Almost all guides are worthless because the determining factor on whether you win or lose is if you are lucky enough to infect Madagascar.
I have been playing for the past 2 hours, and every single time, using any and all guides posted here, Madagascar has shut down its shipyard before getting infected.

Here's my strategy. Parasite + no symptoms + no transmissors + as many resistances you can cram into it. Guaranteed to have all regions infected by 75 days. Start popping in Fever and Boils around 50 days. Drug Resistance is critical.

Really, the guide probably does work, but I think it's only if you start in Madagascar. I ALWAYS lose with 1.9 million survivers in guess where! Madagascar!!!
