OK I am really starting to get annoyed with this, does any one else get some sort of engine 70% of the time when upgrading. I upgraded 24 miners and got nothing but engines on them, then I started upgrading 4 Exhumers and got nothing but engines, Then I upgraded 3 caps and got nothing but engines. Can you give us better chases of getting something besides engines?

So I've been playing for a couple weeks now and the game totally rocks! It does have one major problem though: It's literally impossible to compete in multiplayer as a new player. It might as well not even be an option until you reach higher levels... In other online multiplayer games, I get matched up with people comparable to me. With this, it just seems like complete chance. Which means all the new players like me don't play cuz they don't want to get owned, which of course means when I do try to play, there are only pros playing with incredible upgrades... It's a great game but without a reasonable multiplayer option its just not for me... I would bet others have felt the same.

Does all cannon rounds DOUBLE DAMAGE?? like the description on "Cannon Mod" Technology which turns Blaster Ammo to Cannon Rounds which is also Double damage but slower fire rate?????

Goliath is seriously overpowered. I'm lvl 11 and I haven't found a method against orange yet. Goliath comes before I can spawn capitals and neither defense nor midclass ships can do anything about it.

@sfporter pincer is hard but the computers are slow you need defend all the time with turrets and attack the near base with missile and artillery

would you kindly remove the "engine" upgrade? that thing is more of a downgrade. only (moderadly) good on pumas and fighters that are not spec or miners.

It would be really great if you made the pincer campaign modes a little more beatable, because at the moment there is such a huge margin for error. That it begs the question why i would continue to bother with playing if i just get to a point where i hit a wall.

@Killer: There would be too much noise. So many ships firing at the same time. @chaotik: I did ask CWWallis about that a while back. He said it always gives the Platinum, but doesn't always show it. Check the number of plats. In my experience, I have never missed any platinum. It doesn't show in the text, but the number does increase. @Nik: I guess Wallis forgot the commas! :) I think there are 8 turrets on the Halo weapons. @Jack: Totally agreed. I wish it was easier to sync up fighters and meds and capital ships.

ok and also... sometimes the decision making by turrets is bad... Corvette garnering more attention than that massive capital ship that's destroying my entire base

It'd be helpful if we could see our own cloaked ships/turrets. Perhaps with a different color or indicator (though you can see the outline on very bright backgrounds like the sun)

A little thinking to how we can craft ships.
Let’s say you can reroll/upgrade any ship that you want, but the initial rating is permanent (so green for 1 mod, blue for 2, and 3 for red). They you could opt to keep mods prior to rerolling (for the same price of an upgrade 750 per or maybe even double for the 2nd). Then all remaining abilities would reroll. This would allow people to progress their ships, but at a higher expense rate and not totally relying on Random numbers.
Now you could opt to keep the keep stat permanent and only pay once, but I feel with the game as it is, you should pay each time you reroll (examples below due to character limit)

Example 1. I have a red ship with 20% fire rate, force rounds and piranha hangar. I want to just keep the 20% fire rate and reroll the other 2. I pay 750 for upgrade and 750 to keep the 20% fire rate for a total of 1500 and I get 2 new randomly rolled stats.
Example 2. I have a red ship with 20% fire rate, cloaking module and insurance. I want to keep the with 20% fire rate , cloaking module and reroll the third. I pay 750 for the upgrade, 750 to keep 20% fire rate, 750 to keep cloaking module (or 1500 for method 2) for a grand total of 2250 (or 3000) and I get 1 randomly rolled stat.

Love this game series. Just don't love how you have to spend money just to play the game now. You will spend more on this game then for a game on a console.

Tempted to suggest an economy based capital ship, a slow, lumbering monstrosity that mines metal, produces energy and heals nearby allies for a while before wading into battle with a fighter hangar, its mining microlasers and possibly a small shield. With some sound effects and a deteriorated space factory look it would be awesome.

HUM, THIS GAME SUCKS because there is NO limitation to the multiplayer, a newbie is fighting with a guy ranked 2000??? you are kidding me right? noob game 1/5...
