Mmm... I was trying to figure out where my mood changes went, and I've just found that clicking "Talk to Catherine" while you're at war uses up a mood change.

That moment when you accidentally start the attack without sending any extra troops, and you'd like to call it off to regroup and send a proper amount, but then remember that Touria has never lost a battle, let alone retreated, and you slowly, grudgingly press on to save face (and avoid execution)...
Check the Kingdom Overview under the miscellaneous to view how many mood changes you have left. If it says 0, you need to do a dark knight reset to restore them back to 8.

Not sure if this was posted already but for the dialogue about conquering Omana, if you choose to leave and not come back she says "I hope he doesnt hate me. Well, if he conquers Obama..." I didnt know we were taking out presidents in this game. Not a huge error but a funny one :D

Even when sending the most troops possible it is still slower than it used to be. The first country used to take two seconds and now it takes almost 30 with 1000% increase and i am guessing by the time you get down to the last one it'll take a day or so.
"Idle" Conquest. It was never meant to take only 2 seconds to conquer a country. The speed up is what I consider more balanced. I actually have some code in place that scales up the conquest speed the higher the country so it won't take a day or so for the last country due to this. I just did some very rough math and Grey Isles with Catherine's mood set to evil with a 1000% boost will take ABOUT 34 minutes. Probably more but not hours or days kind of more.
It was part of the bugs I JUST fixed. Refresh your browser and try again. If it still persists, go to the options menu, export your gain and paste it to a document for safe storage. Then clear your browser cache / cookies and reload the game.

seriously? i used to take over the world in 10 minutes, now it takes 10 minutes to take over two countries!? wow, yeah i'm gone, till this is fixed i've lost all reason to play.
I just added a way for you to spend troops to increase world conquest speeds but this is an idle game and I decided to make it an idle game again. The conquest was meant to be idled and was never meant to be done in 10 minutes. In my mind, it is fixed now but was broken before. If you must depart because I have taken this game back to its 'idling' roots with conquest then I wish you best of luck in your endeavors :)

So i went to conquer the first zone and my troops died and i ended up with negative troops defending Astrila ( the troops bar even went as far as going towards Catherine foot xD) is it something normal or a bug?

I seriously hope this happens soon. To have worked up the achievements and Dk Knights only to now find that having excess troops and DK's means nothing and now I may as well go play another game after starting a battle is less than favorable.

ok, so I had to have ttn the statues moving dialogue a least three times in a row now. Is that normal? and is there a way o make it more or less likely you will get a new dialogue?

My experience of new update.
I reset with 2.26 bil DKs and set catherines mood to gleeful. I bought 1000 of each gold producing building, set her mood to evil and did the same with troop buildings. I upgraded everything to level 3 and built 540+ altars all before the first tick on AP gain.
I'm sure we all appreciate the work thats gone into providing this update and the continued support of the game but I'd suggest the difference between gleeful and evil costs of buildings be significantly reduced. buying cathedrals from 1000 -> 1100 at gleeful is going to cost me a mere 8.36 tril. the same purchase on evil is 9.4 sextil. Thats a massive difference in price. I'd probably suggest a timer on how often you can talk to catherine too. As it stands I can just keep talking to her and get the mood I want.

~Bloodly1 no no you get it wrong - in present time you only build altars gather resourcers and makes sacrifices to prepare for the ritual which create and make these dark knights join your forces - the ritual has a side effact it warps into past all dark knights and the one who performed the ritual (yes its you) [i think its kind like that :D )

I cannot understand the point of Dark Knights. They exist. Now. But they only somehow have an effect AFTER a reset. What the hell is that meant to represent? Why are they not having an effect now, in the present, if they are here, in the present?

Oh don't get me wrong YOUSUBA83, this game is fantastic! It's well put together, a little annoyingly addictive, well balanced - and a credit to your skills, especially given the circumstances! I in no way meant to insinuate otherwise.
It was just that based on some replies to comments concerning future updates, I assumed that the visual story would be in addition to other content - if you've already got the achievements, I found there to be little incentive to continue playing.
I'm still very impressed with what you've achieved so far, and look forward to your next project!
I understand your sentiments and we truly feel the same way as you. We would have gone the route to add more conquest-related content instead if this VN had we known it would have taken this long (due to the reasons I mentioned before). Dave and I were discussing this same thing in fact that this update is really insufficient to all the players who have too many resources and multiple conquests anyways. It just sorta ended up being this way but we learned a lot, not just from a production perspective but also from the perspective of all of you gamers. All of the feedback and how we kept track of plays of our game every day and watch them drop based on certain decisions has been an eye opener. When we inevitably begin a new game project we will be able to maintain a more professional and consistent development plan as a result of all of the feedback generated from Idle Conquest. So really, I and CodeRiftStudios sincerely appreciate all of the feedback both negative and positive.

I understand the previous model was broken, but Dark Knights no longer having -any- impact on conquest speed has made war into a completely unenjoyable protracted slog. It should still have some impact, if not the ridiculous levels if used to have: Right now, it has turned the least fun (but ignorable) part of the game into an active detriment that makes it impossible to enjoy. The VN additions are nice, but it's a bit of a shame that after all this time that's the only content in this update. Ideally, another update in a few days will revert DKs back to having some impact (albeit lesser) on war speed.
Conquest gives you a +5 bonus to altar multiplier which is really huge. Dark knights give boosts to all of the economy gains. Yeah the term 'dark knights' is misleading considering we never meant for them to actually affect battle speeds although they do affect army power. We never intended for conquest to be a quick thing at all and I really regret giving in to people who were upset over how long it took to conquer the world. I realize that people have gotten used to the rapid conquest speeds and maybe many will quit the game as a result of this but it was truly a horrible decision on my part to speed up conquest in such a way. If anything, I should have allowed you to spend 'troops' to allow you to speed up conquest instead of a flat increase based on dark knights. In fact that is a really good idea and is something to consider.

That's just great! I just read through the first dialog and I'm loving it. Had a lot of laughs. Catherine is gorgeous! I can understand that this update is very specific and not for everyone, but personally I like it very much! Definitely worth the long waiting and the hard work from Devs <3

I fail to see how the fact the deveopers planned to have a Visual Novel within the game was unclear. The Jan 26th explicitly states it and the Dec 24th mentioned plenty of writing.

I feel a little misled by some of the developers comments regarding the upcoming update. If i'd known it was just an interactive story which makes little difference (once you have enough dark knights) I'd have probably put this game down some time ago.
We apologize for any misunderstandings regarding what a visual novel was and should not have assumed people knew the meaning of this word. The update took a long time because of personal real life issues and writer's block. This game does not pay us even close to what it would take to fund our basic living conditions so we will have periods of time where life pulls us away. A part time minimum wage job literally pays more lol. Sadly this is the life of an armchair Kongregate developers. Please stay tuned for a discussion post we will be making on the forums likely tomorrow.

I liked it much better when they were scaled to my number of DK. This part is very painful. My army is hobled by the new mechanic I have millions of troops and yet only a 100 thousand go and fight? this needs to be fixed.

yes, unfortunately the DK based system proved to be far too fast. we made the change to bring the pace closer to what we intended to begin with. and to give newer players a less "broken" experience. lol

Nice so far. Kind of like Long Live the Queen but with the kingdom instead of the individual princess as the focus of attention.
