Hi, i think "Kingdom Overview" button should be put on somewhere easy to reach. Like, near the gold text. Nice update thought :D
And building selection in the "Economy" tab better use gridview than scrollbar system. It make me frustrating to scroll every time. :(
We will be eventually making tabs to help sort your economy items but unfortunately we can't make it a gridview without massively reworking our GUI. I wanted my idle game to be more than just a grid view with bars and buttons to click. Places like the world map there is no way to have a grid view of that without making the map tinier and it'd just be a huge mess. I will stick with my design decision with the visuals but I will definitely be adding more convenient ways to sort through your economy items which might make it so a scroll bar is no longer needed there. Even when the visuals are disabled one of my cores is being fully used by "System" which would seem to indicate something like file read/writes out of control. There is a unity log writing as mentioned by someone else with the line: "web: set web resolution 100 x 100, fs=0" over and over while the game is running.
*EDIT* it shouldn't be doing it anymore if you go into low quality and then click out of the web player so the screen turns blue. I think the debug log is printing off the Canvas Renderers on each of my objects (I can't disable them I need them) so when I disable the Canvas itself, it should be stopping the writing process.
Yep. That is why my game is lagging. So all my code optimization was pointless. However the low quality thing helps because it disables the whole Canvas. Unity is writing out some debug log that I can't turn off because I don't have access to their component scripts. The debug log is literally writing to disc every second for every object in my game lol =/ Thank you Unity for your professionalism. I realize this is a 'beta' but forgetting to turn off your debug reporting before pushing out a major update? No. ~Taiga

There really should be an achievement for conquering the world, and the game should provide some sort of acknowledgment in the main screen. At the very least, Catherine should show some kind of reaction to achieving her megalomanical dream. I personally think it would be cool if, as you conquer countries, you accumulate the country's flags as trophies on the throne room's walls/pillars. Alternatively, replicate the world map on the throne room floor by adding the countries to the carpet as they are conquered. Once you conquer them all, encircled them all with the word Touria repeated over and over, or with the Tourian anthem.
I was waiting for the Catherine speech overhaul to do something in this regard. It just isn't as satisfying if I just had some small text show in that tiny bubble. ~Taiga

There should be a reset effect for conquering the world. like all countries get 10% harder to conquer but yeild 25% more income for each time you've conquered the world

Import option says "please paste your game here" but there are not options in a pop up box. There are 2 radio buttons... Accept and Cancel but clicking either one does nothing, as does clicking in the box.
Volanskie, when you export it copies your file to clipboard you can paste it into notepad to back it up. When importing you can import it back into notepad. Also offline gains should either give you the full amount or not give you anything at all. There isn't any way for you to get jipped due to the way I coded the system I made that impossible. However, if you can use www.pastebin.com and send me your import I can check into it and just be SURE there isn't some issue. ~Taiga

check with file monitor, unity writes same log-file 20-25+ times per second, each time adding line "web: set web resolution 100 x 100, fs=0"... hdd-conquer? :)
Edit: You are right. I posted on unity's forum about it. It's some sort of debug log file they forgot to disable... lol all the stress I had optimizing my own code thinking it was me... I'm kinda mad at Unity to say the least. ~Taiga

I'll try out the export from your recommendations. Will that also help fix the offline gains? 8 hours offline time, only gained 2 hours of gold/troops overnight... I use Safari, but that shouldn't make a difference.

Lost masses of progress for some reason. That reason is unknown, and I don't really care about finding out why for some other reason. I guess I have too much on my mind, so I don't care about anything. How depressing. Peace.

So I noticed the Altar achievements no longer apperently give time improvements. Kinda dissappointed that's out, was wondering why?
It would have been too much combined with world conquest multiplier. In fact, I did some math and time calculations and figured it was too much in general. Sorry about that.
Yeah but now it gives straight gold with a much faster completion time. Meaning you can simply spend more money in the buildings that do give troops. I feel this is easier to balance and people do like gold I think :P ~Taiga

Thank you for the lag fix! I'm pretty sure it's improved a lot since the super laggy times of yesterday.
Now, just to bide my time....and tomorrow I might have the 2.5 billion troops I need to storm the grey isles!
<3 seriously happy to hear this! Knowing what helped people also helps me advance as a programmer. I've learned a lot of stuff thanks to the feedback from you guys and it's been great. Although I still have concerns about making new content right now. I will see exactly how the game runs for people since there definitely is an issue going on with some components from Unity 4.6 and if there really isn't anymore lag at all I can begin work on the dialogue overhaul update. ~Taiga

the achievement for 900 markets says that there are dungeons all over the world that are full of treasure. I would gladly send my excess troops into a dungeon to search for gold...

taiga if your answer is true then there is a bug (with the overview showing "conquest multiplier after reset") since for me it showed 5 first 2 resets then it showed 10 now it shows 15 i though it was supposed to increase thats why i didn't report it xD.
It is supposed to increase. Hallowed encountered a weird bug but I already fixed it, pushing out the fix now lol. The bottom of the altar tells you what the multiplier will be after the reset. I know it's kinda confusing I do it this way cuz most games just say "Multiplier + 5" then it forces you to do the math I thought this was a more 'lazy' friendly approach. And fix is up! ~Taiga

Conquering the higher power countries (Seula+) is a lot slower than it used to be. It also progresses faster when you're offline than when you're online (probably due to lag issues.) Unity pls.

Altar conquest multiplier is wrong. It said I would have 120 multiplier after reset. I reset and it said I only had a 5 multiplier with the "120 multiplier after reset" still at the bottom of the screen. Is it not being applied correctly?
Can you PM me a pastebin of your saved data so I can check it out? However you can only gain a maximum of +5 to the altar multiplier per reset. +5 per world conquest so for it to say 120 is wrong. ~Taiga

... just realized. Not only did it reset to before the Dark Knight reset, but it reset to several hours before that point, so I went backwards on Achievements, which also means I lost something like 12 hours of DK generation AND gold generation...

Like the game but keep running into issues. Such as... I did a Dark Knight reset 4 hours ago, brought everything up to level, logged out... logged back in about 20 minutes later and the game reverted BACK TO BEFORE dark knights reset, so I lost a lot of the effort I just put in. Really glad I was watching a movie at the time so I don't feel like all my efforts were completely wasted :(
Sorry that had to happen and every time someone mentions a saved data loss such as this, I run tests to see if it happens to me and, it has not happened to me after these tests. I would recommend using the export feature to save out your game to notepad to import back in later. Unity webplayer could be conflicting with any number of things including firewalls and virus scanners that might prevent it from saving your game to your hard drive. Too many variables exist with this webplayer thus export was made. ~Taiga
Go to options and use low quality settings if you are getting lag. It'll have to be this way until Unity finalizes its release candidate version of its software which we used to make our game. We added new images and used some features from the new version of Unity to make our game look REALLY good, the components seem to be using too many resources, low quality will disable them. Just be mindful that low quality will hide your game's graphics while you are not focused on the browser, but the math calculations still run. ~Taiga
309.60 billion per hour. I'd say that's a pretty decent payout actually. And the more dark knights you have the more you can get per each reset. Pretty much triggers a spiral down hill to big gold payouts and faster world conquests. :P ~Taiga

Maybe there could be bonuses for taking a whole continent, like a percentage increase in gains for the countries in that continent. I'm kind of borrowing this idea from Risk, but it does make it a little more satisfying when you have a whole continent under your control. Also, maybe when you take a country it should be renamed Touria (considering it is now part of Touria) and the border between countries owned by Touria should be erased. It's just a way of seeing your progress of world domination a little clearer on the map.

I agree with the Dev comment about adding an interactive tutorial. Something quick and easy cause, you know it IS an idle game not much to learn about. But something to explain what the different buildings do (i know, mostly self explanatory), maybe how each stat increases (again, mostly self explanatory but im still unclear on how the army power is calculated)

Well, it seems everything something is fixed, something else is broken (not blaming taiga, to begin with, Unity sucks). But you guys been doing your best to fix those problems, you have done more than what most developers had done and that is something. On a side note, from the old version to the 1st big update i didnt exactly lagged but i could hear my laptop fan going crazy after opening the game. From that to the last update my fan goes on and off like it used to be and that is good enough for me. For the last update and all the effort i will add another star to my raiting of this game. Cheers.

Can You go back to the X2 Speed for the upgrades. Or at least the first Two. I don't understand, I have to buy more to have the same speed effect as I did before.
I am sorry for the inconvenience regarding that but my previous system was a bad design choice that is why I had to change it. I cannot revert back to how it was or it would create a serious imbalance regarding the overall speed of everything. Once Unity finalizes their 4.6 webplayer and people's lagginess stops, I will work on adding more to the game which will be more upgrades so I hope that will make people happy. ~Taiga

So far i have liked this game and i think when its fully updated/done it would be very popular, i just think we would need more gold buildings
I am hesitant to add anymore content to the game until Unity confirms a stable version of their 4.6 webplayer. All I did was add some more numbers in this current update and some more images and people's CPUs are going nuts. We literally can't add one more thing to this game until Unity is done finalizing their web player. We aren't giving up on this game at all, but we are also trying to work with Unity and help them hurry along their final product. I've already submitted my project file for them to look at as well. More gold producing structures = more vector map calculations, more bars, more texture graphics so it would just turn an already teetering between too laggy game and slightly laggy into a lagfest. Although if you have even a semi decent computer this game runs great. GPUs help instead of built-in intel video cards and Unity Engine only actually uses 1 core so even if you have an 8 core processor it only cares about your CPU ghz :P
Thanks for playing and rating! We are still looking at lag, but the problem is extremely mysterious to us at this point. We have literally over optimized the game and put in options to completely disable all graphic elements when the game is out of focus, and it seems to have completely fixed the problem for some people, and messed it up for others that never had a problem, when the things we changed should have been a massive improvement on CPU and GPU usage... So unfortunately the lag fixing is at a standstill until unity gets back to us on some questions we posted. I hope most of you are able to play ok! Sorry for the problems!

@JasonTX Well, i'm getting unity crash. I don't think i have problem with it but since the last update, i can't get into the game.
Are you getting an actual error message with the unity logo? or are you getting a white screen/no kongregate stuff loading (chat/highscore/game tabs etc). We have experienced both on and off in testing. an actual unity crash can usually be solved by clearing cache, and if that doesn't get it, a fresh install usually does. The other i believe is a script crashing on the kong page itself, not sure how to fix that yet besides just waiting and trying again later =\.

Like an intro video? Or an interactive tutorial? Its really a somewhat simple game to start with so we didn't think it was necessary. But if enough people want to see it we might be able to whip something up!

I logged in earlier and every thing was fine, but with the latest update, the game doesn't load. It just shows a grey screen. From the comments, it seems I'm the only one with this problem.

I just want to say, I think it's amazing how much work you've been putting into this game, from the whole unity issue a few days ago, to the new update and trying to fix the problems people had. It just adds one more reason to why this is my favourite idle game atm knowing the developers care about updating and trying their best to fix issues with their game.

When i focus on another window, the game screen turn to blue, is it a bug ? not so annoying, should even be solution for game lag when online but inactive ?
I made an update status emphasizing why it turns blue and why you should not worry about it. Simply click back into it to show the visuals again. The game still calculates the math it just stops the visuals that is all. ~Taiga

Still some lag problems, i think. Example: cathedral takes 6 seconds but says it should take 4.4, I am using low quality already. It was fine for me with the new update, before the lag "fix"
I timed all of these objects with a clock and threw my findings into the Kingdom Overview screen. All objects run in a framerate process which means that if you are loading a youtube video, it may cause a 1 second or 2 second delay, heck even receiving Skype messages can affect it. It will vary from computer to computer. Please do not use that timing as a perfect representation on when something should complete. I have optimized my game the best I can. Now we wait for Unity to optimize their web player. ~Taiga

Low quality seems to help a lot with CPU usage when not focused. I don't notice much of a difference when I AM focused, but there's a little bit less usage. Hopefully Unity will get all their issues sorted out, and we won't have to worry about it anymore.
Well at least that problem's in the bag. People can idle the game and go Youtube or whatever else they do which definitely makes my time worth it. I'll check out a few more things I just thought of and may private message you to see if there was a difference. The issue is that some Unity component we need to make our game work is chewing up resources fast as heck, so I was able to help by optimizing a great deal of my code everywhere I could think of in order to compensate for the component sucking up CPU processing speed. Our game looked like crap before the update, as you can see the update made things look so much more pretty and these components are the reason for it. The low quality settings removed the need for any 3d math to happen anymore which, in-turn, creates lower quality lol. Not sure what else I can do. Now we can only sit back and watch lag comments pile up for days or weeks on end. ~Taiga

intensive lag. With all speed upgrade my game run a 1/5 of normal speed. Battle progress bars colors are bugged. Log turn black after a country capture. (I wasn't lagging ect before the update).
