Lv.2237 Hellstone is not the relative maximum, the relative max is now set at about 10^47 money, which when tested got me to around Lv. 1290, before my flash crashed, it would not go above 1.4789 x 10^47 money.

@JH34D Costing gold is one reason... but the main reason mass-crafting (using 11+ gems at once) isn't worth it, is because it goes through the process the full, let's say 39 times.
The chances are high (more than 50%) that the best pick will be created in one of the first 20 tries. But it goes on with the other 19, even if you have a pick of 1.000% quality (which wouldn't happen if you were clicking manualy, you'd stop when you got a satisfactory pick). Hence, it literaly wastes gems that you'd keep if you went through each of them in turns. In addition to costing gold.
Then again, it saves you 39 individual clicks, which is boring and takes time off mining... so I still do it.

By the time you get around hellstone 50, wasting your gems may actually be worth it. It simply takes too long to get a sufficient upgrade to the blacksmith, and you are better off trying for a higher quality pick in the meantime.

@flameaim: No, using more gems *is* worth it, especially at the higher levels. Just be sure to max out the blacksmith's skill/expertise as well! (Once I upgrade my pick, I raise my blacksmith skill quite a bit before trying to make a new pick. It's slow, but you'll be wasting gems if you don't.)

@flameaim as of what I've read, it just takes the best out of N tries if you use N gems. They say it probably isn't worth it because it costs gold. I think it can be usefull tho, if you're farming gems while on another tab, having to click craft 250+ times isn't really great

1 octillion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) per second in passive income! I can remember thinking one million per second seemed big... that was like 21 0's ago... my how time flies when you're clicking!

I did it, I finally reached Hellstone 100! I earn about 16 octillion dollars per second, enough the pay off the entire national debt a few quadrillion times. Only 2137 more hellstones to go!

Lol, I haven't played in 1 day, now I have 90 mil, thinking WTF, but then 1 second later I realize that this game runs when you don't play it.

In this game you can have enough money to buy millions of mansions and make at least 500k people billionares but yet, you cant even buy a new pickaxe.

So, im farming at hellstone lvl77, (at 20,22,294.51 quintillion per second with autoclicks only) im unable to damage helstone lvl 85, and my damage per autoclick at maximum power is 681, 663, 850.25 Bllion per click... how can this game even go to lvl 500 hellstone, let alone 2237?!?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i find it terrifying, that Diabwolf, who commented about the maximum level of hellstone being 2237, and any higher bugs the flash player, found that out through 6 days of playing. i cant imagine how he coudl afford all that so quickly. makes me think i'm horrible at this game, y'know?

@guy who wants no duds: if u get a rlly high quality pick, then u wont get anything better for a very long time...so just upgrade dat dang blacksmith a couple hundred times, and hope for the best, because:
if u always got a better pick, then in no time u would be mining hellstone lvl 2237, and ur quality would be like 89b octillion...other than that, ur suggestion isnt that bad
