That doesn't make sense. Waterborne + hurricane + uninfected area = infected area from all the water and wind... not to mention the chances increase if Airborne is also in the tranmissions..

Dude Madagascar has a bunch of freaking hypochondriacs x.x Somebody sneezes or coughs and they instantly close everything down lol. Wonder if they've closed all their borders already cause I just let out a sneeze >.>

1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) keep this comment alive Thanks for the comment! I got 13th of all time by using this method.

i started in madagascar but the only region i didnt wipe out was australia and all my virus did was make you sweat and people freaked out about it and shut everything down what is up with tha?

It's funny to see a boat roaming around without a shipyard to go. And even more fun to know that the game states that there are no survivors in the whole world and the boat is still moving.

A good way to beat the game in Realistic mode (more then 100 days)
Make sure you start in Madagascar, Chose the parasite and then you get started. Before you buy anything, stock up on all the drugs to make sure nothing stops your disease. Then buy Airborn, then waterborn, then buy all the colds, heats, and moistures, up to number III. then buy rodent. By then you should have every country infected with your disease. Then if you dont want to kill them right away, before you buy any symptoms, unlock all of them. then save up evolution points and buy them all at the same time. This should kill them all off slowly, and then, you've beaten the game.

Finally, I managed to get every single country sick in realistic mode and was just waiting for them to die when i wanted to listen to music, I went to push add a new tab and accidentally hit the back button. Now im pissed

@Xlegrade: Basically the number of hospitals that are still active around the world contribute to how fast the vaccine will be developed. If all the hospitals are still in order when the vaccine kicks in it will take about 25 days to develop a vaccine. But if you start making your disease deadly the hospitals shut down and the more hospitals shut down the longer it will take them to develop a vaccine. So if 0 hospitals are in working order it will take an infinite amount of time to produce a vaccine.
