Awesome update, this game is really fun, and I can't wait for the big update (well, technically, I can wait, but you get my point). Also, weird little graphics bug that just popped up: on the Map screen, Queen Catherine now covers up the pop-up that tells you about each country you can conquer.

Thanks for fixing those offline gains, finally.
In my opinion it's OK to ask for ratings as long as they've kept their promises and attempt to respond with us. I've dealt with a few of those games that didn't, so I think you're not in the red zone yet.
I have a grudge against some people who don't think being a solo developer is something to care about, it reminds me of the whole goddamned corporation overrule in USA all over again.

I'm to the point where i can conquer the world a few times a day. While i'm enjoying the conquering, I'm also looking forward to some content updates. If i don't get them soon, I'll keep playing but I'm taking the sheep.

Ive read lots of complaints about the devs threatening to abandon the game if it didnt get 5 stars and stay on the front page. I just want to point out that the devs are just 2 people, with their own lives to deal with. They DO care about the players and the game actually being fun, rather than just throwing out random content. Their activity is proof. When they say "If it doesnt stay on the front page, we're going to stop updating the game", I dont believe its a threat, but a poorly worded fact. They arent just trying to make a good game, theyre trying to make a successful game. If the game falls off the front page, the plays fall too, and if nobody plays the game, it isnt successful. My point is they only have time to work on one thing, and if this becomes a sinking ship, theyll have no choice but to move on, or give up on becoming successful writers. Theyre not demanding ratings and holding updates hostage, theyre asking for a chance to continue to add them. Thats what I see anyways
It's very difficult to word that without sounding threatening but trust me, we promised updates and you're getting the exact amount of updates that were promised. We are looking towards the future such as new maps to conquer and what not and that is why we need support so we can keep adding to the game BEYOND the promised updates. But if plays drop too far we'll have to jump ship and start on a new project. It's due to the fact that we don't have unlimited time to work on things. Sorry for the misunderstanding this all has caused. ~Taiga
*edit* I know what you are talking about now. I will monitor the rounding change and see if it is, in fact, the popular OCD direction and will remove it if it actually is a problem. ~Taiga

Well, offline gains are working now, and there's a fix for you OCD people. Also, there's some pics in the forums those of you waiting on the new update might like to see. :D

You just turned a fan of your game into a non-fan through your interactions in the chatroom. I was merely trying to tell you how your interactions in the comment stream (the only information I've seen lately in the way of updates) are coming off as rude, and uninterested in player opinion. SILENCE ALL DISSENTERS!

There is a bug since the last update - all buildings above the Market don't show the change in price when you mark the button to build 10, 50 or 100. They charge the right price though, you just can't see how much you're paying before you do it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the reason people are being OCD is because at the beginning / after reset the game.
example:
-market (quantity 0)
-click buy 100
- market (quantity 1)
it' annoy some player as they only get 1 instead of 100. the supposed output is:
-market (quantity 0)
-click buy 100
-market (quantity 100)
if this sequence is fixed then players can't complain being OCD in future. but if this solution as you said before breaks some things then its up to you on how to patch this as its only a small minor bug that affect OCD obsessed people (including me).

Sorry man, offensive behavior against the players won't help you to improve your game. I don't think you made a bad job, but if people feel like it's not worth to be one of the best rated games here, so it possibly isn't one.
Sometimes even a game dev needs to have fun. We wouldn't be the first game devs ever to reply to rude comments with sarcasm nor will we be the last. I do like replying to people with the same respect they give me so if someone's comment is informing me that I suck or that I am lazy and worthless, you can expect a reply of equal mannerism. Such is the way of human speech :) ~Taiga

so you say ur not begging for ratings yet then beg for ratings?
how can i give this game 4 starts compared to some of the outstanding games on kong? accept this will become 'buried'.
really dont have time for beggars

*BUG* If you have Idle Conquest open in two windows, you can do two different conquests on each one! Start a conquest on one, and it will automatically be done on the other one. Then start the second conquest to do 2 conquests in the span of 1. It's retarded, yes, but I just found it. Not exploiting it, but this is a real bug. @Yotusuba83 please see this.
That doesn't make any sense but I have more important things to worry about than chasing nonsense exploits. If people are going that far to exploit this idle game then whatever. ~Taiga

In the actual state of developpement of that game, I cannot really give it 4 or 5 stars sorry. Bring us that update, and if it really improves the game, then the rating will improve as a result.
Thank you for your advice. I'm happy to be told by someone like you that I have not made any effort in my project despite spending every day working on it for 2 months. I will somehow figure out how to put MORE effort into it. ~Taiga

It'd be nice if there was an option to disable the 'Touria declares war on ___!" sequence. I find that takes more time than actually conquering for most of the countries.

My suggestion is to just refresh the game more often. Because the offline loss is significant, I keep the game running all the time, where I would normally check it now and then, so it missed hundreds of plays in the last weeks just for me as a single player.

Sometimes people forget to vote or forget they voted low before certain update. Lets say she is beggin for ratings. But you know what? Ignore that. Instead think of this. Have any of the updates made the game any better enough to think you will add 1 more star? Does the dev deserve a bonus star for effort and communication in comments? Did you forget or thought it wouldnt be necesary to vote even if you like this game? Answer the questions on your own and decide if you should change your rating or if you havent voted. Give it what you think it deserves after a second thought.

I really want to continue to like this game, but it's getting tired. Catherine's adorable ruthlessness is a big plus, but it can only stretch so far. Ultimately, content is limited to buying invisible masses of buildings, conquering the same static continent over and over, and buying production speed upgrades. Since the game's whole focus is conquering, such a simplistic battle and conquer system needs to be the main focus of some very near future updates.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
He's just asking for ratings so this game doesn't get lost in kong's game archives and all his hard and continual work will go to waste. Unlike most developers he's sticking with this project and I for one would hate to see all that effort go to waste.

"... We’re not begging for ratings ...". Sorry, but when you ask players to rate a your game higher regardless of whether it actually deserves it or not, that *is* begging for ratings. I was a fan of this game from the early days, but am getting a bit weary of the poor solo developer plea, not to mention the affronted attitude that creeps into a lot of your responses to comments. I get it, you're development resources are limited. But it's a bit pretentious to ask for extra credit over other developers who put more time, people, and investment into their games. IMO, and I know I'll get massively downvoted for this post, but I believe this game got most of its momentum from fanboys who fantasize about the appealing main character of Catherine, not so much the gameplay itself, which wears thin after a couple of resets.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Please rate up everybody. This is one of the few developers that is still working to improve the game even after all this time. They deserve four at least for that.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i cant stop coming back to this game! I love it so much haha, leave it for a couple days then dark knight reset and repeat! great game! great developers!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You seem to have done quite a good job with this game if you got people attached to the tsundere tyrant everyone knows as Catherine
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Or, at least, a choice in the end of the game :
- Marry Catherine, and rule the world with her.
- Kill Catherine, and rule the world alone.
- Stay Catherine's general and help Catherine to rule the world.
- Quit General post, and live a life alone, in the Touria world.
Or... Make it more Visual Novel, with regular choice.
