First - gotta love a dev that is responsive and fixes problems. Via PM, I know the math issues I saw earlier are getting fixed. Second - for those that think Dark Knights are wimpy, keep in mind that (a) they are meant to be used is massive bulk (think millions instead of thousands) and (b) they apply to ALL economic boosts so 10,000 Dark Knights gives you a 100% boost across the board, a million of them gives to a 10000% boost. It adds up but it takes time. Isn't that the point of an idle game anyway??? :-)

Well, a screen refresh got me a boost for my Market and Gold Mine, but the math is still "uneven". Market went from 13.44 to 21.84 (162.5% boost) and Gold Mine went from 80.64 to 131.04 (also a 162.5% boost). Farm and Cathedral stayed at the 150% and 183.3% boosts I had seen already.
I'm using Linqpad to setup experiments to confirm your math. Please give me a bit and I will PM you a formal reply as well as the formulas used in the game. ~Taiga

im experiencing a bug that gives a lot of gold and black knights, if im away for some time i come back and specnd all the gold then refresh the page suddenly i get billions and my dark knights that were at 25k on the altar went to 126k
If you click 'lock' on your windows username, it has been known to actually 'freeze' your game. So you actually think you left it idling and you were gaining a lot, but I've confirmed that you didn't gain anything, it factored you in as offline the whole time which is why you got your offline bosts after refresh. Please advise? I'm a little confused because this kind of bug shouldn't exist, so it likely isn't a bug but more of a symbol of working offline gains. ~Taiga

There is a bug where I let the game run while I am work, collecting a pile of resources. Then, I refresh the game, and it looks like I get all of the resources I would have received if I had idled the same time, in addition. Yum.

We are considering several paths to take along that line! One idea is to have an unlock achievement "new world" or something like that, after capturing grey isles, which zooms out on a whole HUGE unknown world to explore... or better yet. ENSLAVE! I've been playing around with resets trying to figure out some of the math and think I've found a bug. My latest game has 2500 Dark Knights, 3 Farm achievements, 2 Market, 2 Gold Mine and 1 Cathedral. Assuming Dark Knights give a 0.01% boost to economic multipliers each, I should be getting a 25% boost from my DKs. The before (o Dark knights) and after (2500 Dark Knights) don't line up though.
For the first of each of the gold producing buildings, here's what I saw:
Farm: went from 2.8 to 4.2 per cycle -> 150% boost
Market: stayed the same at 13.44/cycle -> no boost
Gold Mine: stayed the same at 80.64/cycle -> no boost
Cathedral: went from 600 to 1100 per cycle -> 183.3% boost
This means there's no benefit to DKs for Market or Gold Mine and I don't think that's what you intended. I also think the boost to Farm and Cathedral is ending up higher than you expected.

I think Thuffi's question was more along the lines of "Since troop milestones are 200, 400, etc and the achievements for 100, 300, 500,700 don't seem to have any effect on troop buildings, why have them at all?". Those could for example increase the rate at which troops boost army power, similar to dark knights, but a seperate multiplier.
We actually have different plans for ways to increase army power which is why we didn't add so many ways to increase it right now. We don't have THAT much content right now so if everything here was doing everything and adding to everything, we wouldn't have so much room to expand. I will likely be making the achievements that don't do anything, add another +1 to the multiplier during my statistics screen update though, but army power will be increased by other ways ;) <3 Taiga
Please check your PMs. I must track down and understand any kind of data loss that takes place in this game so, if there is an issue that I can control and isn't actually related to Unity's Webplayer, I need to have them fixed immediately. Each achievement milestone for troop buildings add +1 to the corresponding multiplier. The game calculates based on multipliers so the higher your multiplier for a building, the greater the gains. Multipliers are just multiples of your base value! ~Taiga

I dont see the point of having an "Army power" and a "#troops" when the first one is the second/2000. One should be removed unless Dark Knights are added to the formula or anything else.
With the extra space generated from removing one of those two values, you could add a Gold per second and Troops per second
We put those things on the buttons just to give a picture on the military status of the enemy. The tooltip contains the proper requirement information. However we will likely remove that all in favor of our upcoming Kingdom Overview screen that will give you 'spy reports' on your enemies instead so it will feel a lot nicer. You people are putting pressure on me to create an awesome statistics screen... I'll do my best not to disappoint! <3 Taiga

Tip for the dev: When the same question is asked several times, it's a good idea to improve the UI for that particular area to help future players. Say for army invasions, it's a pretty "vague" system, and showing better presented info would help newer players understand the system (Better is not equal to more info), like stating it costs money aside from a tooltip, tooltips may be a nice way to convolute information, but that's exactly what it does, convolute it to be more hidden.
The game's only a few days new and we've already accommodated many suggestions and fixes. We've already replied to this question many times saying we are working on a Kingdom Overview screen that contains all statistical data. Have patience please, we are just two people doing this in our free time while working full time on the side >_>

You don't explain anywhere what the bonuses from the dark knights exactly are. I mean, what does each dark knight give ? It just said "they give bonuses to gold and strength" but i've no idea how much etc.

I really love this one, it`s like exactly what I have been looking for =] one suggestion: equipable items for our queen! maybe they could be gained from conquering countries, like sacred reliquia, and tougher countries yield better equipment?
Hah! I was just talking to my artist about this earlier. Even if it's just 'cosmetic' stuff I think people would still enjoy unlocking them. It's one of many things we have planned for the future! <3 Taiga

I feel like because the cathedral takes so long to produce its gains aren't worth its price, maybe upping the speed or the amount of gold/troop income it would be more viable but until then its pretty impractical.
The reason the cathedral is slower than the other structures is because it gives troops and gold. I don't feel its purpose is to mass all points into it but it does serve the purpose of giving you gains to both statistics. We will look into a better way to handle it though. If we increased the speed it would give you a ridiculous lot of troops in a shorter time. Since this game is idle, people tend to forget it and come back a couple days later, the troop gains from Cathedral at that point would be insane. The Cathedral gives roughly 10 times more gold than the goldmine but is a little less than half the speed of the Arena. it gives 4 less troops than the castle but 8 more troops than the Arena (base value of 11 troops and base value of 400 gold).
The Cathedral takes 360 seconds to finish, the goldmine takes 8 seconds and the Castle takes 300. I hope these statistics help. We will definitely take any suggestions people make about it into consideration though! <3 Taiga

I appreciate the response but no - having a graphic that says "xx Army Power and xx Army size required" but then having to hover over it to see another popup that lists additional requirements is absolutely horrible design.
WOOPS I misunderstood what you were saying. Actually the text on the button just lists an army power and army size, it doesn't use the word 'required'. "Required" is used within the tooltip. I apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused you to mouse over a button. As I said before, however, we are making a Kingdom Overview screen and that will ALSO include information on other countries (stuff we can use to also create more content such as spies and what not). I'm not really a fan of cluttering the buttons with information when a tooltip is much easier to read than tiny cluttered text (Plus making the button sizes bigger would increase scrolling so that's a bad idea as well) ;) <3 Taiga
Part of the strategy of any strategy war game is to focus on gathering resources before you try to attack countries. In Idle Conquest, we recommend you focus on gold and dark knights until you get a lot of dark knights, then you can begin you world conquest! <3 Taiga

hmm so the only issue i have, is conquering. i actually liked it before when it woudnt show the battle, it didnt take 10 mins to do battle like it does now xD anyhow, id like to make a side note: i thoroughly enjoy how often you guys update the game, you take feedback well and i must say, one of the best developers ive seen so far, i mean seriously, replies and fixes within a few hours of people posting, thats just awesome, you guys figured out the secret to making an awesome game that much better!!! thanks for all your hard work, looking forward to future content releases. :)
Thanking us? Nah we should be thanking you guys for being awesome. Even if some people's 'feedback' is on the 'rude' side, it doesn't bother us because at least people have taken the time to give feedback at all and we can use everything people say as a means to improve the game. Trust us when we say, we got big plans to add a lot more interesting things to the game including an overhaul to what you can do after you've conquered countries such as building new stuff inside the conquered countries to increase gains, "missions" such as treasure hunting which will be text-based dialogue stuff with Catherine and new ways to gain multiplier points you can use to increase the production of other buildings and just all kinds of new stuff. All of these ideas came from YOU guys, so I am really thankful to everyone and I can't wait to write dialogue for Catherine it's going to fun ;) <3 Taiga

Troup generation once you conquer astridia and codoowana doesn't work, I gain only 13 troups every few seconds out of 25000 :( the same for codoowana
And i dnt understand troop loss after conqering, Had about 5 millions troups, 200000 lost in action, and few let for defending, And had no more left :( is it a bug or it's me ?
Will look into this again. Make sure nothing got changed *Edit* All appears to be working as intended. You have to click accept on the scroll after battle and your remaining troops will return to your available pool.

Now i really don't know what happening with the army power... I'll explain : I have 700.000 troop, and 4.000 troop power, and i will now conquer my first country.. Which had 50.000 troop and only 270 army power. So now, here the problem : How did this country beat 300.000 of my soldier when i was clearly 15 times more powerful as them?
We had a SNAFU with the math last night during final testing and a value got rounded that shouldn't be rounded. Sorry about that! As for troop loss. That's intended mechanics. Dark Knights now give a much more noticeable bonus to army power at lower amounts. 100k dark knights will give you aprox 266 army power when you have 50k troops.
Our mistake, inadvertently threw a system.math.round on a value last night that shouldn't have been there and it was chopping off gains from low amounts of dark knights. Math worked on paper but not in practice! Sorry about that!

A statistics page would be very nice, to see all the benefits of all the businesses, like I'm noticing the more times I upgrade the farm, the higher the production speed goes up, like a page to see how much they go up per level would be nice.

There actually IS an issue with dark knights and army power at the moment that seems to have been fine all the way through testing till launch. tracking the bug now. will be hot patched ASAP. You have not lost anything, as your power will calculate correctly as soon as the patch is applied and you refresh. Sorry about that!

From what I can see, achievements' bonuses are only applied the first time they're won. They stay lit through soft resets, but if I hit those same schievements again, I don't get the bonuses.

While the tiniest North Korea has over 1,190,000 active, 600,000 reverse, 5,889,000 paramilitary - total 7,679,000 "army".

If being the biggest would mean the strongest, Russia would be the strongest country in the world followed by Canada.

Another idea : Do you know Cookie Clicker and the Grannys ? The more you do stuff with them, the more they change ... Why not doing that when you have time for Catherine ? Like : The more we go for the demon stuff, the more she "change" in skin. :)

The Conquest makes almost zero sense in this game. Geographically speaking, why would the smallest islands be the hardest countries to sack? They would have the least resources and smallest navy and therefor should be the first nations to conquer. What sense does it make that a country the size of Chile would be easier to take then the Falkland islands?

I want to like this game, but I can't play anymore until it is fixed. Army Power is the worst. No explanation as to how it is calculated, how to get more of it (other than to spam troop production). Mechanics of the game are lacking, there are a EIGHT buildings, too few to keep interest as they become extremely cost-prohibitive after you hit the 200 wall. Even with achievements, the cost to benefit is way off. I know you are going to address some of this, I will try again in 3 weeks
