There should be breaking news that help your virus, like: People started self-medicating, then your virus gets certain amount of resistance. Or: (Animal) meat has gotten infected by new disease, people will start dying from hunger.

Well the whole game is luck, theres a big chance you will not get that one island....even if you started in Madagascar, cuba might not catch it....Its basicly blackjack, you have to have skill to play, but alot of luck helps.

How do you ever get all those islands infected? Like Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Madagaskar, Cuba, Greenland? I never seem to make it... :( Get all the resistances first and then the symptoms? Or which symptoms are ok to spread without being noticed?

Okay, something has gone terribly wrong. I breached all borders within 25 days, had the entire population infected by 40, and they still took about 130 to finish dying. I had the recommended traits, plus like, three 4th tier ones. What else can I do? :P

I don't take credit for it, but i used it and it works....Try to get Madagascar first then rest should be easy if you follow the guideline.

I was just about to start a new game right after madagascar closed its shipyards, but right as I was going to click menu a stray ship sailed to madagascar and infected it.
