@arus51 quality just means how lucky/powerful the pickaxe is the more base power the higher quality i used 5 gems and the lower the base power I saw that the lower the quality was so its just a reminder really for how lucky your blacksmith got when making it at his level hope i helped

"Q is its relative quality -- it doesn't affect anything but the higher that number, the luckier you were to craft it." So, does that mean the average quality upgrade is useless?

Also, your idle "damage" is probably below the rock's defense, therefore giving you 0 money per second. Go down in rock level.

Oh, and aren't the rocks we're mining gems in themselves? Clearly, if there's an infinite amount of them, we can just pick up a few, and give them to the blacksmith.

I think there should be some kind of level up system for the blacksmith. If he got better every time he crafted a dud, it might make progressing less tedious.
