Pretty easy with some patience. I waited about 80 days before giving my parasite any symptoms at all, putting 1 point in each resist and transmission, then increasing drug resist. Started with cysts, let it spread everywhere, and dumped everything else into fatal symptoms.
Apparently, spreading to Madagascar is tough if you don't start there. I started in Mexico (on my first win, 3rd game overall). I guess I just got lucky.
Greenland was the last country to have a hospital, and the first to get wiped out. Heh.

This game is good! 5/5. Maybe some pointers so you can make Pandemic 3 better?
1) COuntries should open airports/borders/dockls once the disease has become invisible for some time. Otherwise, there's no way to win the game!
2) Factor in natural death rate and natural birth rate into the world population
3) Parasites should be subgrouped as fungi, helminths (worms) and protozoa (like the one that causes malaria). Prions could be added too for fun.
4) War between countries as an event
5) Transmission via soil contact/ livestock/ STD.

OMG you need a way to get, somehow, into countries that lock out early. "Jump Species" to use birds as carriers or something - as soon as you start jumping countries the damn islands all close down.

My disease is in every single country and they are all red, but I haven't killed a single person and cant get evolution points to upgrade my symptoms, even though pretty much everyone on the planet has the disease.

fun game at first, but when the world goes apeshit over a disease that does nothing, that's not fun. this seems to be almost completely up to luck, regardless of how careful you are. fix that (or at least even up the odds), and this could be a lot of fun.

Not a bad idea (in terms of a game, i mean) and well-implemented. On thing: The disasters should be geographically distributed more realistically (i had floods in Australia while the Middle-east got hurricanes)

Pantherx. Alot of 17 year olds can get an internship with computer companies (especially if you are really smart too). Computer companies will actually hire you when you are like 20 or a little older. You could get a part time job while you are in college at a place like Intel or any other company that makes or works with computers

I never had a problem with Madagascar. In fact, the only area that has given me a problem was Argentina...
Anyway, this game got me off my gold hunt in Battlefield Bad company. That takes skill.
