here's something i find pretty lame
it says in the instructions that you can save your companion by pressing G
well, i tired that a couple of times, but it doesn't work

When playing as a female, there's a dialog problem that causes some characters to refer to her male spouse as a women, usually saying "she" instead of "he." First noticed it at the survivor camp, but it may pop up at other places.

How come I can't save my companions? There's not even a prompt, and I just have leave them lying there, hand outstretched, lonely and cold, stabbed in the back and left to die.

Roughly every half hour or so, my main character goes into some kind of a stupor. He can turn but he has no forward or lateral movement, he aims or theatens with his weapon but cannot use it. There have been several occasions where he has returned to normal after a few minutes, but many other occasions where the zombies got there first.....not something that those with a weak stomach would care to witness. Health is fine, that’s not the problem. I've not seen this mentioned by anyone else and I can’t imagine this being a part of the game play, so perhaps the problem is on my end. Still, a very very good game.

Before you raise anything else, raise your smarts until all the books give you +7 (Maybe around 80 or 90 smarts, +7 is max you can get). Hold on to all the books you find until you get your smarts that high and then read your books to maximize your skill points.

Rated highly - two issues to note: 1) game mentions that smarts helps with trade, but every pawn shop I went to said no trade, cash only. 2) lags VERY heavily when around baddies - very much the opposite of what I need to stay alive. Thanks!

Upgrading your stats is exactly the same way as it is in Fallout but I like it, it's an easy but complex way to develop your character the way you want to. Also when you would look at a bottle cap it says "I wonder if this would be some sort of currency" as it does in Fallout. So I bet the developers where inspired by Fallout for the strategy aspects of the game.

aandyrox - its most likely because you have set the game to not have enough amount of space to save it on, right click the game and click settings. then set it to unlimited (or a reasonable amount)

Hello, im having a problem with the save mode in Union City..see i save but when i go back the next day my save file is not there. What am i doing wrong?

That was cool and all, but the ending was a little.. weak? I mean, the survivors had no dialogue for the most part even though there was an option to talk to them and all in all the whole of the last part seemed very rushed. Not even in a, hey lets get the **** out of here before we die kind of rushed, more of a, we're running out of time or getting lazy before the games release...
On top of that is there going to be a sequel or what? I don't really want to put a spoiler in the comments but that severely dissapointed me..

game is really easy, basically you just go 100 points in blunt weapons, equip max dmg blunt weapon, get points in strenght until you can carry 150 pounds (i carried every weapon type simultaneously in the end) and then you put the other points in survival so those freaks deal like no dmg to you... books do the rest ... if you keep ducking when heavily armored freaks attack you later on you still hit them for 30 dmg (insta-kill)... too easy!

Just beat it. Towards the end I died on every screen. As truly awesome as this game is, it kind of sucks the only thing that really makes it difficult is if you shoot or act too fast you lose control until the game catches up with you. It just doesn't work when there are that many zombies. Too bad about the chick, but duh that was going to happen. Shoot her in the head and throw her overboard then just paddle back with a shovel or rifle. Or you know what? I still had gas in my inventory so that would work. I also had two rolls of duct tape, so I would have had a last go at the chick too.

Ok so it doesn't matter where my companion falls I am not given the option to pick them up. I have had trhem fall in the middle of a room with nothing else around to access and the option does not pop up... As you can guess this is really bad as you can not rez them. Please fix this.
