Considering battles, thinking that maybe they could go a little faster, when we have much bigger army then our enemy? I mean, for example, demands for fighting Uzira is 4M army, and i had 90M, maybe that should affect the speed of conquering? Considering how my army production gets affected by war)
We're making dark knights influence how fast the battles can go. Also do people know that battles continue to play while you are offline? Offline mode works for battles so you can just come back later. Our top complaint is that battles aren't instant but we don't want them to be instant unless you got a lot of dark knights. More troops would mean battles should go slower, remember the battles = conquering a country and more troops = more 'movement' and 'management'. You can move around 5 people a lot faster than you can move around 90 million. So the solution is dark knights controlling speed and losses to help resets.
Oddly enough, I'm really good at writing very strategic, believable and serious characters. I just thought people would enjoy a more comical character who is difficult to take seriously. Give people some laughs and what not while they log on for their daily idle dose. Save the serious stuff for an RPG story or something ;) <3 Taiga
Please PM CodeRiftStudios regarding the offline mode not giving you anything. We are gathering information from as many people as possible who are having these issues so that we can determine what is going wrong. We will keep fixing up, polishing and adding to the game so long as lots of people keep playing it! So we want to make sure bugs are fixed! <3 Taiga

This game is seriously resource heavy -_-
Sometimes i play with 3-4 idle game in my background and i can still browse internet and do other things without problem, but if i have this game open int he background, i started getting huge slowdown in my browser it make other game lag...
Seriously do something about that.
It shows me the same resources usage as any other unity type game on my PC. It may be something related to webplayer not playing nicely with some other application on your computer, in which case there's little we can do. The only optimizations we have left are graphics related and would have no effect on lag while not actually looking at the game. PM me with some details about your system configuration and I'll see if it looks similar to any of the other reports we've gotten.

I wish there were a '$/second' type deal, maybe in the options area?
The reason being, I'd like to know how much time (let's say) it takes to get to 50mil.
Hopefully have our Kingdom Overview screen up in a couple weeks or so (we gotta fix up bugs and what not first). This will include $/second and all kinds of other details to ease people's minds regarding how math is working in this game. ~Taiga

Well, Troops are only used to conquer countries, and this involves a very BIG investment there. however, the benefit is just a laugh. after conquered 2 countries , i get an average of around 11 troops and 6000 gold per second extra income there, which is not more than 0.1% of my natural income. however the enlisting buildings occupied like 20~30% of my investment.....
It's been commented 100 times already lol. The next update will be allowing dark knights to influence the gains from conquered countries. However, we don't feel the reward for conquering countries is good at all so if our game keeps growing we will begin production on a completely reworked system for country gains such as allowing you to invest in countries to build farms and what not in them to make them profitable. As well as other perks to having them. We can't work on that right now because we have bugs to fix. But it'll come so long as our game doesn't stop growing. We are working as fast as possible! ~Taiga

Constructive criticism aside, it's a nice game, and you seem to be going in the right direction with the updates and tweaks, so thanks for a real idle game.
PS: If you're planning on doing some graphic changes, please take fix the real problems first like balancing and tweaking for people like me who want to play the game, not stare at it.

We have a programmer and story writer (me) (Not that there's any stories here but I wrote and designed Catherine's concept as well as majority of game design) , an artist, Dave, and a musician, Mishael. I'm the only one who can fix half these problems people are talking about so if we have an update that has art changes or new music, it's because the artist and musician finished their job first. Working code for a game like this is the most time consuming part. I spent all weekend 17 hours each day working on this SMALL update and it's just now hitting testing lol. ~Taiga

I'm sorry you're having troubles with the update, but I'm sure you'll deliver, as you've done before. But here are some things that I can't understand about the game: Dark Knights don't seem to affect the gains from conquered countries and the gold gain from them is insignificant compared to what we have to pay to invade; I have 180mil troops, so 153+ times what I need to attack Teiusia but for some reason it still takes me a long time to do it, what are my troops doing? And why do you keep replying to stuff like this with what appears to be jokes? There's no way we can "Throw the peasants out front in rags to shield the good troops. etc.", it seems you are mocking us instead of giving us an answer; there's no reason to have achievements that don't do anything, it's already confusing enough the way you write their descritpions, try keeping it simple, efficient.
Simple, we're people with a sense of humor. I work 50 hours a week at a really crappy job and do this in my free time. If I didn't have my humor I'd be going crazy right now. Sorry you feel mocked. Next update is allowing dark knights to help you conquer countries faster though you still can't expect to see instant results. I'm also making it so all your troops don't go fight a country with you gotta leave some behind to defend other countries. We don't feel that conquering a country in a war should be instant no matter how many troops you have. But my goal is to make resetting less 'punishing' so that is why I'm allowing dark knights to speed up battles. However the speed of the battle still depends on enemy troops and dark knight total. The goal is to make resetting more rewarding. ~Taiga

(cant locate edit button, so last message xD ) so unless the upgrade is only +2 to farm, (100 farms = 200 gold extra), and not x2 gold (double the amount of gold getting from it). then its well expensive for only a tiny bit extra gold.

Might be a bug, but tested it out on two runs. the upgrade "animal husbandry" for farm, doesnt give any extra gold. That or minimal amount of gold. had 10k on farm, before usign it. and 10k after.

I would like a quality button. On my computer playing this games lags everything. So a lower quality button would be nice.
Unfortunately this is not possible, as we have already reduced frame rate to 30 across the board. any lower and you would see a slide show! We have a few optimizations left to make, but most of the remaining lag is due to Unity's new GUI system which i hope they are optimizing as they get closer to official release. Sorry for the problems!

Just wanted to say thanks to the devs. For caring about the quality of the game, instead of just putting it out. Also for being this dedicated in actually listning to the players, and replying. Keep up the good work, and i cant wait to see what you are planning next! :)

you should ass more of a graphic animation like make the queen more 3D and like show the battle when you attack an island
I am actually considering making a model of Catherine, since I am a far better 3d modeler than i am a 2d artist! Believe it or not, all the background art in the game was actually rendered in blender 3D, with the freestyle edge rendering engine, then painted under as if it was actual hand drawn line art! Doing the same thing with Catherine will free me up to use my animation skillz =). Thanks for playing!

To the devs. Just read through your last update delay. I just wanted to say thanks. I've seen some people appear to stress themselves out with getting updates out on this site. It looks like you are more concerned with the quality of the game, and looking ahead to your content additions. So Thanks. I appreciate quality.

.01% per dark knight. Is that correct in that 100 dark knights = 0.1%, 1000 dark knights = 1.0%, and 10,000 dark knights = 1% resource gain? Or is the decimal a typo and it's really meant to say that 100 dark knights are a 1.0% gain?

Since theres usually some space on the top right, you can put the current level of the building there instead of having to hover over it to see the level that it is currently at. Just a small idea :)

offline mode is not working for me kind of disappointing coming back online after 8 hours to have something you can get in 10 mins
If you gained anything from offline time, it should be accurate now. There are only 2 possibilities. 1. Internet connection disabled or lost after loading the game = no offline gains, and 2. offline gains are calculated, and show you a pop up. If case 1, when you reconnect your internet you will receive the proper gains. please look at the top of the options panel and see if it says version 1.0a. if so, everything is working as it should be!

Why do I lose so many troops while attacking other countries? I lost troops equal to about 5x the amount of that country's army size even though my power was about 150x greater and the size of my army 50x greater

I mean, everyone love tsunderes. So play with it. Make her more interactive, create a relationship jauge with her and give us flavor ! You're doing great right now, keep pushing in that direction ;)

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We are currently hard at work addressing a few of your concerns, by making the buildings less expensive. Its tough because of working around save data, test test test! Combat changes and more stuff for troops to be used for is a future goal. The only restriction when I have to attack other countries is, once again, the money. Beyond a point, the army has no use, and I don't understand why I should spend my money here.
Could you increase the number of men to invade countries or make them usefull even in time of peace ?
3° The conquest.
As far as I played, it's the mechanic I'm the more interessed in, because it's not something you see in other idle games, and it has a lot of potential. But right now, all you gain is a tribut.
First of all, the tribut is not that great compared to the investment you had to make, but I don't really care. However, could you had a little more flavor to those conquest ?
As suggested before, maybe some new features unlocked when you got a new land, but why not some events (like bakeries distribution) or new characters (a lieutenant, an intendant, etc...) ?

First of all, I'm loving this game and all the flavor you've build around.
However, there's a few things that could and should be reworked :
1° The amount of money you have to spend in order to get more income buildings. Sure, it's a idle game, so basically it's fine if it takes time. But by letting us know we could have 900 of each when we're struggling to get 400 of each (not considering the Altars), it's a little harsh for the game experience... So maybe you should insert new upgrades/achievements in the game in order to have an objective in mind when you upgrade.
2° The army. At first I thought it's gonna be the end of the world but now, it's no fun. Just with 400,000 Knights, I get huge amounts of Soldiers despite my Arena, Barracks and Castle only at 100.

There is an issue with the Cathedrals. They do not award the correct amount of gold/army they should, they give as if they were one level lower.

I wish you could fight single persons too, and get some small rewards for each. Because it takes very long to just get the first country conquered, and apart from that, i find it a bit boring just to look at an upgrade screen all the time, with nothing to do. But i do like the concept.
Our ultimate goal for the future is to let you garrison troops in conquered countries to increase gains. Like assign 100,000 troops to farming in a conquered country to gain gold and what not. ~Taiga

I feel like conquering isn't really worth it, maybe a storyline of some sort, an imposed conquest order, and/or options with different strategies, that could maybe change the costs (picking to need less gold or troops for example at the price of the other) or success rates could make it more exciting!
Great game though, really impressive :) probably the best idle game out there atm
Since idle games take a long time to play traditionally, we made the decision to not allow you any way to lose a battle. We do have other things planned to make countries conquered worth it though so stay tuned! ~Taiga

Meh... after many idle games this one is one of the most boring ones.
It's not interesting at all , all you have is this picture of the "queen" and that's it. You have half dozen of options and only 3 resources.

I know theres not a lot to work around a idle game, but i will post my 2 cents.
Give some extra work on the art design and maybe allow us to create/customize the queen, maybe achievement related?
Make some armory function to buy armor and weapons for the soldiers, would be another use for gold and vary things ups, having to choose a better army or better economy.
Dave is already at work making things for the Queen actually, I'm still reworking all the math in the game to make it easier for people to understand and follow, creating a save export so people can backup their data and other misc. enhancements, next up will be a Kingdom Overview screen to view all your statistics. THEN if our game is still growing and the comments aren't still full of complaints and "1/5 try again next time guyz", I will begin work on all kinds of expanded content such as what you said. New ways to spend gold, new ways to use troops, a new "missions" system where you go off with the queen to perform some mission to gain extra resources or weaken an enemy nation. ~Taiga

How about a DPS meter on every money-making things? It will help(a little or a lot, or some) for seeing how much money we are getting per second.
