fun premise but poor execution, way too dependent on luck. i hope they do another one that is a bit more realistic. id like to see livestock added as another vector, and instead of the planes and boats just randomly traveling it would be nice to see how many passengers are on board, how many of them are infected, how many infected rats or insects are on board and where it's headed. maybe a bit too much to ask but it would definitely make the game more strategic.

I'm confused as to why rodents and insects obey the closing of borders, wouldn't the pass anyway and continue the spreading?

the game is simple for all u people that say its impossible. just be a virus and have no symptoms,w8 untill it spreads everywhere, then just make symptoms. i win everytime

Thats weird. Greenland is the only place in Earth that has a hospital but when it is wiped the countdown for vaccine is still going.

Seriously, I figured rodents first cause rats on a ship but still no luck even thought rodents with parasites.... still no luck... im gonna go to Madagascar and cough on their water supply

a vacine is like a coin flip. i once had full drug protection and virus which vaccines r usually helpless against but it still worked and stopped me from spreading my disease but i was in relaxed and every1 was already infected so i won

I give up on figuring out this game. Last time I started in australia and did everything I could to increase infectivity but couldn't infect more then 100 ppl before stuff got shut down. Now I started in jepan and sold my symptoms to raise resistance while being invisilbe. Instead it infected ppl like wildfire, with zero infectibility mind you, now they are shuting stuff down and taking precautions against a syptomless, invisable, absolutly nonlethal, infectionless, parasite. I thought it was a good game but everything seems to be random and precautions are preset for a set number of infected people. Now I can't get madagascar or greenland because the world seems to notice something that for all intents and perposes, doesn't exist. set down to 2/5

I DUN LIEK ID! i was invisible with no symptoms and was playing as a parasite (low visibility) and they saw me. and MADAGASCARS shut their border. i must have been like... -1 visible O.o

and i once started at madagascar and it was very hard to get away and after that cuba left unaffected and yes, they will close borders even with no symptoms and wheather really dont help

the key is to spread with low visibility.. upgrade your airborn and water born.. insect and rodent.. then up your moisture resistance to level 2 and you can infect water plants (the drops on the map) only add symptoms after u hav infections in every country also, sell any symptoms that up your visibility (i.e. dimensia, vomiting, nausea) hope it helps =)

Suggestions for Pandemic 3:
1. Hospitals (and other infrastructures) should automatically shut down if a region is forsaken.
2. The lethality should factor into how likely a country is to close borders, shipyards, and airports. As it is, I have had diseases that were virtually invisible and didn't kill anyone, but entire countries closed themselves off.
3. How can the population of Madagascar repopulate the entire world, anyway?
4. Perhaps the effectiveness of disease-fighting measures could vary according to the country's technological level?

This game is impossible to beat. After other countries close everything, you can't infect them - honestly, the weather conditions do absolutely nothing to help you, but it should. There's already a time limit (vaccine) in order to beat the game, so allowing the virus to spread by hurricane or whatever would help. The only chance of beating this game is to start in Madagascar. LET US CHOOSE OUR OWN COUNTRY!!!

hey heres a strategy i used while beig a bacteria so don't know if it works on other classes but anyway this is what you do you get everything that helps spread your disease even if it makes it more visible and then when its spread worldwide add all lethal symptoms

Wow that time it was retarded....I had 0 symptoms and I was spreading my INVISIBLE dessease via high resistance and transmutes, but they still shut down everything even though my desease doesn't even do anything..... Countries don't start shutting down borders and airports because of a cough or sneeze...especially a nothing bug..

Good except the little things. Like the fact madagascar should have an airport to help infection there. Started at Australia the second time so getting off the island was hard, and they closed transit when 15 ppl were infected and handed out water and masks when only 100ppl were infected. A little wierd in someplaces but the baseline gameplay is good 4/5

This time, I started in Madagascar, but there weren't any boats leaving the island, despite the shipyards being open. I was able to infect the whole island without a ship leaving. And then they closed the ship yards. Seriously lame. This game needs fixing, and I'm not playing this again until that happens. Still 1/5.
