[realistic] Started in USA. I used bacteria, buy cough & sneeze, then all the resistance up to 2. Then speed up until at least 10,000 people are infected. Then i sold cough and sneeze and wait for every country to be infected. (Madagascar was infected last for me, but it eventually did. Don't restart just because another country started closing airport etc.) Thanks Nodisalsi for the tip.

Greenland is best to start in with a virus. I've won like 3 times and the high scores list wont let you go above one.

I've cleared twice in realistic - just not under 100days yet.
Using Bacteria, I start with coughing and sneezing because they're contagious and buy all - up to level II - resistances. When I've infected 0.5% of the population - enough for a plane to carry an infected passenger - I then sell the symptoms and *hope* Madagascar gets hit by an infected boat before it closes down. Then I'll have enough pts to buy water transmission and all tier 1+2 symptoms to go lethal.

Great game ! P.S. - The best way to kill all of man kind is to start as a parasite. That is the silent type. Sell all simptoms of your parasite, then wait until you infected EVERY human on Earth ( you should buy everything else but simptoms, thought ). And THEN start buyng simptoms. That is how I KILLED EM ALL !!! MUAHAHAHAHA !!! Lol, anyway 5/5.

As soon as a region shut down its Borders, Port and Airfield its over for you.
Thats a bit IMBA, anyways you shuld prefferably start of on an Island (Such as Greenland or New Zeland) that will give you a notable vantage.

really fun game, i enjoyed playing it...after i figured it out, it deserved a badge and a card, and i encourage that you produce more pandemic games, only every landmass in the world is inducted into it. 5.5.

6) Wait until it infects every region. If it doesn't, go back to step 1. This should happen anywhere from 18-28 days if it does happen. If Madagascar closes its shipyard, wait a minute until all the current ships get to their ports because a ship may well still go to Madagascar.
7) Once every region is infected, add Sneezing, Coughing, and Sweating (unless one of these is your starting symptoms then you already have it covered).
8) Once your infected population is under 3.5 billion people, add 2 transmissions. Rodent and Airbourne are good.
9) Immediately after you do this, open up Tier II and Tier III. Hopefully you get free symptoms for opening these. Add all the Tier III skills that you can except Kidney Failure. Finish off Tier I as well (Fever if it wasn't your start symptom, and also Vomiting).
10) Wait it out. Add Tier II symptoms when you get enough points for them. I generally get everything except Nausea.

3) Start in New Zealand. If you don't get New Zealand, restart.
4) Leave your starting symptom.
5) Level 1 Cold, Heat, Moisture Resistance; Level 4 Drug Resistance.

3 Sell starting symptoms (if any), other than sneezing. If you don’t have sneezing, buy it.
4 Buy 1-1-1-0 Resistances.
5 Once your disease spreads to about 10 countries, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility.
6 Wait until all countries are infected. If this is after day 30, restart.
7 Pump 4 Drug Resistance and buy sneezing, coughing, vomiting.
8 After a few days(at latest around 35), unlock tier 2-3 keeping whatever symptoms it gives you.
9 Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, hypersensitivity, hemorrhaging and whatever else you can afford that increases lethality.
10 Wait until everyone dies. If you have extra points, unlock tier 4. (unlikely)

The most important information is knowing where to start: "Start in Canada, Greenland, New Zealand, Cuba." These places become infective quickly and tend to shut down very late. I got my disgustingly high score from New Zealand.
