I only had 1st tier symptoms (coughing, sneezing, fever, vomiting and sweating) but my virus still killed people... Is vomiting lethal?

I left a comment about the easiest (and possibly only idk) way to infect Madagascar years ago when I got the badge and suggested people upvote it so people can see it. Apparently nobody did, so here is my tip again:
Your virus/bacteria/whatever starts in a random country. You can randomly start in Madagascar. Just restart until you do.
KEEP IN MIND that this isn't foolproof. You still have to play strategically to win. If you just try to rush through it and not pay close attention to everything going in in the game world, another country can easily lock down and you won't win, but the hardest part will be out of the way with this trick.

so i had no symptoms, 0 visibility, and just before i infect madigascar, entire worl realizes they are infected with a disease that does nothing, and so yeah

I finally did it after too many attempts i started in Madagascar and infected everywhere. I feel slightly accomplished.

Today I started in Mexico. Top of Africa and Mexico Survived.
Then I started in Greenland. All countries were then infected.

In another attempt there were three ships stuck in a loop because all the shipyards had been closed so they couldn't go anywhere.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I started out in Madagascar and despite minimal visbility they still closed their shipyards before it spread to anywhere else.
That's about the point where I quit playing.

I've never been happier than when I finally infected Madagascar....
Ive never been sadder than when all of south america closed everything and prevented the end of humanity...

Sir our reports suggest there is a rumor that some one may have sneezed in China.
Madagascar president: Dear God, CLOSE THE BORDER IMMEDIATELY!

After 3 o 4 years of randomly playing this game I managed to wipe out the entire world... I never though that would actually make me happy

I've now had 6 games in a row where I've infected everything but Madagascar... I think I'm just going to keep reloading until it starts there.

@BoinkySiwinski: The only thing you can do is keep quitting and restarting until you get the starting country you want. It could take a couple tries, or a couple hundred.

Same strategy started in Madagascar won easily. Seems starting country is critical. If you start in a large country like China or Russia that the disease will infect lots of people which will get the government attention and you will lose. Alternately, by starting in a small country your disease will inflict a small number of people and not be noticed. Basically, large country equals depth first which loses, small region means breadth first which wins.

Hmmm, I have a stealthy trait parasite with no symptoms and heat, cold, and moisture I started in Russia and lost due to Madagascar closing its borders. Seems I am correct that the number of people infected is key. That if 100 million people in Russia get infected other coutries panic, yet if 27 million in Australia get injected who cares.

Hmmm, lost again with parasite, started in China, only have 1 of heat, cold, and moisture resistance. Day 45 have about 166 million people infected, no symptoms. Seems number of people infected is key to Madagascar closing its borders along with other countries. Therefore, ideally you want to start in a small country with an air port and shipyard.

Hmmm, I tried to rush my previous strategy and it didn't work. On day 58 or so every country except Madagascar was infected which closed its shipyards. Only difference was I waited to get drug resistance level 4 to later when I won and starting country. Seems the government shut down transportation based upon visibility and number of infected people. So, I ended up infected too many people in one country and not enough in another. Trick seems to be low infectious and visibility until all countries infected.

Tried virus a bunch of times, couldn't win. Now I won twice with parasite. Went 4 drug resistance and one of the rest until all regions were infected. I started with Australia and the governments barely did anything till people started dying on day 85 or so. Won on day 200 or so realistic. Now to try to speed up the process for the impossible badge.

why you made quest so difficult to make that depends on rng, impossible that 100 days quest is just crazy too but exterminated everyone is same or little less impossible, using guides and at the end so much rng
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
1/5 kind of interesting, until you realize that everything depends on rng to let things happen. games that have rng-dependent gameplay should never have the "strategy" tag. ive already had my fill of the "necronomiconquerer" and i dont want to get screwed over by more things i cant control. heres how you play this game: step 1: choose a class. step 2: start the game from a random starting location. step 3: whenever you can, get random evolutions. step 4: win because the game rolled correctly or lose. i imagine this would be ok if it wasnt played for badges, although i have to give this 1/5 because i do not like the rng gameplay.

The flash thing is all about Chrome's policy, there's nothing devs can do about it. It's explained in the little white box even. Don't blame game devs for it! For the realism post earlier, how realistic is it when a virus can simultaneously mutate all over the globe? That's a lot less realistic than countries turtling up successfully.

The idea of this game seems interesting but, after some trials, I wonder how this game could be rated as high as 4.2 A game consist in maximum 30, even say 40 clicks, and almost no possibility to modify you're choices or to interact/interfere with what happens to the world. It's rains evolution points after some time and then suddenly freezes. You're game over once a country closes all borders, airports and shipyards. No more possible action/reaction. Forever they stay clean because rats, mosquito's, and even air respect the law and never cross the border...... Realistic? Let me laugh.
