Designer said they planned on putting this out there, seeing if it garnered interest, then tweaking it and re-introducing this as the second game in the series... Sounds smart from a work perspective, but if your game has successful aspects but is an overall failure like this is, you can end up ruining a series before it begins. People won't be as interested the second go around, and it'll get skipped. Plan less poorly please devs.
We do this in our free time, not like it's paying us enough right now to make this our 'job'. That's why we released it to garner interest since 'free internet games' are still a lot of work to make. 160,000+ plays in 7 days isn't exactly a failure, and, I am not done making stuff for the current game anyways. Perhaps you can give our game a try once we've fixed things up based on suggestions and added the new content we have planned? Though I know that people's interests vary greatly and you seem to dislike our game which really isn't a problem that you have these opinions, there are lots of other games out there that you can find interest in so I wish you luck! ~Taiga

You have seen so many idle games because everyone saw how much HyperHippo made with AdCap ... 14 million game plays, and they get cash for each one. Even if it's a penny per play, that's still 140k ...
Well if our game makes enough money for me to quit my job and dedicate myself full time to programming and design for it, CodeRiftStudios (I am one of the founders of the company lol) will be working hard to expand content for this game to make it really great. We don't plan to just drop it if it becomes really big. We just can't do THAT much while we need to work full time on the side, this is literally a hobby right now. Also the money made per play is less than 1 penny per play, it's about 0.001 cents per play, not a lot until you get into AdCap's play count. ~Taiga

Hmmm.. I get "Error launching unity player". Unity player works on other games, just not this one. I know it's up to date, I'm using IE on windows 7. Help please!
Try switching to another web browser, reinstalling Unity Webplayer (making sure you're using the latest version), this problem happens from time to time since we're using Unity 4.6 instead of 4.5 they have yet to work out some bugs in their webplayer. It works, you just need to refresh and wait for it to work. I don't have any control over this on my end so it's a Unity issue. ~Taiga

To follow up from my previous comment (thanks for the quick response!), the interface is good, I just feel like there's a lot of "wasted" space. I like the fact that each menu has its own little picture, but I'd personally prefer a smaller picture so that I can see say, more upgrades, or more achievements (less scrolling that way).
Another way to combat against troops being useless in the beginning is making troops unavailable until a certain gold threshold (so make barracks a later purchase). That way, once troops are unlocked, players can instantly invade countries. Just an idea.

This is one of the better idle games I have played, yes it starts slow but it does pick up after a rebirth or two. I don't play idle games for fast action, there are other games for that, I play idle games so I can kill 5-10 minutes every few hours. CodeRiftStudios, please continue updating this game and don't mind the critics, you have made a wonderful idle game, keep up the good work!

It's a neat game so far, the interface could use some work. I see many people complaining about not being able to fight countries until a bit of idling; one way to combat this is to replace "Map" with a ????? and you can purchase the conquests with gold and armies so that way, people don't know what they don't have.
Granted, they'll wonder why they have troops AND gold, but it's a start.
But the comments will be flooded with how useless 'troops' are and "What do I use troops for??" Lol just trading one complaint for another. We will be adding sorting features for gold / troop objects and what not for the interface later but there won't be any serious changes done to it since completely changing a GUI a week after a game's launch is not a very smart thing to do :P (Besides, I like the style of the GUI, adding some sorting tools to help navigate it will probably make all the difference.) ~Taiga
It's a problem related to Unity's webplayer. If you refresh your browser too soon while it's still writing your prefs file to disk, it seems to corrupt your file and make it unusable (one thing I've learned from working with Unity these last 8 months is that Unity doesn't take saved games very seriously. Even the way they handle serialization is facepalm-worthy). It's not something I can actually control on our end. We are adding an export feature in next update so people can back their saves up though. Please PM me and, when we add the export feature (hopefully tomorrow), I will help you restore everything you lost. ~Taiga

Not sure if intentional, but gold mine achievement for 200 gold mines is +0.5 and not a multiplier of *0.5 ? The rest of production buildings have *0.5 multipliers. Is this a typo in the description or in the code?

@Zaodai True, the game is slow at start, but forever to fight the weakest nation? I've been playing this for one day and am about ready to fight it (Now that the offline issue is fixed). It looks like the achievements for the troop producing buildings give bonuses every other one (i.e. not 100 but at 200 and so forth; stated in the achievement description). And there is about as much to do at game start in this idle game as many other idle games (Adventure Capitalist, Idle Blacksmith, Idle Necromancer, etc.) Your criticism is a bit unfair, I think. The only issue I think is it seems like the developers *may* have released this a bit too early in their development cycle -- but perhaps not. User feedback is always important...

What I meant by there being nothing to do is that there is no sense of accomplishment at all in the early part of the game. If the game were about building sand castles, I shouldn't start by putting each individual grain of sand in a bucket. That puts your first castle as an extremely long term goal. In terms of idle games, if there's nothing in the first 15-30 minutes that makes you feel like you've accomplished something, it's not worth playing. It needs a "hook" to make you feel rewarded. Being able to see how fighting nations works 12 hours from now is not an enticement.
We don't feel that invading a foreign nation is a 30 minute task =\. However there are changes on the horizon to make getting into the game and gaining gold and troops far easier. Thanks for the feedback!

There really is an issue where there isn't so much a curve at the start as there is just a wall. You're idling towards nothing. 270 power and a boatload of troops to fight the weakest nation? that'd take forever, and there's literally nothing to do before that. The achievements for troop producing buildings don't even say what they do as a bonus, either. In general, it's just very slapdash. It may be an idle game, but it still needs a goal.
The goal is to conquer the world. Pretty straight forward if you click on the map you'll see that that, combined with the name of our game, make the goal pretty obvious. Or did you mean the game still needs 'something to do at all times'? Or were you referring to it needing greater rewards for such 'conquest'? As for achievements of troop producing buildings, go look at them again, they do say what they do. Not all of them give you something but our tooltips tell you exactly what is going on with what, unless you dislike reading then I can't really help ya there. Regardless, changes are already in the works to make the game feel better with easier to follow math and simple formulas. Until then, slap 'n dash! ~Taiga

Dark Knights just boosts up your army power? Kinda gimped considering they are the whole point of rebirths. They should at least give some gold or multipliers for gold producing buildings like 0.0001% per dark knight or something like that. Btw the 1.9 quadrillion upgrade seems unattainable and isn't worth the cost IMO.

Just shut down the high scores all together. I'd rather have the game fixed and balanced than have a high score board.
TBH we only left that one up for the 10% rev boost. There's not much we can do about the cheats since some of it was due to a loop hole we accidentally left in the code ourselves. wouldn't be fair.

Okay, so the only real complaint about this game is that it flows badly. Idle games, from the players perspective, should bring the player in, interest them, give them something to do, then let them come back to it later. This is .... just come back later. Nothing to do at the start but wait an awfully long time for no good reason. Worst idle game move ever tacked onto a pretty decent game once you're past terribly-thought-out-beginning.
Check back as we add more content. Our original plan was to post the game, see if anyone was interested. then Add a ton more content and post again as Idle Conquest 2. but it seems everyone likes the first iteration quite a bit as it is. so we are rushing to add stuff in as well as patch up a few remaining bugs. Sorry for the annoying start. Next update will solve this for the most part by making stuff quite a bit cheaper to build!

With over 1Million DKs, around 100x the AP, and about 10x the troops of the enemy they still manage to kill at LEAST 2-3 of my troops per man... o.O I'm with suzurachi, can we equip 'em with something better than "rags and bananas"?
Hey now, bananas are a highly effective fighting tool! We are working on updates to allow dark knights to more directly influence your battle, as well as a minigame to speed (or slow) the battle depending on your skill at it. However these things take time to design/program/test! Please check back for update news!

After I reload the page, the timers for the countries I've conquered just stay red. Are they still giving me resources?
'tis an old old glitch since before beta testing that I have confirmed should not exist anymore in the current version of the game. I noticed your scores were a little... over-exaggerated on the scoreboard so I'm wondering if this has something to do with your current problem? ~Taiga

So I still have a problem with the fact that I can have like 10 times more troops and army power than a country, and still lose like a nice 25% of the army that's sent. Kinda wish that it was more interactive, the military side of things, cuz.. we are the general. Probably the worst general ever, though. we're just sending the army places and building farms and what not! D: Perhaps just military upgrades in the side, to make the men you do have better at not dying, like better armor or weapons, or better training.(or something of the sort.) ! I feel like my army is going to war equipped with rags and a banana or something.

I notice at the hard reset it says ''THIS WILL RESET ALL OF YOUR DATA AND ACHIEVEMENTS! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UNDO THIS ACTION!'' Why not?
Because it's easier to have this if you need to delete all of your saved data than to force you to go find your save file and delete it and do all kinds of stuff like that. Use Dark Knight reset for normal resetting. ~Taiga

AFK mode? We already have an offline mode but we would prefer you to play the game instead of making it feel like an automatic robot game that plays itself :P

Offline mode didn't calculate. Left it last night, on options it said "new text" (remember it because it seemed weird). Now it has "version 1.0a" though. Think my offline time started before the update mentioning to look for which of those it says. Came back to only like 10 seconds worth of profit after nearly a day of offline time.

So did your purposefully nerf the Dark Knights gold gain because i have around 500,000 DKs and the gold boost is pretty small compaird to how it was a few days ago, this actually has made me hit somewhat of a standstill and I can no longer progress and a good rate
We have not touched the gains at all, we just updated the tooltips to accurately display what the multipliers are doing. However, next update I have greatly reduced cost to buy stuff because I am already aware of the standstill problem. I'm fairly sure the next update will fix this, have a little patience and it'll be out soon! Sorry about that. ~Taiga

Capturing countries sucks, not worth the cost. Also, the % upgrades per 100, feels useless as do the upgrades you purchase. The game feels tiring and monotonous.
We are working on a huge update for the rewards you get for countries conquered. Have a little patience and it'll be out before you know it! You are absolutely right, what we have going on right now does suck a lot. We didn't expect the game to grow so fast It's only 7 days old lol. ~Taiga

um i use cheat engine i cant hack this so theirs no need cause i tried every possible way and it doesn't work,and i don't care if i get band so yeah... derp :p

There should be a battle mini-game when concuring a country. Allowing you to take a risk if you trust your skills enough or vice versa. A long buildup and than boom a battle. That'd be cool.
