1) Pick Virus 2) Start in Canada, Greenland, New Zealand, Cuba (if not, restart) 3) Sell starting symptoms (if any), other than sneezing. If you don’t have sneezing, buy it 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 Resistances 5) Once your disease spreads to a few countries, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes or this is after day 30, restart 7) Pump 4 Drug Resistance and buy sneezing, coughing, vomiting 8) After a few days, unlock tier 2-3 keeping whatever symptoms it gives you 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, hypersensitivity, hemorrhaging 10) Wait until everyone dies. just gonna use it

That pisses me off. I just started a game, and in 85 days, my disease killed everybody in Madagascar and didn't infect any other regions.

Unrealistic...USA closes everything, all other countries are infected and dying...are you telling me that there isn't 1 Mexican that can jump the border after it's closed, I mean damn!

I love how when 95% of my world was infected and some of them even forsaken, Greenland had their airports and shipyards open. Greenland is total opposite of Madagascar.

This game is horribly unrealistic. Once everything is shut down you can't do anything, except for just wait until all your regions die off and wait until they ship the vaccine. Storms/earthquakes/floods/other events do NOTHING, Madagascar's port doesn't send ships off or accept them EVER, the only way to infect it is through luck of starting with it, and closures trigger too soon in the game. (Everything in the whole country closed all at once? I think not...) Because of the closures and country events the news scrolls by too fast and it's impossible to tell if your virus has infected any other regions. Apparently visibility has no meaning in this game (Ex. Heart Failure triggers no visibility, still know it's there right from the beginning.) I hope for the best and wait for Pandemic III for it to make more sense, possibly making storms and other events useful and help with infecting.

in relaxed mode i started with madagascar the whole pop was infected but the virus did not spread??

Ok, it seems really ridiculous to me that the secret to beating the game is a blatantly undocumented effect of the settings. If you speed up game play it is far more difficult, if not impossible, to win. I spent all day following the rank 1 resistances, only sneezing until 4 regions, etc. process and it failed every time. Finally I decided just one time to try on regular speed and it worked the first try. On top of that, natural disasters occur far less frequently at lower speed as well. Typically at high speed there would be multiple disasters prior to the second country getting infected. At normal speed there were 5 countries infected before any of those happened.

as much as i love this game, i don't get how it got badges over others. you'e strategy on spreading the virus seem to be random anyway...which might be realistic, but very, very annoying!
