Any advice that includes "if x happens, just start a new game" suggests that there are issues with the game's design.
The key to a game's success should not hinge on the luck of the draw with regards to your initial starting point.

As we've discussed throughly over and over again, your chance to infect all of the world before Madagascar or Peru closes is just that chance. I mean this shit when you add a badge thats actually only be aquireable with luck and hardly any skill at all. Kongregate I'm deeply crestfallen over this badge.

For the relaxed one, pick the virus and make sure you start in Madagascar, if not, new game over and over.
Immediately sell the
Get Cold, Heat, Moisture and Drug I, Moisture and Drug II and Rodent and Waterborne.
Now the only thing you do is wait until every single place gets infected. It might take a while as there's only a shipyard in Madagascar, but it does work.
Once everything is infected (at approximately 105 disease points), get Tier II and III, get Kidney Failure and Hemorrhaging and any other infectuous/death enhancing symptoms.
If a region closes everything before being infected, just start a new game.

Easy to contaminate every country... You choose parasite, then you sell the symptom you have...
And you add symptom as soon as every country is contaminated...

as soon as i had 1 dead person madagascar closes.....and greenland seem to be a little stupid....they closed the airport when there was 100 ppl left alive too "prevent infection" whats the point?evryones infected already!

Obviously broken game.
Make it so you can choose where to start (Everyone would choose Madagascar obviously, but it's easier than having to restart it 20 times).
Anywhere else and Madagascar closes as soon as anyone sneezes (even if there are no visible symptoms).
Rate of infection has nothing to do with your acquisition of evolution points. Wtf is the point.

What needs to be said has been said. But what I want to see is a similar simulator... with zombies. The zombie "disease" could be upgraded to be more contagious and more effective zombies would develop and countries develop their methods to fight back. Zombie Apocalypse Now.

Seriously flawed - a parasite with no symptoms whatsoever has caused the world's nations to close airports, shipyards and borders. Why would they do that? :S

would be nice to have a population count when you mouse over a region. Would also be nice to have a population total on the screen, so I dont have to constantly pause the game to go to the world screen.

man i don't care if in real life a disease that had the same symptoms as the cold was spreading even if we noticed that it wasn't actually the cold there is no way that we would even think about closing an airport let alone shuting down the whole country
