Good game but just incremental improvement on the first. Also a lot is up to luck as the zombies sometimes spawn in huge fast groups with weapons and then your SOL.

A fantastic sequel to a somewhat generic game. I love the additions, changes, and modifications you've included. I would've liked to have a little bit more narrative in the journal entries (Giving the survivors characters and persona's could help) Overall I went into this expecting nothing, and instead ended up loving it. 5/5.

beat it 3 times on other sites
better than the 1st one by FAR
not too hard - just keep the regular pistol and give your guys the powerful guns that have small clip sizes. they tend to not use automatic guns to their full potential - so give the guy in the top spot the shotty and you will rack up the head shots in no time...5/5

Much harder than the first one, less enjoyable than the first one though I appreciate the effort and all. Like many have said, extremely luck based, I beat the game with very few weapons and 2 - 3 survivors. I don't really understand why survivors couldn't wield the bow or the chainsaw. I mean, it is better than having nothing for them!

Well, it was certainly similar to the old game. Liked how you couldn't just abuse search and simply find every weapon in the game. Although I must say... the automatic weapons in this game suck pretty bad. Heck, even the pistol/revolver is better.
4/5 from me, only because it was a bit short.

Now I'm going to have nightmares about army soldiers sprinting at me with knives.
I gave 5/5. Would have been better if it had that extra city with the M248 and RPG though...

3/5 gameplay is good visual graphics nice smoothe controls only thing i dont like is the life you get for your forts i went from 80 to 60 all the way to 50!!! and 50 wasnt the easiet it against zombies it was the hardest and the pop was 1040. I was really angery with the searches i found it annoying how i found 1 survior each town and how easy it is for them to die and when there were so many houses. The same for guns what happen to automatic guns like smg or m14 only gun that i had that was fast was the pistol the first game was much better sorry its the truth.

I agree a little with ob. The story is weak- however, how many quick flash games have a strong story- they dont need one. But there is more luck in this one than previous that hurts it. I mean at one point i had 4 survivors and cleared 2 whole maps and only found up to the shotgun...plus i never found a single gun in any of the places with a gun icon.
the game plays well like the older one, however the new features although cool could use some work to make it work the way it should.
outside that, great game. gave the first a 5/5 and this one 4/5

@ ap0clyps3
Are you serious? a 1/5?
That's BS. A 1/5 would be for some crappy flash game that an 8th grader made over the weekend. Just becuase there are things in this game that you don't like doesn't mean that it deserves a 1/5. It has style, unique graphical design, good strategy elements and is genuinely fun, even if only for a level. Yes, this game isn't looking to do you any favors and is balls to the wall hard at times. Some elements are certainly low brow like the traps; but 1/5 is ridiculous. Grow up, and learn how to effectively rate games. By giving this a 1/5 you are saying that this game is just as bad as the worst games here on kongregate.

I know this is a few pages back, but Obeliskos is pretty much entirely wrong.
@Deathdog04: It takes 6 days to get from Jamestown to Union, if I recall correctly.

Screen wasn't too dark for me. I could easily see everything just like any other game. Didn't have to read instructions except to switch weapons, very intuitive controls.
I can't quite give it a 5 because it was really short and the story was pretty thin. I'd love to see a Last Stand 2.5 with a few more days and a few more towns and more background about each town or more story in general.
Overall, excellent gameplay. It was a touch on the easy side, but honestly I think I preferred that to it being super difficult. Unless you just suck at finding survivors or have really bad luck, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to beat it.

I'm in Jonestown on Day 31, all buildings checked, 5 days worth of supplies, and no option to continue onward with to the next city... ghey.

Great game, got all the way through. Somehow, though, I feel a sort-of-cliff-hanger...
5/5
If you can't really see the zombies because you have an old computer, like the previous commenters, just go to the options/settings menu (Of your computer!) and turn up the... uh... OMG! I forgot what it's called! I know it started with a C... And it means... Hey, I remembered! It's contrast. Raise the contrast.
