it is a matter of how many gems you've been shoving into your pickaxes lately.
if you upgrade once for every time you give the blacksmith a gem, expect to get mostly usefull pickaxes.
if you shoved 2000 gems at the blacksmith, and upgrade once, then you'll have to shove around 2000 or so gems at him for a decent chance of a small improvement.

What if instead of by random chance there were picks made out of different material and you can buy each ones with your money and sell your old ones and you could get a hell stone pick and have different picks made out of each material.

GS Auto Clicker FTW (It raises your active power bonus really fast, that's the key). BTW, once you get to hellstone, its pretty much over. Unless you just like staring at numbers and a big red rock all day.

Is pickaxe crafting broken at higher levels? I created a 1900 qual pick w/ my blacksmith at 4mil power (so 80bil power). I have upgraded my BS to 8mil now. (so a 1900 pick should be 160bil power). Howerver, of course, I need to upgrade my pick. 150,000 gems later, and still not one pick above 1000% WTF!!!!! When i was at low levels i was crafting 2500 qual all the time, within a few clicks.

Well I earn 10 quintillions a second now, I wonder if I can get a googol, or a googolplex even. The latter one would take way too long i think, but maybe someone has done it.

Whatever you mine whether its gems poo or Demonite, it will always have a chance of 7.95 a second to get a gem no less no more.

@typodestoyer yea i downgraded my rating as well. Never lost my data and you can do things to prevent it, but it gives it a big deficiency vs other games (I may like it for a 5/5 but it's inferior save system puts it to a 3/5 and then i give it a 100% of that from my subjective experience)

Started out 4/5, because it was acceptable, but having lost my data for the second time (despite it having saved consistently - my computer battery died, but the data should still have been there, as other flash game data was kept, up to saving), I'm lowering that to a 3/5, because "saving" should account for sudden termination of the program.
