army power of them 3,100 and 550k troops. i had any army power over 160k, with 30 million troops, yet it took about 5 mins for me to beat them and lost over 2.5 million troops.....right
While we plan to make dark knights affect how long a battle will take to finish, 5 minutes is a very short time already lol. There are many factors that go into deciding your losses for a 'real' battle, as well as how long a 'real' battle would take. We simplified all of these factors into our game design decision, sorry you dislike having to wait 5 minutes for a battle to finish but, even with my changes to let dark knights help reduce troops lost and how long the battles take, it will never be less than 5 minutes since I personally feel this is more than reasonable. I will be completely changing how the entire conquest part of the game works in upcoming content so please look forward to that. We didn't anticipate the game to get so big this quickly otherwise we wouldn't have launched it yet lol, hope you can have some patience I haven't slept in days >_> ~Taiga

I'd like to see an achievement tracker, letting you see the amount of farms, markets..etc, until you reach the next achievement. I'm sure there are more important things to worry about first. It just happened to be one of the first things i checked but this is already quite a nice game, good job devs!
Thanks, Glad you like it! Each achievement is simply 100 more than the last. So you can easily track your progress by looking at how many buildings you have purchased. If it says 350. that means there's 50 to go until the next achievement!

i know you mentioned about the hack score boards of dark knights when you fix the patch to exploit the game will those usernames get banned from leaderboardbecause i find it unfair i only have like 225000 dk's and people got like 1.8 bil clearly modded because i know if they leader boards were without modder's it wouldnt make me seem like i am barley progressing in the game
Once we find a fix, score board reporting variables will be completely changed and measures will be taken to detect altered scores and prevent hacked data from submitting to the API. Sorry for the frustration!

If you have 1500x the troops that the country you're attacking does, you should be able to defeat them at a faster speed than if the army sizes were equal. Just saying.

I just fought a war lost 2 million troops and they lost a grand total of... 550 thousand freakn troops. How about the bigger your army the faster they die.

Hmmm now theres really no reason to build an army or attack other countries before you can earn enough gold and troops to conquer the last one in relative short time. Maybe if you could add one time per reset bonus of some number of Dark Knight for each defeated country (it can be even 1000 for first 2000 for second etc its not much im getting a lot more from altar each reset)

How about the game progressing while the browser is closed? Many other idles are doing this now. Would be a great feature to have here.
It does progress while offline! Please make sure you have an active internet connection during the first 4 seconds or so of the game and you will get your offline gains!

You know, i am sick of seeing these people on the high score lists with clearly fake scores, now some of these people have a high rank, surely we can just ban these accounts? apparently a level 25 guy has 1.7 billion dark knights :/
there was an exploit in the offline gain system that we patched out. However some are using third party cheats and directly manipulating their values. We are working out a way to deal with this at the moment. API submit data will be changed once we successfully eliminate the cheats to show a more accurate display of where everyone is at. If anyone wants to know why we don't have your suggestions implemented yet. look at those scores and see what we've been trying to silently patch out the past few days =(.
Adjusting this to force save to disk every 5 minutes. It auto saves every 10 seconds, but if unity crashes, the save data doesn't get saved to disk. At 5 minutes their is still the possibility of data loss, but it should be far smaller, and should not cause any lag. Sorry for the problem!

@Ulthrax: I ascended first time at 200k DK, haven't had a problem, just ascend for more each time. And Coderift, I think what sheenpow was saying is that it autosaves every ~5 minutes, or at least it used to, so now before I refresh I always save manually.

sissyfuzz if you think about the income from countries it's actually pretty balanced, because if you wait long enough, the gold you spent to get that country will be returned to you over time, so it's pretty fair. though adding unique buildings to each country would be a cool attribute to conquering countries, each one having it's own individual trait.

What happened? Autosave fires every 10 seconds already, and we are forcing the save to write to disk every 30 minutes, and at game close. We can look at setting the force write to every 5 minutes or so, should not cause an issue! What exactly happened? Did you lose data?

Does this game have a slow start but then gets better as you accumulate more DK's? Every time I restart, I feel like its such a struggle to get back to where I was. I've restarted once for 15k DK's and a second time for 19k additional. It has been a few days since I started playing.
We are examining balance atm, as well as an unusual issue with a few buildings not applying achievements and dark knight boost at certain levels for some reason. Should have a patch out for that tonight or sometime tomorrow. Once its stable and not bugging anymore. Then we will be adding in more economy buildings as well as a full featured stats panel with rates, how much boost you get from various things, etc. Thanks for playing!

Instead of fixed tribute maybe it would be better if a conquered country gave either tribute based on a certain structure, bonus or cheaper structure (this way you can make a farm country make farms cheaper (because you have more land) or give tribute based on the number of farms)
We actually have a plan to essentially let you build economy structures on each country and receive "export" bonus. instead of the current tribute system!

income from conquered countries is still utterly pointless. costs are insane, profits a laugh... either rebalance or RATHER consider adding successful conquests as multipliers for next rebirth

regarding the idea of recruiting trpops just to sacrifice-kill them on the altar... thats a bit too sinister and evil just from a storyline point of view
maybe you can have them "march through the otherworld portal" instead or something like it.
Our internal discussions have turned away from that direction. Instead troops will be the 'currency' used to invest in captured countries. Thanks for the suggestion!

Troops are pretty meaningless in the light of never having enough gold. I suggest at least removing the gold requirement from attacking another country.
More Economy and troop buildings coming soon, as well as an adjustment to cost scaling so that its easier to buy more of them! Thanks for the suggestion!

At the successful conclusion of battle, I'd love to see a resource bonus, eg: some gold and some buildings. It would be far more useful than the constant trickle of gold and troops currently.

How to achievement work?
I just got the 400 market achievement and i my earning only increased by a few hours.
Since i had 77k earning, shouldn't i have got something like 38.5K extra after the achievement?
There is currently a bug with the market and goldmine achievements where they don't apply as expected. We traced it and found an underlying problem that we are fixing ATM. A patch for it should be out this evening or tomorrow at the latest. You will not lose any achievements, they will simply start applying correctly! Sorry for the trouble!

I find the interface awfully clunky. Especially having to scroll all the time is annoying.
Why use so much screen space for a princess image?
Please separate Gold and Troop buildings in some way.
A badge on the upgrades menu-item to indicate the number of upgrades available would also be nice.
Also, you need to sort out your tool-tips. The layout makes it difficult to find information.
Regarding Mrakolov's idea:
Unique buildings per country only make sense if you have a choice in which country to conquer, in order to choose benefits. THAT would be interesting.

Simple way to rule the world 1) wait til turia attack any other country (its stupid general will send all his troops and the ones that survive will stay in the conquered country so its main land is defendless) 2) take over turia main land almost without fight and take over its financial and military potenetial 3) conquer the world (do not make same mistake as turias general)
Good point. A standing army should remain in the homeland for protection. We are planning to include a minigame in battles, Most likely start the battle with exact troops needed, then call in reinforcements based on the outcome of the minigame. Thanks for playing!

I find myself resetting out of boredom than anything else.
I like the idea of a longer idle game, but at the way gold multipliers add while the cost to buy buildings is exponential... Not to mention Map/Conquest has extremely low rewards that aren't even affected by Dark Knights...
506,000 dark knights here and the game is still extremely slow.

Hears a thought I see you have an map the says the "Known world of Ederov" well what about the Unknown part? What about if you made it that if you conquered all of Ederov there is a demonic Underworld restart option that changes that maps and carries over some of your stats and bonuses for previous games and provides a greater challenge.
That's an idea. Current plan is to have an Exploration achievement after the last country is conquered which zooms the map out to reveal a 10x larger world with 3-4x as many nations to capture. Maybe have it go both ways depending on how many dark knights you have at the final country. I'll keep the underworld in mind!

This game could use an update that gives the conquest more excitement. Make the battle actually interactive where you can use strategy to win. Or at least a little animation of battle, rather than just numbers and health bars.
Working on this. The battle will probably remain the same for the time being. As all these changes are a big job! We want to make the conquered country gameplay more interesting first. Then perhaps add some form of minigame to the battles that will speed them up, (or slow them down if you suck at it =P). Thanks for playing!

Also, this game stores your save file in unity player prefs file. if you want to back it up it'll be in USERS/UserName/APPDATA/Roaming/Unity/WebPlayerPrefs/chat_2ekongregate_2ecom/prefgamez-0022-2379-live-version_5f2_2e14_5f_5ffinal_5f_2eunity3d. Just copy and paste that. Or stick it on a thumb drive and drag/drop it in the kongregate folder of your laptop etc.

The girl's shoe's really annoy me. It's something to do with the fact that they look like the awful witch-style shoes my mother would buy from the the cheapo shoe store when I was a child, and I would be embarrassed to be seen with her in public. Anyways if i was royal I wouldn't be caught dead wearing something so hideous.
