Just burned through 8k gems after epic upgrading my blacksmith with no improvement on my pick. either my pick is that awesome or i am severely unlucky. kinda wish i could just buy a pick since i have enough money to purchase the planet several hundred times over.

So I was up to like hellstone lvl50 and was able to leave it at 48 and easily farm it, and i clear history/cache on browser and I lose everything I had.. wtf? This isn't the first time I've deleted cache and this hasn't happened....

It helped that notch tweeted this game, but I personally found it due to everyone playing it and talking about it in Ant Hill.

time to retire from this game. I'm working on level hs 76, but it's just not worth it anymore. too many duds, although I have kept up with the upgrades. sorry, hate me as you see fit....

From my experience, the gem waster is only a waste if you have low blacksmith efficenty. For example I got a pick x2 as better after (with gem waster)upgrading my blacksmith but if i didnt i wouldve got a dude.

i think the gemwaster allows u use more than one gem at once
with no different outcome
so u save only a bit of klicking

Can you give us a certain answer on whether the gem waster really is a waste or not? Please? I have been playing this since it came out and I still haven't been able to figure out if it really is a waste like the description says.

I think an easy fix (or at least temporary fix) to the problem of the game becoming very slow in later phases is to remove the cap on blacksmith skill and expertise. After a month of playing improvement comes slowly, and the game gets dull.
