issues by clearing their browser caches, cookies and uninstalling and reinstalling the Unity player. It MIGHT have something to do with the older version of the player affecting the newer version so a 100% clean install should refresh it *hoping* ~Taiga

Fun game, although it definitely feels like gold production is the main limiting factor: even though I only have 1.5 million Dark Knights after 2 resets, I already have more than enough troops (4.27 billion) and just enough power (just got 336 million a few minutes ago) to take out the Grey Isles, but it takes me at least 12 hours (maybe more: haven't paid too much attention to my times) to make 100 billion gold, which means I have to wait more than a day just for a chance to attack it.
Next update is coming soon and this includes a very easy to read and clean looking statistics screen for everything in the game including your new multipliers from dark knights after reset BEFORE you reset :3 I am hoping this will allow people to plan and calculate the math of the game with great ease! It actually takes only a week or a little less to get 1 million dark knights before your first reset, thing with this game is that dark knights become faster to get the more you have due to the fact you can afford to buy more altars so it is a balancing process. Gold will be a little easier with the next update as I've changed Cathedral, but you will need to buy troop structures now. Thank you for playing! <3 Taiga
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Pretty much useless to purchase troop-building structures until you reset for the first few times, since it's a hard enough grind to get your Dark Knight tally up to a reasonable point on its own. Or, at least, that's my experience so far. I have no idea how I'm going to get to 100,000 before my first reset as it is.
