I found Solprovider's method to work, with a little luck of course :D. The trick is not to buy the different transmissions; if the government starts handing out water/masks, then it's been a waste of evolution points in buying water/airborne.

3 times I managed to start in Madagascar, I did everything told in the guide. It never worked. The last time it even came to ONLY infecting all of Madagascar and not any other country at all.....lol... :(

The gameplay is fine, the interface is kinda bad... like having three separate screens just to set up the game instead of one, or the "new game" button taking you to the main menu instead of just starting a new game, or the tutorial screen popping up every time instead of just the first time (and it shouldn't even appear on the first time since there's a tutorial option in the menu). Other than those kinds of things, it's a good game.

Specific 'realism' problems. 1)Governments lack the ability to close borders easily. Well people (or people that think they are well) will tend to flee out of infected regions, and will succeed at some rate. 2) It should be much harder to generate a truly lethal disease. 3) Governments panic too easily often closing borders before the first death has occurred. 4) A closed border ought not be particularly protective versus insect or rodent vectors, since mosquitoes don't know to stop at borders and spraying isn't 100% effective.

Highly unrealistic on several levels, the gameplay isn't interesting, and winning is entirely luck based. Not a very good game.
